00:00The LA Clippers have yet to field a fully healthy roster against Dallas Mavericks this season
00:04and unfortunately that trend will continue on Thursday evening. On Wednesday the team
00:07announced it would be without Montrez, Harrell, and Patrick Beverly for today's meeting with the Mavs
00:11which is a significant amount of production to make up for on both ends of the floor.
00:15Harrell has yet to play in a bubble game so far. He's not currently with the team,
00:19he's tending to a funny matter back home at the star reserve of the bubble on July 17th
00:23and has been dealing with the loss of his grandmother since though. There's currently
00:26no timetable for his return but coach Dr. Rivers has said that Harrell will come back to play when
00:29he's ready. As for Beverly, the scrappy guard went down in the first half of Tuesday's contest
00:34of the Phoenix Suns due to a calf injury and did not return in that game. Following the game,
00:38Rivers clarified that his injury isn't anything bad or to be really concerned with. The team is
00:43just being cautious with him as they approach the playoffs so nothing really to worry about there.
00:47To make up for those absences, look for the Clippers to give Reggie Jackson starting nod
00:51in Beverly's place and for guys like Patrick Patterson, Jermichael Green,
00:54to see that take him off the bench. Jackson has played his best basketball off the bench
00:58with Clippers this season so that is a bit of a concern with him starting and that has to do with
01:02the bubble as well. He struggled in his start against Los Angeles Lakers on opening night
01:06but has averaged 10 points and six rebounds in two games since, both of which came off the bench.
01:11Jackson also isn't up to Beverly's level on defense either which gives Clippers one less
01:14option to throw at Maverick star Luka Doncic. A 23-year-old or 21-year-old, sorry, hasn't shot
01:19well from deep in the bubble so far but is averaging 34 points, close to 14 rebounds and
01:2411 assists per game through Dallas' first three contests. Green, meanwhile, has looked terrific
01:29in all three of the Clippers' seeding games. In 23 minutes per game, he's posting averages of nine
01:33points and four rebounds on nearly 54% of the three-point range so he will impress or he should
01:38continue to impress today as he continues to play in that reserve role and maybe gets a starting
01:42nod at some point here soon. Clippers and Mavericks will face off tonight at 6 30 p.m. Eastern.
01:48That game, of course, will be on Prime Ticket and it will also be broadcast on TNT.
