LA Clippers forward Montrezl Harrell says despite the stoppage of play, his chemistry with Lou Williams is intact.

00:00It's gonna take a lot more than a four-month suspension to play to mess up what Montrez
00:04Harrell and Lou Williams have going on for the LA Clippers.
00:07On a conference call with reporters on Wednesday, Harrell said he doesn't think he and Williams
00:10have lost their rhythm despite the stoppage play, saying, quote, that's something we built
00:15up over time.
00:16The chemistry we have with one another is something we kind of gelled and grew with
00:18over years.
00:19I really don't think that's something you can lose over a couple months' time.
00:23Especially before we actually came back out here, we were able to get to kind of solidify
00:26our own little space to get out there with one another.
00:29The guys were still testing negative about the testing process, so I think we still were
00:32able to get out there, still hoop and get out there and get active.
00:35So I don't think we had lost anything, honestly.
00:38Time will tell if Harrell is right about this, but Clippers fans should know that he is.
00:41Even as the duo took a step back in terms of efficiency this season, Williams and Harrell
00:45still combined to average over 37 points per game off the bench, which makes up a pretty
00:49significant chunk of Clippers scoring this season.
00:52Williams also averaged a career-high 5.7 assists before the NBA suspension this year,
00:56and while not all of those were sent Harrell's way, they still made for a potent combination.
01:00They're arguably the Clippers' two most important players behind Kawhi Leonard and
01:04Paul George.
01:05Patrick Beverley is up there for that discussion as well, but if Harrell and Williams don't
01:09need a reintroduction, it seems fair to assume that Elliott will hit the ground running once
01:13the season picks back up on July 30th.
01:14Otherwise, it could be a while before the teams start to resemble the one we last saw
01:18in March before the suspension play.
