00:00As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu, alhamdulillahi wa kafa wa salamun ala ibadihi
00:15al-ladhi nastafa amma ba'ad, fa'udhu billahi minash shaitanir rajim, bismillahir rahmanir
00:32We have been talking about people's rights for a long time, that people should be given
00:38their rights, because if no one's right is given, then this is oppression.
00:42And Allah does not forgive oppression until people forgive their rights.
00:49We talked about the rights of many people.
00:52We talked about the rights of parents, we talked about the rights of children, of husband,
00:58wife, employers, employees.
01:04A very important people who are often ignored, and they have a very big part in our religion,
01:17they have a lot of importance, they are neighbors.
01:21The rights of neighbors are so important in the religion, that the Prophet once said,
01:29that Sayyidina Jibreel continuously told me about the rights of neighbors,
01:38to the extent that I thought that maybe they should be given a share in inheritance.
01:46That is, Jibreel A.S. told the Prophet so many times about the rights of neighbors,
01:56that the Prophet thought that it is possible that Jibreel A.S. should come closer,
02:04by taking the command from Allah, that after his death, neighbors will get a share in inheritance.
02:12This was his command on this basis, because Allah A.S. told Jibreel A.S. about the rights of neighbors.
02:24This is another thing that they did not get a share in inheritance,
02:28but they gave an idea of the importance of the rights of neighbors.
02:34But often the rights of neighbors are ignored.
02:38There are different types of neighbors.
02:42There are those neighbors whose houses are connected to our houses,
02:46who are called next door neighbors.
02:49There is only one street in front of us, right, left, behind.
02:55These people, their rights are the most important.
02:58And after that, obviously, those who are a little far,
03:02but who are called a neighborhood,
03:05they are neighbors.
03:07By adding up to about 40 houses,
03:10this whole neighborhood, these are neighbors.
03:13But their rights are the most important,
03:15who are the next door neighbors, right, left, in front, behind.
03:19If we have to prioritize among them,
03:22then the highest priority is that if they are our relatives,
03:27then that is the highest priority.
03:29Then it will be seen that they are Muslims, non-Muslims, everyone has rights.
03:38But I am just telling you in terms of priority,
03:40that first of all, of course,
03:43close relatives will have the right,
03:46if they are our neighbors, next door neighbors,
03:48if they are Muslims, non-Muslims.
03:51Allah has told us the rights of all of them.
03:55It is our responsibility to take care of all of them, right.
03:59And the biggest thing is that they should be taken care of.
04:05It should not happen that those people are worried,
04:09and we do not know about their worries.
04:11If someone lives in a place where there is poverty,
04:14it is our responsibility as neighbors,
04:17to make sure that these people eat and sleep at night.
04:22Do not go to sleep hungry.
04:24This is our responsibility.
04:26Allah has sent all of us as His Caliphs in this world,
04:32and the wealth that Allah has given us,
04:34that too as His Caliphs.
04:37It is explained in the Quran,
04:39that Allah has given us wealth,
04:43and He has made us His Caliphs.
04:46Regarding wealth,
04:48use this wealth yourself,
04:51use it on your family members,
04:53and use it on those people as well,
04:55whom Allah has not given wealth.
04:57It is a test for them as well as for us.
04:59God forbid, if our neighbor goes to sleep hungry,
05:02and we eat to our fill,
05:06it will be a great injustice to our neighbors.
05:10Make sure that we are aware of their financial situation.
05:16There are some areas where we know that
05:19everyone is financially stable.
05:21This is not an issue there.
05:23I am talking about those people,
05:25those places,
05:26where there are situations where it is possible
05:31that our neighbors did not get to eat at night.
05:35If we consider our next door neighbors to be like this,
05:39then we should keep an eye on them.
05:41We should keep an eye on at least 40 houses in our neighborhood,
05:44to see if there are any houses
05:46where people do not get to eat.
05:48Right?
05:49In today's financial situation,
05:53especially if I talk about the Prophet of Pakistan,
05:55there are some people who are well-off.
05:58We do not realize how worried they are about their financial situation,
06:02because there is a lot of inflation.
06:04Of course.
06:05Right?
06:06People do not have a lot of resources.
