00:00One team that we do take a look at here specifically early in the season is the Los Angeles Dodgers and why their leadoff guy Mookie Betts has been absolutely incredible.
00:11Take a look at the NL MVP odds right now at the FanDuel Sportsbook. He's the leader in the clubhouse by a wide margin.
00:17Craig at a plus 270 price followed up by Ronald Acuna Jr. 7-1 along with Fernando Tatis Jr.
00:22And then you see that little shelf there with Shohei Otani at 14-1 along with Olsen and also Harper.
00:27It's been fun to watch with Mookie Betts. It's great that we talk about this the day after he goes 5-for-5 last night on the West Coast.
00:34He's been nothing short of sensational since getting to L.A., Craig.
00:37Yeah, and look, there's a reason why he's the favorite in the market.
00:41It's an early time of the year, though, to dive in on a favorite, I think, for an MVP vote.
00:46I think you're probably better served to try and find somebody down the list that you think that has a shot.
00:51And, you know, honestly, the way that I look at it here is if I'm, you know, certainly Betts has been out of this world.
00:57There's just basically no better player in baseball at this moment.
01:01But I got to tell you, at the end of the year, if I was to handicap this, I think Bryce Harper is going to be in this conversation.
01:08And I think people forget he missed some time last year coming back from an injury to his elbow and ended up playing DH for most of the season and then first base.
01:17He's never an MVP candidate. I think he's got a good market right now.
01:21And Philadelphia, for the first time in a while, are playing good baseball in April, Donnie.
01:25Like, that never happens. So I would look out for Harper there.
01:30Naturally, the players ahead of him are going to steal more bases, play probably more important positions on the field defensively than Harper will.
01:39But let's not forget about that guy. It's a future Hall of Famer right there.
