00:00I felt amazing that day.
00:02I felt, I was really feeling myself that day.
00:05Hi Harper's Bazaar, I'm Jennie,
00:08and we're going to be looking back
00:09at some of my fashion moments.
00:11This is fashion flashback.
00:14I'm like looking back at myself, like judging me.
00:17This is fun.
00:19This was our very first debut stage
00:24as Blackpink for Boombayah.
00:27For this stage, we were playing around
00:30with the idea of having a uniform, but make it fashion.
00:34I used to talk to my stylist a lot
00:37regarding what's more of Jennie.
00:40To make anything special,
00:41I've always had interest in fashion since I was a kid.
00:44So it was just natural for me to like give any feedbacks
00:47or ideas that I had back to the stylist.
00:49We just destroyed this vintage t-shirt that we owned
00:53and just made it into a thing.
00:55I would say it's like a punk,
00:56uniform-y type of Blackpink vibes.
01:01Would I wear this today?
01:03Probably not.
01:05But I think it's a very iconic look of Blackpink.
01:09All of us really loved what we were wearing back then
01:12and we just really enjoyed it.
01:15So this was in 2018 at a Chanel event in Seoul.
01:20I really love this look.
01:22It does.
01:23Okay, I learned this word.
01:24I'm gonna say it.
01:25Not a cool look.
01:26I would say like a marine sailor-inspired look.
01:30I do remember we made the skirt very short
01:34into a mini skirt, which was a big step for us.
01:37We had to do a lot of fittings and change the fit a lot,
01:40but I think overall it came out very lovely
01:43with the red lipstick.
01:45It's definitely one of my favorite looks.
01:47Being a part of the Chanel family
01:49was a dream come true moment for me.
01:51I just grew up loving all the items
01:54I would steal from my mom's closet
01:56and just watching the shows.
01:58It was a dream to wear one day as a little girl.
02:01I'm so shy.
02:02I get really shy talking about this.
02:04So honored, you know?
02:06There's not words to describe how I felt back then.
02:11Thank you, guys.
02:12Wow.
02:13You guys are really taking me back.
02:15This look I remember specifically
02:19was for a stage for Solo.
02:21This is a URDEM dress that we made it into our own.
02:27I just love this look.
02:28This really, to me, is like what Solo represents.
02:32We styled it with jeweled hair clips on the side.
02:35I definitely remember cutting that dress really short.
02:39Then we did the one-sided off-shoulder look.
02:42It had a lot to do with the choreography,
02:44so we kind of wanted to make that side
02:47a little bit revealing.
02:49I think I wore this again in our world tour in 2019.
02:53I just wanted to wear this dress one more time.
02:56I just had to give a life moment for the dress
03:00with the fans, so yeah.
03:02This is definitely one of my favorite moments in my life.
03:07In my life, I said.
03:09This was a custom-made look for our 2019 Coachella stage.
03:13There's two looks,
03:14but we didn't have enough time to get changed
03:16in the backstage,
03:17so I decided to throw on this see-through,
03:20flowy dress on top so I could just rip it open
03:24to go back and do the black-pink thing.
03:26Because we have a lot of choreography happening
03:29in every song, we do want the ability to move around
03:32but also look cute, so that's the challenge every time,
03:37I think, for us to make both happen at the same time.
03:40Interacting with the fans and just the energy
03:43that I got from the crowd that day,
03:45that's when I realized, wow, there's a lot of people
03:48who, across the world, who probably don't speak my language,
03:52listens to our song and really enjoys us.
03:56I think it's a perfect Coachella moment.
03:59This lovesick girl look was 100% just made from nothing.
04:07We customized this from head to toe.
04:11We made the skirt into a top,
04:13and then we created a top out of a scarf,
04:16and then sewed the cardigan on top
04:18because we thought the shoulders were showing too much,
04:21and then we had to find the matching color pants
04:25with the skirt.
04:27A lot happens shooting videos for us.
04:29We do thousands of fittings,
04:31and we create something out of nothing always,
04:35but for the best, and we all enjoy it.
04:38Ah, this was BLACKPINK attending DMAs for the first time.
04:43We did the carpet, and we performed Pink Venom.
04:47We were just so excited to be there.
04:49We all were wearing different brands that day at the carpet.
04:52Obviously, I'm wearing a beautiful Chanel piece there.
04:55I loved my hair and makeup that day.
04:56I just have to say it out there,
04:58but me and Rosie were, I think,
05:00talking about how unreal it is for us
05:03to be a part of this, not the ones that are watching.
05:07I mean, it was just a really proud day for BLACKPINK.
05:11It was the first time performing Pink Venom on a big stage.
05:15Lisa also got an award that day.
05:18We were so happy to be there for her,
05:20and a day of celebration.
05:23I love this photo of us.
05:26We look pretty.
05:29Oh, I love this.
05:31This is something that I have
05:32an actual current memory of in my brain.
05:34So this look was the idol red carpet look
05:37at the Cannes Film Festival.
05:39This was definitely my princess moment
05:42that I've been dreaming of.
05:44This was a couture dress from Chanel,
05:47and I remember we pulled down the black sleeves
05:51that were supposed to go around either the hair
05:54or covering the whole shoulders.
05:56We just pulled it down to make it a little bit more feminine
06:00and just princessy.
06:03This moment is so special for me.
06:05The carpet and just being there with the whole crew.
06:09I've known Abel before we started,
06:12so he's just great to be around with.
06:15Lily's just so fun.
06:16Troy's so fun.
06:18Rachel's so fun.
06:19Yeah, I had a great time.
06:21So that scene in the backyard, the choreography scene,
06:24I learned that without a mirror.
06:27I did that in like an hour, two hours, less than that.
06:31So I'm very proud to get that done in this spot.
06:36This was the Met 2024.
06:38I'm wearing a custom Aaliyah look.
06:40It's in this beautiful cobalt blue color.
06:44It reminds me of the ocean.
06:47We added a bit of the pearl chain around the waist
06:50to keep it classic.
06:52The earrings were matching the belly chains
06:54that I was wearing.
06:55To make the heels in the right color
06:58was definitely a challenge for us
07:00because we wanted to get it right.
07:02We had so many options,
07:03but I'm so happy that we went with the blue.
07:05I felt amazing that day.
07:08I felt, I was really feeling myself that day.
07:12This one brings back a lot of memories.
07:15This was in Capri.
07:17I walked for Jacquemus' 15 years anniversary show.
07:23First of all, this dress was everything.
07:26It was so perfectly fitted for my body and so gorgeous.
07:30Just when I first saw it, I fell in love.
07:32When I put it on, I fell in love even more.
07:34We added a little bit of Capri touch
07:36with the color of the bag and the shoes.
07:39And Simon is just the best to work with.
07:42He made sure that everything felt right
07:45and everything felt me.
07:46When I look back at this photo or any of the videos,
07:49I'm like, how did I do it?
07:51For a petite girl to walk a show means a lot, really.
07:55Thank you, Simon, once again.
07:57I love you for making this dream come true for me
08:00and I'll never forget it.
08:03Be sure to check out my Hoppers Bizarre cover.
08:06Love you guys.