06:08So make sure, please,
06:10that people in your neighborhood do not sleep hungry.
06:13Make sure that at least 40 houses,
06:16which are our neighbors,
06:18do not sleep hungry.
06:19The Prophet of Pakistan, peace and blessings be upon him,
06:21said in a hadith in Mubarak,
06:23which is a narration of a true Muslim.
06:25At that time, a lot of people used to eat simply.
06:28So he said,
06:29when you make soup,
06:31then add more water to it,
06:34so that you can share it with your neighbors.
06:38Now this is the compassion,
06:42mercy,
06:43empathy of the Prophet of Allah,
06:45his care for people.
06:47He said,
06:48you are making food,
06:49you are making soup,
06:51so add a little more water to it,
06:53so that it becomes a little more,
06:55and you can share it with your neighbors.
06:57But this shows the compassion of the Prophet of Allah,
07:01his mercy towards his neighbors.
07:05In a hadith in Mubarak,
07:07the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him,
07:09said,
07:10There is no believer,
07:11who does not feed his neighbor.
07:13Why?
07:14He is not a believer,
07:15he is not a believer,
07:16who eats to his heart's content,
07:19and his neighbor sleeps hungry.
07:23What kind of faith is this?
07:25What kind of Muslim is this?
07:27Right?
07:28The second thing is,
07:30that they should not be hurt in any way.
07:33In any way.
07:35Once the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him,
07:37said,
07:38By Allah, he is not a believer.
07:41By Allah, he is not a believer.
07:43By Allah, he is not a believer.
07:45By Allah, he is not a believer.
07:47After taking the oath three times,
07:49he emphasized so much,
07:51he emphasized so much.
07:53The companions asked,
07:55O Prophet of Allah,
07:56this is a very dangerous warning.
07:58About whom are you telling us, O Prophet of Allah?
08:00The Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him,
08:02said,
08:03He is the one who does not feed his neighbor.
08:07The person who is not protected by the pain of his neighbor.
08:16He is not a believer.
08:18After taking the oath three times, he said,
08:20We can hurt our neighbor in many ways.
08:24For example, if someone lives in a flat or apartment building, there is a corridor, a
08:33corridor-shaped corridor, many houses' doors open in that same corridor.
08:40Many times, our children go and make noise in the corridor, running from here to there,
08:48playing football, playing something else, making noise.
08:52It is possible that someone in our neighborhood is sick and wants to rest.
08:57Someone is sleeping anyway, if it is time for rest, in the afternoon or night.
09:02It is possible that someone is studying and we are interfering in their studies.
09:08It is possible that someone is sick, right?
09:11He is not liking the noise, etc. etc.
09:15Because the sounds of the corridor go to all the houses.
09:18So, make sure that you make your children understand.
09:21Make them understand with love.
09:22Teach them the rights of their neighbors.
09:24Say, look children, they are our neighbors.
09:28We should not disturb them.
09:30Sometimes, people turn on the music in a very loud voice.
09:34So, it is a matter of disturbing people's peace.
09:38It is a matter of disturbing them.
09:41So, please take care.
09:43There can be many other things.
09:46In Pakistan, I have also seen that the roads are blocked.
09:50For example, someone has passed away.
09:52Someone has passed away in someone's house.
09:54People come for a funeral.
09:56People come for a funeral.
09:58So, because there is no place to sit in the house,
10:01they set up tents.
10:03Now, for example, a person is going in an emergency, right?
10:07He has a medical emergency.
10:09He has to go to the hospital.
10:10He sits the patient in his car and says,
10:13this is a shortcut.
10:14The hospital is close from here.
10:17He is going in his emergency.
10:20He immediately turns in the lane.
10:22And the road is blocked there.
10:24Now, the poor person, his father has had a heart attack.
10:27He has to reach there in a hurry by sitting in the car.
10:29The way to get out of there is difficult to reverse.
10:32Then, he had come with the same thought
10:36that there is a shortcut from here.
10:37It is possible that he may take all this back.
10:40It may take as long as that.
10:42And, God forbid, his father dies in that heart attack
10:46because he could not reach the hospital on time.
10:48What is the responsibility?
10:50My father passed away.
10:51I am reducing my personal matter.
