00:00After testing positive for the coronavirus on July 4th, L.A. Clippers guard Landry
00:04Shaman has made his way to the NBA bubble for the first time. 23-year-old
00:08flew to Orlando on Saturday and on Sunday shared a view of his room to his
00:11Instagram story. He'll need to quarantine for a minimum of 48 hours and pass the
00:15coronavirus test before he can join the team, but it sounds like Clippers will have one of
00:19their best shooters back again very soon. Due to the timing of his arrival, it's
00:23not likely to be ready for the Clippers' scrimmage at Sacramento Kings on Monday
00:26afternoon. That said, if he is up to speed on conditioning and looks good in
00:29practice this week, there's reason to believe he'll play in L.A.'s opening night
00:33contest with the Los Angeles Lakers on July 30th. Clippers could meet him there as
00:37well. With the news of Lou Williams' extended
00:40quarantine period, L.A. will need some additional shot creation and playmaking
00:44in his absence. Reggie Jackson should see more minutes as well, but if Shaman is
00:48good to go, Clippers have another weapon available to help space the floor. On the
00:52year, Shaman is averaging 9.7 points per game and making close to 40% of his
00:57attempts in the point range, which is an efficient rate even if his accuracy has
01:01dipped a bit compared to last season. It's been an up-and-down year for Shaman,
01:04but the second-year guard has to deal with a lot of adversity along the way. He
01:07missed 17 consecutive games between November 11th and December 14th with an
01:11ankle injury. At the time of his return, the All-Star break, he made nearly 43% of
01:15his looks from three. However, from the end of that break to the suspension this
01:19season on March 11th, Shaman's rate dropped down to 28.2%, which is a pretty
01:23dramatic change. It's hardly a reason to be concerned, especially because Shaman can
01:27get hot in an instant, but it is something to keep an eye on and monitor for the
01:30season that's leading games as L.A. approaches the postseason. With Shaman
01:35and Navitza Zubats in the bubble, Clippers are close to having their full
01:38roster available once again.
