What's Dallas Cowboys Plan For All-Pro Linemen Tyron And Tyler Smith?

00:12 We know that Tyler Smith obviously is about to be an institution around here

00:16 to the point where COO Stephen Jones is talking about him as if he's Larry Allen

00:21 2.0, maybe the highest compliment you can give an offensive lineman in this building.

00:26 And Stephen is also saying while at the combine in Indianapolis,

00:30 that it is the Cowboys intention to keep Tyron Smith also an institution,

00:35 who is going to the Hall of Fame probably exactly five years after the day,

00:40 year that he retires.

00:42 There has been speculation about Tyron Smith considering retirement now,

00:46 that speculation is inaccurate from everything that we've gathered.

00:49 And Stephen says that the Cowboys plan to sit down soon with Tyron and

00:54 his representative and try to hammer something out.

00:56 There's numbers out there that are guessing that Tyron Smith might be a one

00:59 year $7 million deal, thumbs up on that, Cowboys do that.

01:04 That's not a risk.

01:06 And of course, at his age 33 and with his injury background,

01:10 there's always gonna be some level of risk with the reward.

01:13 But if it's affordable in that way, that's not problematic at all.

01:17 That does not kick your salary cap in the crotch.

01:21 And then you keep for one more year Tyron and

01:24 you keep it guard for at least one more year Tyler.

01:27 And then as Stephen also mentioned over the course of this week,

01:30 you have the position flex with Tyler Smith.

01:33 So if you ever wanna make the move to him and tackle, you could do that.

01:36 Larry Allen did the same thing.

01:38 But if you can afford Tyron and leave him at left tackle and

01:43 make sure you get yourself a swing tackle and

01:45 the Cowboys can fortify themselves there as every team should.

01:49 And then Tyler Smith at left guard, you are a beast in the east

01:54 on the left side of your Cowboys offensive line in Frisco with the Cowboys.