10:53But, I am just telling for the purpose of encouragement.
10:55My father passed away many years ago.
10:58So, our house in Pakistan,
11:02there was no place for so many people to sit in the house.
11:05So many people came.
11:07So, we had to set up chairs outside
11:09because people had gathered for the funeral.
11:11We made sure that we did not set up a tent
11:14and block the lane.
11:17We placed chairs on both sides of the lane.
11:24We had to sit there temporarily
11:27because people were waiting for the funeral
11:29and had already come.
11:31But, we did not block the road.
11:33We did not set up a tent
11:34that if a car is coming,
11:35the car should pass.
11:36We should think about these things.
11:39People do this at weddings.
11:41People do this at funerals.
11:43This is not appropriate at all.
11:45Prophet Muhammad PBUH is saying that
11:48if there is something on the road that hurts
11:51and if someone picks it up and puts it aside,
11:53then Allah forgives his sins.
11:56To remove something that hurts
11:58and to put it aside
12:00as opposed to
12:01that we hurt people on the road.
12:05Please, these are the rights of our neighbors
12:08that we should not block the lane.
12:12These are our rights on them.
12:17This is also their right.
12:19It is possible that our neighbors do not know all these things
12:22and they do such a thing
12:24that somehow hurts us.
12:27There are some things
12:29that may not be tolerated.
12:32For example,
12:34if it is about me,
12:36if loud music is playing somewhere,
12:37outside, in malls,
12:39or in a restaurant,
12:41loud music starts to hurt my head.
12:43I cannot bear it.
12:44So, if there is a restaurant,
12:46I go there and politely
12:48and humbly
12:50ask them to turn it off
12:54or turn it down
12:56so that the sound becomes soft.
12:58Because I have a headache.
12:59I cannot bear it.
13:00This is a personal requirement of my existence.
13:06Similarly,
13:07if someone is playing loud music in my neighborhood,
13:09I will politely and humbly
13:11ask them to turn it down
13:13so that the sound becomes soft.
13:15I am trying to study,
13:17I am sick,
13:18I am trying to sleep,
13:19I am trying to relax.
13:20So, these things cannot be tolerated.
13:21This is a different matter.
13:22But there are some things
13:23that can be tolerated.
13:25For example,
13:26the way they talk is not polite.
13:30Whenever I talk to them,
13:32they speak ill of me,
13:34they speak ill of me.
13:36In such a situation,
13:38this is a general principle,
13:40but especially
13:42with the neighbors,
13:44they should be patient.
13:46They should be patient.
13:47If they speak ill of me,
13:49I should also speak ill of them.
13:51Forgive them.
13:52Let them go.
13:53For the sake of Allah.
13:54There is a blessed hadith.
13:56The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
13:58said that
14:00Allah the Almighty
14:02likes some people.
14:04He likes three people.
14:06One of them is
14:08the one who has a bad neighbor
14:10who hurts him,
14:12but he tolerates his pain.
14:18Allah likes this.
14:20I mentioned a small part of a long hadith.
14:22I explained its meaning.
14:24If a neighbor is hurting
14:26and this person is tolerating,
14:28Allah likes this person
14:30because he cares for his neighbor.
14:32May Allah make all of us
14:34good to our neighbors.
14:38This is a big part of our religion.
14:40It is not a small part.
14:42It is a big part.
14:44We should treat our neighbors well
14:46and not hurt them.
14:48May Allah enable us to understand the whole religion.
14:50We will take a short break
14:52and will be back with your questions.
14:54You can email your questions
14:56at dinefitrat at arydigital.tv
14:58We will take a short break.
15:00Stay tuned.
15:02Peace be upon you.
15:04Welcome back.
15:06We are back with your questions.
15:08Someone has asked a question.
15:10He said not to take your name.
15:12We will not take your name.
15:14He said
15:16My husband works in a corporate job
15:18and his company provides him
15:20with laptop, work desk
15:22and chair to work from home.
15:24His husband works
15:26in a corporate job
15:28and his company provides him
15:30with laptop, work desk and chair.
15:32But the company gave him
15:34some money to buy
15:36a workstation for him.
15:38He already had a workstation
15:40but the company gave him money
15:42to buy a workstation.
