00:00 What's up Harper's Bazaar? I'm Dewayne Wade.
00:02 Hope you guys are ready to go to bed with me.
00:04 [upbeat music]
00:07 How I start my night is I light a candle first.
00:14 Hotel Collection, thank you guys.
00:16 I love the smell of Hotel Collection.
00:19 So to create my vibe and my energy
00:20 to kind of wind myself down, I light a candle.
00:24 I'm all about the vibes.
00:25 My skincare routine is one of the most important things
00:28 to start my day and to end my day.
00:30 So the first thing I do is I start with my face wash.
00:34 The products that I've been using over the last two years
00:36 is PCA Skin.
00:37 These products have been very good to my skin.
00:39 It's kind of even my skin out.
00:41 If you go back and watch some old photos,
00:44 you will see kind of the discoloration in my skin.
00:47 So they tell you to just put like a drop, it's like a dime.
00:51 I like it soapy.
00:53 So I go like two quarters.
00:58 They lie, but I really like it soapy, so.
01:00 All right, so get it all in there.
01:05 Before I start, I know you're supposed to do
01:09 these soft motions like this.
01:12 What I try to make sure I get it all in there.
01:17 This is when I realized how big my hands actually are
01:20 when I actually put both of them on my face, by the way.
01:22 Told you guys, I like a lot of soap.
01:24 I like to get the day off me.
01:26 And so, it's soapy.
01:28 Probably put entirely too much, I can't open my eyes,
01:30 so let me rinse this off.
01:31 Woo, all right.
01:35 Here we go.
01:36 And something that's very important in my next step
01:39 is my toner.
01:40 Just put some on it like that.
01:42 And just really to just even my skin out.
01:45 So just really just to wipe through,
01:47 make sure that I'm hitting all the spots.
01:50 Especially this nose.
01:51 This nose of mine, which is very shiny.
01:53 I get my hair cut often, so my beard area
01:56 is a very important area to make sure
01:58 that I don't have breakouts.
01:58 So I have to make sure that this area around the line
02:01 is really, really taken care of.
02:03 And so, making sure that I keep the toner
02:06 and making sure I keep my face clean in this area
02:09 is really, really important.
02:10 This thing is not gonna be great.
02:12 From there, the next products that I use is,
02:16 I use a little brightening serum.
02:18 And once again, it's something that I use
02:20 because of little discoloration in my skin.
02:23 And so I just put a little bit on before bedtime.
02:26 In the morning time, I probably go with a lot more
02:28 than I will.
02:29 And so, just that much from bedtime.
02:31 Just a little bit.
02:32 And then right here, the boosting serum
02:37 is something right here that really makes,
02:38 this is what people think,
02:40 and why people think I have makeup on.
02:42 And so I go with one drop of that as well at night.
02:44 So smooth, so silky.
02:49 I'm all about that too.
02:51 When it comes to my face products,
02:53 it has to feel a certain way going on my skin.
02:56 Even the face wash, it has to lather a certain way.
02:58 It's refreshing.
03:02 Last but not least, acne gel.
03:07 Throughout the day, sometimes,
03:09 certain little pimples pop up
03:11 and I wanna make sure I take care of them.
03:12 So it's important to do it at night.
03:14 And I only need a little drop of this.
03:15 And so, I normally have little areas of concern
03:18 around my beard or maybe on my forehead.
03:20 And so I make sure that the night before
03:22 that I put a little acne gel on.
03:24 It's very, very important for me.
03:26 So just a little drop on my finger.
03:27 Like that, just a little drop.
03:30 And I try to find the area of concern.
03:32 Right here, I got a little pimple that's trying to,
03:33 he trying not to let me be great tomorrow.
03:35 You see him right there?
03:37 He don't want me to be great, but we gonna be great.
03:39 So just a little acne gel in the different areas
03:41 that is needed is something
03:43 that's very important before bed.
03:45 In the midst of that, my lips.
03:49 I got big lips and they like to be dry.
03:52 And so in the midst of this,
03:53 I make sure that I put a little lip balm on
03:56 before I go to bed.
03:57 It keeps them soft, you know.
04:00 This is very important for me as well.
04:03 Just the same way as I wanna take care of my skin.
04:06 It was very important for me.
04:06 It is my overall skin, is how soft my skin feels.
04:10 Even when it comes to having tattoos and all the things,
04:13 it's really staying, making sure my skin stays hydrated.
04:17 And so just make sure that, and it smells so good.
04:20 And I'm about scent.
04:22 I wish you guys could smell it.
04:23 It's this vanilla body butter by Prowley company
04:26 that I'm a part of that we made this.
04:28 And for me, it's really just about one,
04:30 I wanna smell good when I hit the pillow,
04:32 but also to wanna keep my skin soft.
04:35 And so a little body butter before bed never hurts nobody.
04:38 And I like to look in the mirror, makes me feel good.
04:46 Little lavender oil right here.
04:48 Shout out to Donato Skin Food.
04:51 I get manicures and pedicures,
04:52 and so I gotta take care of my hands.
04:54 I gotta take care of my feet.
04:55 And so before I get in bed,
04:56 I make sure I dab a little bit of this on my hand
04:58 and I take care of these feet.
05:00 Keep your feet soft, man.
05:02 They don't have to be hard.
05:03 You don't wanna scratch a woman
05:04 or you don't wanna scratch anybody.
05:05 I'm not gonna bother showing you,
05:07 y'all don't wanna see these things down here,
05:08 but just know my feet are soft and I take care of them.
05:12 Also too, I spend a lot of time on my hair.
05:14 Shout out to Donato for giving me the barber brush
05:16 to make sure that I could travel with it
05:18 and take care of my hair.
05:19 And so I just go through a quick little brush
05:24 to try to lay my hair down before I put my do-rag on.
05:27 In my community, in the black community,
05:32 this is one of the most important things to travel with,
05:35 to always have, is your do-rag.
05:37 And so I've been laying my hair down,
05:39 trying to get waves since I was a young kid.
05:43 And it's no different now as a 42-year-old man.
05:45 So do-rag at night, but I try not to put it too tight
05:48 'cause I don't wanna wake up
05:48 with these lines all on my head, on my face.
05:51 So I just lay it on there real nice.
05:53 Do-rag duet.
06:00 Once I get done with my routine,
06:02 I think it's very important for me to journal,
06:04 to end the day and to be able to talk about
06:07 everything that you experienced, everything that you felt.
06:09 And so I just sit down and I just allow my feelings
06:12 and my feels and everything that happens to just come out.
06:15 It's time to go to bed.
06:16 I'm gonna go journal.
06:17 You guys, please go check out my podcast,
