00:00Matt Barnes believes the Clippers need a legitimate rebrand once they move to Englewood.
00:05And what I mean by legitimate rebrand is change the name, change the logo, change anything associated with the word Clippers.
00:12You know, Barnes is a part of the accursed Clippers team that blew a 3-1 lead in 2015 against the Houston Rockets.
00:18And when he tried to explain how the Clippers choked against the Denver Nuggets, he said they just hit that second round curse again.
00:25And what he thinks they should do, specifically what he said on CBS Sports, was I think when they move to the new arena,
00:32they need to burn everything Clippers, come up with a new fresh start, a new team name, a new arena,
00:37and let all that bad history of the Clippers rest in peace.
00:41And that's something I think a lot of Clipper fans may not agree with, but I personally think the Clippers need to rebrand everything.
00:46I think at this point, the word Clipper just has so much negative connotation to it.
00:51And while I understand you want to keep that name, so that way when you do persevere, it all means something different.
00:58But at this point, it just feels like they're never going to persevere with that name.
