00:00 A short slate in the NBA on a Monday, just four games.
00:07 It was really the first time following the All-Star break, we didn't see at least eight,
00:11 ten, twelve games on a night in the association.
00:15 But we did have some wild conclusions, including last night inside Madison Square Garden.
00:21 What should have been anything but wild, based on the pregame number.
00:24 The New York Knicks, an 11.5 point home favorite against the Detroit Pistons inside the world's
00:30 most famous arena, MSG.
00:33 New York should have strolled to a victory.
00:35 It was a game the Knickerbockers desperately needed, having lost six of their last eight
00:41 entering and it seemed like that was going to be seven of nine against Detroit.
00:46 Instead, a wild 20 seconds to end out regulation.
00:51 Jalen Brunson attempts a three, it misses.
00:54 Long rebound goes out near the end line.
00:57 It is saved by a Detroit Pistons player.
01:00 The ball is then knocked loose by Josh Hart, ends up in the hands of Hartenstein for New
01:05 York, who kicks it out to Dante DiVincenzo, who tries to get the ball back inside.
01:11 It is taken away by Amand Thompson, which is then a loose ball, a collision between
01:16 Dante DiVincenzo and Jalen Brunson.
01:19 Brunson gets the basketball back.
01:21 He takes it down, hands it into Josh Hart, who goes up.
01:25 Hoop and the harm, the bucket is good and the end one.
01:28 I think I said Amand Thompson.
01:29 I think it's a Sar that plays for Detroit.
01:32 Either way, a wild finish inside Madison Square Garden.
01:36 The Knicks come out on top, 113-111 over Detroit.
01:41 The Pistons do cover though as your 11.5 point underdog.
01:44 Yeah, they were big time dogs and that will come in at a game four and 24 on the road
01:48 and rightfully so.
01:49 The Pistons actually trying to win games now, which is crazy.
01:51 We saw a close one a couple nights ago against the Orlando Magic at home.
01:55 Then we see a close one here on the road against the Knicks, but shout out the Knicks here.
01:58 And again, they're not on any sort of a win streak here where they went two of the last
02:01 three games, but losers overall over the past couple of weeks heading into the all-star
02:05 break.
02:06 And quite frankly, any win for them is a big win.
02:08 You look at their starting lineup.
02:09 Okay.
02:10 Jalen Brunson is a really good basketball player.
02:11 The rest of the players stink and it's great.
02:13 Like you look at that game last night and I saw that line as being a little bit too
02:16 high for myself.
02:17 We've got to wait for that original starting lineup to come back here for the Knicks to
02:20 see what they actually are.
02:22 So just like the Philadelphia 76ers playing without Joellen bead, at least this ballclub
02:26 here is now saying, you know what, against teams we have to beat, we are winning.
02:29 Because again, quite frankly, looking at that starting lineup, it's bad for the Knicks.
02:33 You'll take that.
02:34 You say, oh my goodness, they didn't cover that game last night.
02:36 No, no, no, no, no.
02:37 That's a great win for the Knicks.
02:38 It's Brunson and the boys just trying to scrape by until the starters come back to the lineup,
02:43 which includes Julius Randall.
02:44 When are they coming back by the way?
02:46 My goodness.
