00:07 >> Obviously it's a unique spot in the draft to have the first overall pick,
00:10 the ninth overall pick, just from an organization in general.
00:14 It's not gonna happen too often.
00:15 And again, every year is so individually based.
00:18 This is that year.
00:19 And then also a core group of players that are already in place on offense,
00:24 including the quarterback that played at a high level and
00:27 have displayed the ability to win football games and make plays.
00:32 So I think the combination of those two things were really intriguing.
00:35 And then even further more than that was just the, even from that initial
00:40 interview, just the connection and interaction between Coach Ibra Fluss and
00:45 Ryan Poles and CNA Connected Organizations.
00:47 What's the 2024 Bears gonna look like in terms of how we're calling certain
00:52 coverages, how are we calling routes?
00:54 What concepts do we wanna have as part of our core offense when we start OTAs and
01:00 we start with that building block approach as teachers?
01:03 So that's the first part of it.
01:05 And to me, having a system that's speaking the same language,
01:09 that's multiple in its ways that it can attack a defense.
01:12 Then you start to get the players and
01:14 you start to know what your personnel is gonna look like for that season.
01:17 And then you build it around the player's skill set.
01:19 And I think for me, that's been a part of my core beliefs and
01:23 I feel like it's worked out well with the different quarterbacks that I've had
01:26 a chance to be around over the past seven years.
01:28 From afar, mainly my impression of a lot of these quarterbacks,
01:31 all the college quarterbacks was what an unbelievable college season we just came
01:35 off of with these guys making some of these dynamic plays down the stretch.
01:39 Whether it was leading into the championship games or
01:42 the bowl games leading up to that, the regular season.
01:45 Obviously for me being out on the West Coast,
01:47 get a little bit of more exposure to the Pac-12.
01:50 I guess the Pac-12 still last year as that thing evolves every day in my mind.
01:56 But so just in terms of that, it's been more of generality,
02:00 seeing all these guys perform at a high level under the national spotlight.
02:04 Especially there's multiple quarterbacks that have already performed on the highest
02:07 stage in big games and obviously he's one of them.
02:11 And excited to really, when we start this afternoon with some of our draft process,
02:15 then the combine kicks off.
02:17 To me, that's the chance to really dive into this.
