00:00 To survive a war, you gotta become a war.
00:04 Here's a look at the brand new Haya Toys Rambo First Blood Part 2 Exquisite Super Series
00:09 John Rambo 1/12 scale figure.
00:12 Let's go to the box.
00:36 Only a few years after the All Out Guerrilla War in First Blood, John Rambo's former
00:56 commanding officer Colonel Sam Troutman pulls him out of jail only to send him back to a
01:00 place he swore he'd never return, the impenetrable jungles of Vietnam.
01:04 Exquisite Super John Rambo stands at 6.3 inches tall, fully articulated collectible figure
01:08 featuring a custom designed body to accurately reproduce his classic poses from the movie.
01:13 The headscarf, vest, jacket and jeans are all made of real cloth, ensuring both superior
01:17 poseability and aesthetic appeal.
01:20 You really think you can set this guy up to fail, then you've clearly forgotten you're
01:23 dealing with Rambo.
01:24 Just before we get a closer look at the new Haya Toys Exquisite Super Series Rambo from
01:28 First Blood Part 2, let me back up just a bit and thank the folks over at Haya Toys
01:32 that once again did provide this sample we could have a look at.
01:34 We've already looked at Rambo First Blood, now we're following it up with the second
01:38 film Rambo First Blood Part 2.
01:39 I made the rookie mistake in the earlier review of calling it Rambo First Blood Part 3.
01:44 We all know it's Rambo 3, the inferior of the three films before they went back on track
01:48 with Rambo 4.
01:50 The figure itself though is actually on pre-order right now on sites.
01:53 Most of the sites in fact actually had this guy at $104.
01:56 The earlier Rambo was actually sitting just below $80, so this guy's going to be a couple
01:59 of dollars more, well about $20 more.
02:02 The figure though is still going to stand about 6 1/4 inches in height, or Rambo is
02:06 standing 16 centimeters tall.
02:08 As for comparing Rambo with the earlier looked at one, let's bring in Rambo from First Blood.
02:13 Obviously, the colors of his costume are completely different.
02:15 We're going to start things off similar to what we looked at with First Blood Rambo,
02:19 where he sort of had that tunic piece that went over top of his body.
02:22 Strip things down in his review, we're going to probably be doing something similar here
02:25 as well for First Blood Part 2 Rambo, as he sort of starts with a black jacket.
02:29 We're going to strip that off though in a second, then you can see what the figure looks
02:32 like underneath.
02:34 If you have already gotten the chance to watch my Rambo First Blood review, then looking
02:37 at the display stand will then look quite familiar to you.
02:40 In fact, it's actually the exact same display stand as the earlier looked at John Rambo,
02:44 which still has again the Rambo font featured on the front.
02:46 If you don't like this look, then there is also the swappable option as well, that takes
02:51 the idea of only having one hole and multiplies it by nine.
02:54 There's places where you can actually take the adjustable neck, and if you want to have
02:56 more in the middle, off to the side, you can accommodate that using this plate.
03:00 I still will beeline it back to having more of the defaulted stand.
03:03 Again, it is thick, but it's thick for reasons.
03:06 You can of course take the hole that's on the back and then fill it up.
03:09 It comes included, of course, the adjustable neck.
03:10 The adjustable neck adjusts in four different knuckle joints.
03:13 Any one of these, by the way, can also be rotated, but if you feel the same way as I
03:16 feel that perhaps it's maybe too long, a tad bit too long for John Rambo, he's not going
03:20 to be leaping in the air this high.
03:22 I'm sure they're probably just going to be generically using the same base, the same display
03:26 stands, and the same adjustable necks with all future exquisite Super Series figures.
03:29 That flying figures or leaping characters probably will utilize more of the knuckles.
03:34 But if you do feel like there's maybe too much length going on here, any one of these,
03:37 by the way, can be detached.
03:39 And just above each of the knuckles, there's a hinge that just, you detach the part that
03:42 you want to use, you discard the parts without dropping it, you discard the parts that you
03:46 don't want to use, and then from there, you just take yourself the adjustable waist clip
03:49 that's on the end of one of them, and then just plug it into any one of those knuckle
03:52 joints.
