Doc Rivers Reportedly Offers to Help Delonte West

00:00Doc Rivers and the NBA have reached out to Delonte West after a new photo of him has

00:05surfaced online of him being homeless.

00:07The first report was by TMZ, and so that's why it's reported, but it wouldn't surprise

00:12us if that's something that actually happened because numerous times, Jameer Nelson and

00:16other NBA players have wanted to help Delonte West.

00:19And for those who don't know, Delonte West has suffered from lifelong severe bipolar

00:25depression issues, and he came from a time where NBA players didn't necessarily care

00:30about mental health.

00:31They just kind of scoffed at it and said, man up.

00:34And now all of that's changed after Kevin Love brought mental health to the forefront

00:39of the NBA.

00:40And you have players like Kevin Love, Paul George, everyone kind of speaking out in terms

00:44of what mental health really means.

00:48And there was a photo of Delonte West homeless on the streets of Dallas that seemed to have

00:53surfaced.

00:54And that was the trigger to have Doc Rivers and the NBA reach out to him.

00:57And according to TMZ, they said, multiple sources tell us that the league, MBPA, and

01:02Delonte's former coach Doc Rivers, and former St. Jude's College teammate Jameer Nelson

01:08and others have attempted to get Delonte West much needed assistance.
