00:00 Speaking of NFL free agency, the new year begins on March 13th.
00:04 How different do you think this roster is going to look next season?
00:07 It depends if you believe Jerry's all-in pledge.
00:11 First of all, and it's funny, now they just call it legal,
00:14 they call it legal tampering, which begins on the 11th, which is ridiculous.
00:18 And then legal, legal, non-tampering begins, of course,
00:21 when the business year starts on the 13th.
00:24 If you believe that Jerry Jones is all-in, in the conventional meaning of that,
00:29 and along with the hint in which he said,
00:31 "I'm not going to just think about the future, I'm going to think about this year,"
00:37 because around here, for the last decade or so, they've tried to do both,
00:41 then the roster should look more than the usual 30% change difference.
00:45 You're then not just trying to stabilize the roster, you're trying to improve it.
00:51 And trying to improve it, because that's not unusual,
00:55 improve it in a way where you're putting salary cap money on the credit card, so to speak,
01:01 and worrying about, as I like to put it, worry about 2027 in 2027.
01:06 And starting on the 11th and right around the 13th,
01:10 we're going to see what Jerry's true commitment level to that is,
01:14 because the Cowboys almost never are early shoppers in free agency.
01:18 For better or for worse, they end up buying on the third tier
01:23 and getting a bargain for doing so.
01:25 Brandon Cooks, now these were trades, but the concept is the same,
01:29 Brandon Cooks is a bargain for how they acquired him.
01:32 Svon Gilmore, a bargain for how they acquired him.
01:35 But that's not all in, in the way most Cowboy fans think all in means when Jerry says it.