03:53 So from there, we went from one about this length, now to one a little more reasonably
03:57 in size.
03:58 Now for the first blood, I ended up just using one about this size, because I just don't
04:01 think it needs to be any bit longer than that.
04:04 This does open up and close.
04:05 It was a little on the tighter side, so just be careful when you're opening this up.
04:08 The first blood wasn't as tight.
04:11 I had to loosen up just a little bit on the screw here, just to ensure that when I was
04:14 pulling out this, I wasn't going to snap these off in the process.
04:17 But this just plugs in the back, like that, and now you've got yourself a much more manageable
04:21 to work with display stand with adjustable neck.
04:24 This by the way, and the reasonings why this is thick, again, if you've already seen the
04:27 review, you already know why, but this actually serves as a secondary storage place for all
04:31 the accessories that we're about to have a look at.
04:33 I noticed that this one was a little harder to open up.
04:35 If you're having something similar of an issue, you can also put the adjustable neck in and
04:39 sort of use that as a prying wedge to pull this off.
04:43 And then inside, you not only have a storage space to store all your extra accessories,
04:47 but you also get yourself an extra bag too.
04:50 So if you don't want to have them just loose around, you know, just moving around loose
04:53 inside the container, you can also just put them inside the bag.
04:56 I've already done that actually with the first blood Rambo.
04:58 I'm going to probably follow suit here as well with the first blood part too.
05:01 Keep all the extra accessories that I don't plan to use, just put them in there.
05:04 Saves me certainly having to go back to the original packaging.
05:06 I mean, that's sometimes the worst.
05:08 You put a figure on display, you decide down the road later on that you want to change
05:11 out some of the accessories and then what do you have to do?
05:13 You always have to, I mean, if you have a storage place far away from your house, that's
05:16 even worse than you have to get into, of course, your car drive to wherever this destination
05:20 needs to be and then get yourself your extra accessories that way.
05:23 But with this, Haya Toys already thought ahead.
05:26 Everything that we're about to have a look at does fit inside here.
05:28 So you've got some additional storage above and beyond just having a display stand.
05:32 One thing I actually forgot to show you when we were looking at the display stand, as you
05:35 probably already noticed off to the side, the figure did also come in clear with an
05:38 instruction guide.
05:39 The guide is actually more just a double printed sided sheet that just happens to be folded
05:42 in the middle, which I guess would still be instruction guide.
05:45 On the outside, it does show you how to install these small little daggers.
05:48 Those can actually be holstered on either side of his belt.
05:51 On the other side, it does show you how to change the magazine, for example, and then
05:54 on the inside, it shows you how to remove the rocket from the launcher and swing back
05:57 the stock on the shotgun.
05:59 Again, we'll cover all of that.
06:01 Don't worry, we'll cover all of that.
06:03 The figure has pretty small accessories though.
06:06 Some of the smallest accessories in fact, happen to be first of all, his tiny little wrist
06:09 watch.
06:10 This wrist watch, which also I believe serves as his compass, you can see is a very small
06:14 little detailed item.
06:15 Something that if you aren't careful, especially when you are changing out the hands, this
06:18 has already happened for me once and luckily it fell still on the table, I was able to
06:21 retrieve it.
06:22 But when you are removing the hands, you want to make sure that the watch in the process
06:26 doesn't slide off his wrist and then you end up mislocating it.
06:30 The figure also comes in clear with the little green Buddha necklace that he gets.
06:33 Now, it's quite small and again, this is something that will permanently find its way
06:37 around his neck.
06:38 I just left it off right now at least to show you guys that it is an included accessory
06:41 and as small as it is, it's still nicely detailed.
06:44 You can make it out that it's a tiny little Buddha.
06:46 Look how small that is.
06:48 The figure also comes in clear with those daggers that we've already had a look at.
06:51 These tiny little throwing knives, I guess he actually uses them more for melee weapons,
06:56 are very small.
