Singer and actor Ricky Martin reveals his favorite go-to meal and shares the passive yoga move that he does any time he needs to de-stress.

00:06 All right, so let's talk about food for a second.
00:08 So diet's a big deal.
00:09 We talked about it a tiny bit.
00:10 Spiced mango chutney is one of your go-to meals.
00:13 So explain what you love about it.
00:15 I don't know.
00:15 I think it's a mixture of sweet and maybe salty,
00:18 but because it's mango and it has agave
00:21 and it has a little bit of ginger with a touch of lemon
00:24 and it's--
00:25 Some cardamom.
00:26 --a fusion of taste, of flavors in your mouth,
00:30 it's really good.
00:31 And it's vegetarian, obviously.

01:49 But this yoga is very passive.
01:51 It's very introspective.
01:52 And it's about oxygenating your body.
01:55 It's about breathing through your nose.
01:57 Five seconds in, five seconds out with your eyes closed,
01:59 not counting.

02:03 Go ahead and do it.
02:04 --you focus one, two, three, four, five, one, two, three,
02:06 five, five seconds in, five seconds out.
02:09 And when you get to the moment where you don't have to count,
02:12 you know and you can recognize exactly
02:14 the expansion of your lungs.
02:17 And you do that in the middle of chaos.
02:19 You can be in the train, and you can just go there.
02:21 And it'll be better before a meeting, before an interview,
02:25 before your day, before you go to sleep.
02:27 It's very simple.
02:28 Before they call you on stage, you'll be working
02:29 more than you can almost do.
02:31 It's really good.
02:32 But it's challenging.
02:34 The first time you do it to count without counting,
02:37 it doesn't make sense, right?
02:38 No, it doesn't.
02:39 Yeah, I learned it in India.
02:40 And it's a very beautiful moment of my life
02:42 where I had to spend some--
02:44 I got to spend some time in an ashram,
02:46 and they taught me this.
02:47 And it's been incredibly important for me.
02:50 That's a big move.
02:51 What made you go to an ashram?
02:52 I was working in an orphanage.
02:56 I was--

03:01 I was in an orphanage.
03:02 I have a foundation.
03:03 We fight human trafficking.
03:04 And we were fighting human trafficking in India.
03:07 And then I went--

03:10 And then I went, and I wanted to meditate.
03:13 Because everything that you read and everything
03:15 that you hear from these young victims that
03:18 are being forced into prostitution
03:19 and forced into pornography, trust me,
03:22 you need a gut some way, somehow,
03:24 to be able to go through the day.
03:26 And they taught me this kind of meditation
03:28 that has been vital for me.
03:30 It's very special.