15:44Since he already had a workstation,
15:46he ordered a table.
15:48The table is very big.
15:50We eat food on it.
15:52I am summarizing.
15:54It depends on
15:56the understanding
15:58of the company
16:00and the money they gave him.
16:02They gave money to
16:04a general sub-employee
16:06to buy a workstation.
16:08For example,
16:10I have 10 employees
16:12and I gave $500 to all of them
16:14to buy a workstation
16:16since they are
16:18working from home.
16:20I gave $500 to all of them
16:22to buy a workstation.
16:24As a company,
16:26I am giving a benefit.
16:30Everyone got it.
16:32I also got it.
16:34I already have a workstation.
16:36What will I do with it?
16:38But I got the money
16:40so I thought of buying a table.
16:42The table is big and small.
16:44Should I put a workstation on the table?
16:46Should I put a glass on the table?
16:48Should I put a plate on the table?
16:50There is a general
16:52understanding
16:54that a company
16:56will not refuse
16:58the money I gave you
17:00to buy a table
17:02and put a workstation
17:04on it.
17:06Now you
17:08only have to put a workstation
17:10on the table
17:12and put a plate
17:14on it.
17:16The question is
17:18I don't think
17:20there should be any issue.
17:22However,
17:24if the company has put a condition
17:26that we will not give money
17:28to those who have a workstation
17:30then you
17:32should give us a disclaimer
17:34that you don't have a workstation
17:36then only we will give you money.
17:38In that case,
17:40you should have given a disclaimer
17:42that I already have a workstation
17:44and I don't need a workstation.
17:46However,
17:48if the company has given
17:50money to all the employees
17:52to buy a workstation
17:54and I had
17:56a workstation
17:58then why should I duplicate it?
18:00So, I decided to buy a table
18:02and put a workstation on it.
18:04Generally speaking,
18:06there should not be any issue.
18:08As I said,
18:10the table has arrived
18:12on which I had to put a workstation.
18:14If you use a workstation
18:16for any other purpose
18:18like eating,
18:20keeping a glass,
18:22keeping a water bottle
18:24then it is not considered wrong.
18:26However,
18:28there is one thing
18:30which should be taken care of.
18:32That is
18:34what is the understanding of the company?
18:36Is it their understanding
18:38that if you don't have a workstation
18:40then only you will get money?
18:42If this is the case
18:44then if you show
18:46that you don't have a workstation
18:48and you have taken the money
18:50and you have taken the table of that money
18:52then you should
18:54inform the company.
18:56Right? It's never too late.
18:58If this has happened
19:00then you should go and say
19:02that by the way, you gave me money for a workstation
19:04but I had a workstation
19:06and I didn't
19:08inform you about it
19:10and instead I took the table
19:12then it is possible that the company
19:14will say that it's fine.
19:16But if the company says
19:18that it was only for the workstation
19:20and you took the table and you did wrong
19:22then we should return the money to the company.
19:24Right?
19:26Another question
19:28was asked
19:30online
19:32on this email
19:34that the Muslim
19:36whose belief is not right
19:38I have typed it in Roman
19:40it's a little difficult to read it in Roman
19:42Generally, if
19:44in English
19:46a question is asked
19:48or if it is asked in Urdu font
19:50then it is easy
19:52in Roman it is a little difficult
19:54to read.
19:56But that's fine, you can do it
19:58if you don't know how to type in Urdu font
20:00or if someone doesn't know English
20:02then that's fine, you can type in Roman
20:04that's okay.
20:06If this Muslim's belief is not right
20:08then how can we pray for him?
20:10Please guide us.
20:12Look,
20:14the first thing is that
20:16belief is a very
20:18sensitive point
20:20that we can't
20:22assume
20:24that this person's belief is right or wrong.
20:26This is a very big problem
20:28of our society
20:30that we assume that
20:32because this person's
20:34background is with these people
20:36then all these people
20:38their belief is wrong.
20:40This is not right at all.
20:42Right?
20:44In our society
20:46unfortunately
20:48I think that
20:50there are groupings.
20:52Allah has said in Quran
20:54that
20:58that all of you
21:00together
21:02hold on to Allah's rope
21:04tightly and don't get divided.