06:57 On the back of the figure's body, I'm going to just lift this up so you guys can see,
07:01 there is storage space.
07:02 He actually has, if you look at the back of the belt here, see how the belt is kind of
07:07 fabric and then right in the middle, there's a seam line here.
07:09 You can take those little daggers and they slide holstered on the side here.
07:13 The only thing about it though is that I've noticed this, especially myself, that when
07:17 I'm rotating the figure's waist, for example, sometimes it clips these and it pulls them
07:21 off.
07:22 So while I like the idea, of course, that they include them, I probably will end up
07:25 leaving them off just because again, like the risk of turning a figure like this, if
07:29 it happens to snag the handle and you don't realize it, you could pop those knives off
07:33 the process and just end up losing them.
07:34 Definitely don't want to have that happen.
07:36 So like the compass watch, the Buddha necklace, and of course then the tiny little daggers,
07:41 you want to just make sure don't lose those, whatever you do.
07:44 Like I said, the figure does come included with, well, I mean, what should we look at
07:47 first?
07:48 Some swappable hands, probably the less interesting thing, but still pretty cool.
07:51 The fact that they include as many hands as they do.
07:53 He has several different gripping hands of various grips.
07:56 The figure also has as well a hand with a dedicated trigger finger.
07:59 He actually has a couple of those as well, of different grips.
08:02 So you can see as well, like one is actually best suited for holding, for example, a rocket
08:06 launcher.
08:07 One's a little bit wider, for example, for holding the shotgun.
08:10 He comes with a couple of again, wider gripped hands.
08:12 This one actually is best for holding, as you can probably already tell, for pulling
08:15 back the drawstring from the bow.
08:18 And we're going to talk more about that also in a moment.
08:19 It comes with a relaxed hand.
08:21 He comes right now with a closed fist.
08:23 I mean, I just happen to have another closed fist over here as well.
08:25 He also has a gripping hand.
08:26 I popped those off from the forearms, but he comes with a couple of other mirror flips
08:29 of those all coming included with them.
08:31 Like there's a, how many, how many total of the hands there are?
08:33 There's like nine plus the two.
08:35 So I guess that's what, total of 11.
08:36 Boy, that's simple math.
08:38 So let's look at, he comes with the bow and arrow.
08:40 I mean, we've already just finished talking about the fact that he does have the option
08:43 to hold back the, the cording here from the, from the arrow.
08:46 The arrow, actually the bow, the bow has a real working thread to it and you can see
08:50 there's a little bit of stretchiness to it as well.
08:52 You can take yourself, if for example, you know, you want to see it.
08:55 Okay.
08:56 Take the figure here.
08:57 One of the things I certainly did want to talk about above the, the idea of swapping
09:00 out the hands and losing the watch in the process.
09:02 You got to really be careful too.
09:03 I noticed with these hands, unlike the first Blood Rambo, were really stubborn to remove
09:07 off the pegs.
09:08 A couple of times, in fact, I actually popped the peg off and had to then put it back into
09:12 the form, wiggle it again carefully to pop it off again.
09:15 And again, we'll do the exact same thing on this side.
09:17 I do kind of wish in a way that Haya could have included secondary pegs.
09:21 If you happen to, I don't want to dare say break it, but if you happen to lose them,
09:25 you've got extra pegs to work with.
09:26 Cause I mean, they're, they're very unique to these figures.
09:28 They're very small.
09:29 You'd like to think that maybe you could get yourself some extra hands to maybe work with,
09:32 but let's go back to pulling, which was the hand that we wanted to use for the reaching
09:37 off to the side and grabbing it here.
09:38 Was it this one?
09:39 It wasn't that one.
09:40 There it is.
09:41 It was right over there.
09:42 It's right in front of me.
09:43 I couldn't even see it.
09:44 We're going to plug this one in place.
09:45 And again, when you're doing this, as we talked about in the first Blood Rambo, you have to
09:49 kind of wiggle it back onto the provided post because being on a hinge joint, it's really
09:54 hard that a lot of times this swivels back and forth for you.
