00:03Tributes have been paid to a Derbyshire master armourer and rock musician who has sadly died.
00:09Dave Hewitt founded the White Rose Armoury around 34 years ago
00:13and worked at the Clock Tower in Hollingwood up to June last year.
00:17He played bass in numerous bands including Traitor's Gate, Witchfind and Stormwatch.
00:22His son Ben commented on social media,
00:25He was my absolute hero. He had so much time for all of us and inspired so many people
00:30both through his amazing skill of his work and his music. He was loved so much.
00:36Dave, who lived in Newbold in Chesterfield, was diagnosed with Parkinson's four years ago.
00:41He was admitted to Chesterfield Royal Hospital on May 2nd with pneumonia and suffered respiratory arrest.
00:47From his hospital bed and with his wife Beck cuddling him,
00:51Dave watched the live stream of his son's band Nothing's Forgotten play a gig in aid of Parkinson's on Friday at Realtime Live.
00:58His last word to Beck was that he loved her immeasurably.
01:02Dave died on Monday, the day before his 68th birthday.
01:06Arrangements for his funeral have yet to be made but Beck said,
01:10It will be a massive celebration of his life and everyone who knew him is invited.

01:29is celebrating after passing her apprenticeship exams and is ready to get hands on with hooves full time.
01:35Abby, aged 28, from Portland Street in Whitwell said,
01:38I was just so focused on passing and put a lot of pressure on myself to do the best I can
01:44but then to realise I could be making history by becoming the first female farrier in the British Army was mega.
01:50I don't think it's sunk in yet. It's surreal.
01:53As part of her job, Abby, who has been riding horses since the age of five,
01:58will be using her finely tuned skills to make and apply horseshoes.
02:02Working in a hot forge that shoes 30 to 70 horses a week,
02:06the job is demanding and one that she does alongside the unit's other ceremonial duties.
