00:00On March 18th, Elliclippers rookie Terrence Mann underwent surgery to repair a ligament in his right hand,
00:05a fact that many of us have probably forgotten, including myself, by now considering how much has happened in the last four months.
00:11He suffered the injury during the G-League on March 8th.
00:14At the time of surgery, there was no timetable for his return.
00:17However, on Tuesday morning, Mann spoke with reporters from The Bubble and provided an update on his recovery,
00:22saying that his hand is doing pretty well now,
00:24said it was probably a six to eight week type of deal because he had so much time to take care of it,
00:28and went the long route in doing so, says now that his hand is doing great,
00:32he's back full-time, and is in full contact as well.
00:36Obviously, this is excellent news, even if Mann, this is a whole lot of time on the floor in Orlando,
00:40he has potentially become a key rotation player for the Clippers in a matter of years,
00:43so it's best that he's able to get surgery out of the way now before it can be a more significant issue later on.
00:48The 23-year-old rookie has appeared in 35 games and made six starts for LA this season,
00:52posting averages of 1.6 points, one rebound and one assist, and 7.7 minutes per contest.
00:58He had his best game of his young career on November 16th, when he went for 13 points,
01:02six rebounds and eight assists, and a 49-point victory over the Atlanta Hawks.
01:06Mann likely won't make an impact with the Clippers beginning the postseason run in August,
01:10but he should see some time on the floor and be part of the rotation in LA's scrimmages and some seeding games as well.
01:16The Clippers' first scrimmage will just take place just over a week from now on July 22nd,
01:20and the team's first seeding game will take place on July 30th against the Los Angeles Lakers.