09:57 Sometimes you can actually put it on a side like this to kind of stabilize it, kind of
10:01 hold it against the forearm.
10:03 But even then you can see, like, I don't know what it is about these ones specifically that
10:07 these gave me a harder time to change out the hands.
10:09 There's one and then we'll do the exact same thing.
10:12 Although this time around, we're going to need a hand to hold the bow.
10:14 We're just going to plug this one also over on this side here as well.
10:18 Other than a little bit of stubbornness from those hinge joints, the hands generally for
10:21 the most part are pretty easy to change.
10:22 It's just, again, you got to be a little bit more patient with it.
10:25 Take yourself the bow.
10:26 I don't even know why I had to put the figure back down here.
10:28 Take yourself the bow and the bow will just fit in between his hands.
10:31 The hands, by the way, are fairly soft and plastic.
10:33 Although sometimes you've got the thumb kind of in the way of things, but you just take
10:36 the bow, fit it inside his hand, get the blasted thumb out of the way.
10:40 There we go.
10:41 Get it once again in his hand.
10:42 Let's try that one more time.
10:45 And then once it's in his hand, of course you want to angle it outward here.
10:48 There we go.
10:49 And then you're going to take this hand and you're going to draw back the cord.
10:55 I'm hoping I'm getting this all on camera here.
10:57 Draw back the cord.
10:58 You want to fit it around his thumb.
11:00 This is so much easier when I first started the review doing this on the turntable.
11:04 Get that in his hand like that.
11:06 And then once you've got that all in place, then you're going to take yourself the arrow.
11:11 And he does, by the way, as I'm holding him right now with the bow in his hand, he actually
11:16 comes with several different arrows.
11:18 The arrows themselves, when you look at them, actually have different types of tips.
11:22 One to be looking like an exploding arrow.
11:23 One is just a regular arrow tip.
11:25 He actually has a total of six different arrows.
11:28 And even to say six different arrows, you can see that they are very similar.
11:31 Some of them have similar tips.
11:33 You basically get like three and three.
11:36 So you get three with exploding ends.
11:38 You can see painted nicely there in gold.
11:40 And then you have the regular tipped arrows.
11:43 By the way, he also has, I keep sidetracking the idea of getting this actually on his bow,
11:47 but he actually has also as well a quiver.
11:49 The quiver can store all of the provided arrows.
11:53 I did notice though that I found I actually had to take one of the arrows and kind of
11:56 guide it all the way down there.
11:58 This was actually quite flat, taking this first out of the packaging.
12:01 Just take kind of one arrow and dowel your way until it gets all the way down to the
12:04 bottom.
12:05 And now he's got a place to store all the extra arrows.
12:06 So let's draw one of them because we're only really going to need one.
12:10 And then you're going to take yourself the arrow.
12:13 Once again, we'll get this back in his hand here.
12:15 Draw back the cord, get it fitted around his fingers.
12:20 And then you're going to basically take the arrow and you're just going to fit this around
12:24 his hand.
12:25 Now, kind of like that.
12:27 I had it so much better at the beginning of this video, but basically he has the means,
12:31 although not successfully shown here in the review, he does have at least the means to
12:34 hold the bow and the arrow.
12:36 And of course, this whole time talking about, you can also take yourself the head, which
12:39 is going to pop it off the provided ball peg.
12:42 And then we're just going to take the quiver here and fit it over top.
12:45 So it fits around the back of his body.
12:47 If this is a look, by the way, that you want to go with Rambo, I like the idea that first
12:51 of all, like the first blood that we already had a look at, there's really two ways of
12:54 displaying the figure.
12:55 If you'd rather have them be more like an archer, then of course you can have them displayed
12:58 with the bow and the arrows.
12:59 If you prefer though firepower, you can also, of course, as well, take the jacket off underneath.
13:04 He also has himself a tank top.
13:05 You can also take that of course off also as well.
13:08 And you can display the figure exactly the way that you want.
13:10 Let's right now though, take this back off and we'll just remove the quiver.
13:16 I did also want to show you guys, obviously the firepower.