21:06Don't make groupings.
21:08This is Allah's command in Quran.
21:10Right? And we are
21:12violating that command
21:14that we have made groupings.
21:16This is very unfortunate.
21:18This is wrong.
21:20We should be one again.
21:22We should tolerate our differences
21:24which are acceptable differences
21:26and for that we need knowledge.
21:28We need depth in knowledge.
21:30A lot of differences
21:32differences of opinion
21:34are acceptable.
21:36Just because of our lack of knowledge
21:38we have made them big.
21:40There are some that are not acceptable
21:42but on that
21:44we can have a dialogue
21:46with a culture.
21:48We should do this.
21:50Right?
21:52So, these groupings
21:54we can never generalize
21:56that this group is
21:58wrong. This is not possible.
22:00Right? If in a group
22:02there are 1 million people
22:04then are all 1 million people
22:06wrong?
22:08So, please don't assume.
22:10Don't generalize. Right?
22:12If we want to know
22:14about someone's belief
22:16then either we should talk to them
22:18or there should be some proof.
22:20For example, if someone is
22:22going to the grave and prostrating
22:24then we know that his belief is wrong.
22:26There is no permission to prostrate
22:28to a non-believer. Right?
22:30So, if you see someone
22:32prostrating at the grave
22:34then we know that this is proof
22:36that his belief is wrong.
22:38But otherwise, what other proof
22:40can there be that his belief is wrong?
22:42When you don't have
22:44clarity in it.
22:46So, please don't assume.
22:48Every Muslim has the benefit of doubt.
22:50You see that he prays
22:52in our way.
22:54He prays five times a day.
22:56Right?
22:58His way
23:00can have differences.
23:02There are differences of opinion.
23:04Some people do Rafal Yadain.
23:06Some say Ameen higher.
23:08Some say Ameen lower.
23:10These are all acceptable things.
23:12These are differences of opinion
23:14between jurists. There is no problem.
23:16Right? That is why I am saying
23:18that knowledge is very important.
23:20This is not a matter of belief.
23:22This is a matter of faith.
23:24There is no difference of opinion
23:26between jurists.
23:28But as long as he prays
23:30in the way of Qibla,
23:32he prays five times a day,
23:34you don't see him doing any shirk.
23:36Then why should we believe
23:38that his belief is wrong? Right?
23:40So, the first thing
23:42I want to say is that
23:44please we cannot assume
23:46that this person
23:48has a wrong belief.
23:50If we get a proof that his belief is wrong,
23:52then we will pray
23:54that O Allah, correct his belief
23:56so that he gets guidance.
23:58O Allah, I am also in need of guidance.
24:00O Allah, he is also in need of guidance.
24:02Give guidance to all of us.
24:04Do we pray for guidance every day
24:06or not?
24:08O Allah,
24:10give us the guidance of the straight path.
24:12We are also in need.
24:14Pray for him.
24:16If he is a Muslim,
24:18pray for him.
24:20If he is worried,
24:22pray for him.
24:24Pray for any person.
24:26O Allah, he is sick.
24:28Give him good health.
24:30I have a respected
24:32teacher.
24:34His father is a great scholar
24:36of our subcontinent.
24:38He tells about his father.
24:40It is an incident before
24:42independence.
24:44India and Pakistan were one.
24:46Whenever he saw
24:48an ambulance, he would
24:50raise his hand and say,
24:52O Allah, give him good health.
24:54If he is a Hindu,
24:56a Muslim, a Sikh, a Christian,
24:58whoever,
25:00he is a human,
25:02he would pray for him.
25:04So,
25:06we should pray for everyone.
25:08Pray for guidance.
25:10If you have a proof
25:12that his belief is wrong,
25:14then don't hate him.
25:16What is the use of hatred?
25:18Hatred increases distance.
25:20People get closer with love.
25:22If I understand that his belief is wrong,
25:24and I have a proof,
25:26then I should be worried about
25:28correcting his belief.
25:30How will his belief be corrected
25:32if I hate him?
25:34So, love him, bring him closer,
25:36explain to him lovingly, pray for him,
25:38pray for yourself.
25:40May Allah put love in our hearts for each other.
25:42InshaAllah,