13:18 I prefer really Rambo instead of actually shooting bows, shooting arrows from bows,
13:23 rather instead actually blowing away bad guys.
13:25 And it's horrible.
13:26 He comes with actually three different weapons that he can wield outside of, of course, the
13:29 standard hunting knife that he also has as well.
13:32 The original hunting knife from first blood would have also had the green handle.
13:35 He's now reverted to everything being in black with a nice little silver edge down below
13:38 there.
13:40 There is also, by the way, a sheath, just in case you are curious.
13:43 If you were to remove the jacket, you'll see off to the side here, there's a little sheet
13:46 to store the knife if you want to display the figure there with it there.
13:50 But as for the actual guns, just put this down here for a second.
13:53 First the figure actually, we'll look at the shotgun first.
13:55 The first figure has is a Remington, I think it's an 870.
13:59 It does have a swing out stock.
14:00 So that's one good thing.
14:01 Like in the movie, it does have that.
14:03 It's nicely detailed.
14:04 It even actually has the section on the front that you can shift it down here.
14:07 So it's a really nicely detailed gun.
14:10 I don't know if I probably would end up displaying him with it, but the idea that he actually
14:13 does have it as a nice touch.
14:14 Some people actually might actually prefer to have them rather displayed with this.
14:18 Now this I think is the AK-47.
14:21 I think it has a longer name.
14:22 In fact, it's probably like a, I think it's like a Polytech Legend AK-47.
14:27 But again, like it has a little removable magazine.
14:30 This is a little tighter to actually remove.
14:32 Once again, though, it doesn't really show any indication that there's a bullet on the
14:35 end of the casing.
14:36 But again, you just take yourself a little magazine, pops back in place.
14:39 Probably would either end up displaying Rambo, I feel with this, or I might display him with
14:44 a rocket launcher.
14:45 The rocket launcher itself, first of all, I do like the idea that they actually have
14:49 it as a removable rocket on the end of it.
14:51 I think this is an RPG-7, but it does have a removable rocket.
14:55 The only thing I was really worried about though, is with the rocket itself.
14:58 Is when you pull this out, it was very stubborn the first time I did this.
15:01 It almost in a way that it got about halfway and then I thought, there's no way I'm going
15:05 to be able to remove this.
15:06 But sure enough, the rocket finally freed itself and it can be detached from the launcher
15:10 itself.
15:11 And of course, with the provided hands that he has included, any one of these accessories
15:14 can be displayed with John Rambo.
15:17 Then finally, finally, the figure also comes in clear with three swappable heads.
15:20 The first Rambo that we had a look at, in fact, did also come in clear with three different
15:23 head sculpts.
15:24 These by the way, do feature John Rambo slightly leaner in the face.
15:29 Also sporting as well, the black headband instead of the brown.
15:31 And he also has much longer hair.
15:33 You probably already noticed as well, that he also has himself slightly a darker tan.
15:37 If you wanted to, I mean, obviously if you did take yourself the original John Rambo
15:41 from First Blood, there's really no way, I mean, I guess you could, you could swap out
15:45 the heads.
15:46 They are seeming to use universal ball pegs, but obviously this one just would sport longer
15:50 hair.
15:51 The tan would also look a little jarring, obviously, to the more lighter color skin
15:54 tone that he has in First Blood.
15:57 Head sculpt wise though, either I would end up sticking with the defaulted head for this
16:01 guy or I might end up displaying him with this head sculpt.
16:05 In all the cases though, he has really nicely sculpted long hair.
16:08 He's a little bit more defined in the face, a little bit thinner in the face than the
16:11 First Blood release.
16:14 Very very fantastic sculpting on Haya's part.
16:17 I mean the fact that this is, first of all, that we're talking about a figure that's 1/12
16:20 the size and he's like, you know, this size of figure, like 1/12 collective figures, if
16:26 we are quite familiar with like the stuff that Mezco has been doing, I think it's very
16:29 much on par.
16:30 Like Haya's been knocking it out of the park.
16:31 I was really impressed with First Blood, equally quite impressed with First Blood Part 2.
16:36 Now of course with the jacket, the jacket is something that can be removable.
16:40 It's just a case, obviously, just bringing his arms back.
16:43 You don't necessarily, I mean it really does, I guess it does make things a little bit easier
16:47 to first remove the hands.
16:48 I was going to say you can kind of fit them around the hands, but it's more of a struggle.
16:52 The honest thing, it's easier, a lot easier just to remove the hands first.
16:54 But again, the hardest thing is just removing them from the pegs.
16:58 Pop those off the provided pegs, make sure I don't lose the hands in the process.
17:01 I'm going to again pop this one also off as well.
17:03 And I guess just before we take the jacket off, I did want to show you guys for something
17:06 as small as this, they've really done a nice job of tailoring the jacket.
17:10 The jacket, you know, admittingly you see a little more of the seam lines on the inside
17:14 of it, but I mean from the outside, he's got little buttons, got little pockets there off
17:17 to the side, little larger pockets down below here.
17:19 They aren't actually functioning pockets.
17:21 It doesn't look like you'd be able to store anything inside of it.
17:24 But the fact that, I mean, it's a nice looking jacket for the size of the figure.
17:27 Okay, so let's bring the arms back here, kind of what we were starting things with, and
17:31 we'll just kind of slide the sleeves down.
17:34 This might very well be the first and only time I'm doing this.
17:37 Like the case when we looked at the first Blood Rambo, I'm kind of more ideally interested
17:40 in Rambo either being wearing the tank top or just actually honestly just removing the
17:44 tank top also as well.
17:45 And this, this, like the jacket, is actually using a real material.
17:48 The thing I was also really worried about, it doesn't look like it's stained at all his
17:52 body.
17:53 Now whereas the first Rambo, I'm just going to bring back in the one that we've already
17:56 had a look at, did also have again a fabric tank top.
17:59 The tank top concealed more of his musculature where you get kind of more of the chance to
18:03 see really what he looks like now.
18:04 I mean, obviously I can just slide this off to the side so you guys can see.
18:07 This by the way, again, it seems like a softer plastic that they're using for his body.
18:11 There's a much more darker tanning here, definitely a more defined looking body with the way they've
18:15 actually painted this.
18:16 Nice looking body for Rambo.
18:17 Of course, his lower half, we've already looked at the fact he does have the little sheath
18:20 off to the side.
18:22 He's got the pants that have the pockets onto the side and large little military boots,
18:25 which are in fact, when you're looking at them, seem to be almost very similar to the
18:29 boots that he actually had from First Blood.
18:31 Just bringing up the pant leg here.
18:33 He would have obviously been sporting denim in the first time, but this time around he's
18:38 actually sporting kind of more like pocketed canvas pants.
18:42 Really nice looking job.
18:43 I think like Hite Toys has just done an amazing job on this figure.
18:45 Now to change out the head, even though this whole time we've really kind of only been
18:48 using this head sculpt, if you did want to use like either this one or you wanted to
18:53 use this one, I think I'm actually kind of leaning towards this one.
18:56 Just again, in case of holding onto the torso, popping very easily off the ball peg and there's
19:00 popping the new head in place.
19:03 Something I did mention also when we looked at the First Blood, seems a little out of
19:05 place that Rambo doesn't actually have hands.
19:07 Let's just get those hands back in place.
19:09 Of course, we all have to go now go back to the idea of trying to attach these onto the
19:13 pegs.
19:14 These pegs, you know, again, like the only thing about it with the pegs being, I know
19:17 I already mentioned, swinging so loosely like this, it does make things very difficult to
19:21 get the hands back in place.
19:23 I feel like, you know, obviously to move forward and look at the articulation on the figure,
19:27 having not hands on the ends of the sockets just feels out of place.
19:30 I mean, everybody would love to have hands on the ends of their forearms.
19:32 John Rambo obviously is one of them as well.
19:35 So again, with the head sculpt, very nice job.
19:37 I mean, you've got more of a fabric material here that they've used for the tail, the part
19:41 that sticks out on the end of his headband.
19:43 But now we've got ourselves a black headband as opposed to the brown we got from First
19:46 Blood.
19:47 Very nice detail again on the body, nice tail around the pants.
19:50 Again, there's nothing really at all I would have changed the figure.
19:52 If anything, maybe just the ease in which it's changing out the hands.
19:55 But I think the problem with me is more so just the fact it's not the way that they've
19:58 used the hinge joint, but with everything being slightly smaller, it's a little harder
20:02 to use.
20:03 Like if you have larger hands, not that I have larger hands, but it just makes things
20:05 a little bit harder to start changing things out on this guy.
20:09 So for the articulation on First Blood Part 2 Rambo, his head's going to rotate the exact
20:12 same way as the First Blood.
20:14 The head is going to look down, look up, look down, also rock back and forth.
20:17 And in addition to the ball joint that he has here, he also has a ball joint at the
20:21 base of his neck.
20:22 It's just hard to see because obviously it's encased in a rubber overskin.
20:26 The head does move back and forth this way.
20:28 And really, if you are wanting to get those low looks for Rambo, having his head looking
20:31 up, I think more of the work is actually being done at the base of the neck than it is actually
20:34 in the ball joint that's attaching to the head.
20:37 Shoulders come out at 90 degrees.
20:39 Now one thing I didn't mention with the First Blood Rambo is that you can actually take
20:42 the shoulders and drop them down a little bit.
20:44 That might help to actually bring his arms a little bit further outward.
20:47 If you have the arms all the way shifted up, then bringing the arms becomes a little bit
20:51 more difficult.
20:52 As you can see, it starts to pull and almost starts to lift like some of that rubber overlay
20:56 that they've used for the torso.
20:57 The arms do rotate all the way around.
21:01 And of course, he does have still the swivel in the bicep, double hinge on the elbow, and
21:04 the hands do of course rotate all the way around.
21:06 Glad I did put the hands back there.
21:07 Obviously, it would have been difficult to show you the hand articulation without having
21:11 hands on the ends of his arms.
21:13 The upper torso is going to be on a bulge, right?
21:14 There's some waist articulation there also as well.
21:17 The legs do split out similar to First Blood Rambo.
21:19 You take the legs and move forward, you can move them back.
21:21 There's a swivel at the top of the thigh, double hinge on the knee.
21:25 And even though again, he's encased in rubber, this whole bottom boot is all a soft rubber
21:30 plastic.
21:31 It's very easy still to ankle pivot it back and forth.
21:33 You can also move it up and down as well, like a look at Rambo.
21:36 The only thing about Rambo though is, I don't know, when I'm looking at him like this, I
21:39 tend to think of him more as Rambo 3.
21:41 I probably will just end up taking off the tank top.
21:44 I don't know.
21:45 Maybe I'll just leave it on.
21:46 But I mean, obviously comparing the two figures, I really was happy with what Haya did with
21:50 the First Blood Rambo.
21:52 Equally, equally happy with what they did with Rambo First Blood Part 2.
21:55 Once again, all the accessories, I mean, even though he didn't come included with some of
21:58 the accessories that, you know, he kind of uses some somewhat similar weapons at times
22:02 in Rambo First Blood Part 2.
22:04 You can also carry over the weapons, hey, why not?
22:05 That came also packed along with Rambo First Blood.
22:08 Big fan of First Blood Rambo.
22:09 Again, big fan of what they did here with Rambo First Blood Part 2.
22:13 Very excited to see what they're going to be doing with Rambo 3.
22:16 There I go, almost saying Rambo First Blood Part 3.
22:19 But yeah, nice looking figures from the folks over at Haya Toys.
22:21 Slightly scaled up from what we're usually used to seeing here from Haya.
22:24 I mean, obviously we've looked at so many here on the channel before.
22:27 Either it was Godzilla and other monsters, or we also looked at the Exquisite Minis.
22:31 And Exquisite Minis obviously would be a lot smaller than what we're getting right here.
22:35 I think they've really have upped their game, not only on the sculpting, not only on the
22:38 way they've added additional articulation to the bodies, but the fact that they're also
22:41 using tailored fabric clothing is a nice touch as well.
22:44 Even though I haven't decided yet how I want to have Rambo displayed on my shelf.
22:48 Whether either opting for the black tank top or choosing to go shirtless instead.
22:52 I have the figure currently displayed though with rocket launcher in his hand.
22:55 Funny though that a lot of promotional artwork and even the poster for Rambo First Blood
22:59 Part 2 seems to have him almost carrying around an M60 with a rocket launcher on the end of
23:04 it.
23:05 I don't think a gun like that exists, or maybe if it does, I just don't know about it.
23:08 The figure though has at least the option of having fabric clothing, so at any given
23:11 point if you decide you want to have the figure first wear in the black jacket, you can do
23:15 that, but you can easily take the jacket off as you saw in this review.
23:17 You can also do again something similar with the black tank top.
23:20 For right now at least, the black tank top is going to stay in his torso, but I might
23:24 decide a little bit later that I think he should go shirtless instead.
23:27 One thing though, while I haven't added yet the wristwatch, that's going to come a little
23:30 bit later when I decide to settle on which hands I want to use.
23:33 The same rule also applies as the buddha necklace around his neck.
23:36 You really got to be careful that changing the heads and changing the hands, that those
23:40 two accessories don't come off in the process.
23:43 Maybe not as worried about the buddha, because that's one thing I can notice right away,
23:46 the wristwatch I would have to be extremely careful about, because if I go to change the
23:50 hand not realizing that the wristwatch is on the very end of the wrist, it could easily
23:54 be lost as something like that is so very small.
23:57 The figure once again impresses me by having three interchangeable head sculpts and like
24:01 I said a load of accessories.
24:02 I did struggle a little bit getting the bow and his arrow in his hand, even though he
24:05 does have hands to accommodate the task.
24:07 But I think ultimately though, even though he does come included with those accessories,
24:10 I think I'm opting for firepower instead when it comes to displaying this guy on the shelf.
24:14 Now this guy is slated to release the second quarter of 2024.
24:17 The price point for this guy is actually higher than First Blood Rambo that we already had
24:21 a look at.
24:22 First Bloods was sitting at around $80.
24:24 This guy is going for pre-order many of the online sites for about $104.99.
24:28 It may have something to do with the fact that they added more accessories, but I feel
24:31 like he has almost the same level of accessories as First Blood.
24:35 Maybe I'm wrong.
24:36 Big thank you though once again to the folks over at Hiya Toys that did provide this sample
24:39 of the brand new exquisite Super Series Rambo First Blood Part 2 John Rambo, the 1/12 scale
24:44 figure.
24:45 What do you guys think of him?
24:46 Let me know down below in the comments section and maybe a better question to ask you guys
24:49 not to draw the line in between the sand so to speak.
24:53 But what do you prefer though as a Rambo movie?
24:55 Do you like Rambo First Blood or do you prefer Rambo First Blood Part 2?
24:58 It's probably going to be a very similar argument to whether you like Alien or Aliens more.
25:03 What's your better Rambo movie?
25:04 Somebody's probably going to say Rambo 3.
25:06 I don't think anybody's going to say Rambo 3.
25:08 Definitely though as mentioned, speaking of Rambo 3, we are also going to be looking at
25:12 an upcoming review of the exquisite Super Series John Rambo from Rambo 3 as well.
25:16 And of course, like we did with the Rambo First Blood, I'm sure in that review I'll
25:20 also be bringing back in the First Blood and First Blood Part 2, compare them along with
25:24 the Rambo that we'll be looking at in that video.
25:25 But not to get ahead of ourselves, if you guys did enjoy this video, like I said, make
25:29 sure you hit it with a like if you're wanting to stick around for more.
25:32 Subscribing is always the best thing, turning on the bell notification even seems like an
25:37 unnecessary thing but it certainly does help to make the channel grow and also helps you
25:40 as well to know whenever new content is coming your way.
25:42 As always guys, thanks for watching.
25:44 See you guys next time.
