00:39 Dong told that because he came from a family of military men,

00:44 he became his dream to serve our country.

00:47 Dingdong has been a Navy Reservist for a long time.

00:51 For me, the values and principles that helped me were also reinforced

01:00 when I joined the Reserve Force.

01:03 These principles are the principles of integrity,

01:08 resilience, discipline, honor, and most importantly, loyalty.

01:16 I use all of these in my profession as an actor.

01:21 I use them in my everyday life.

01:23 That's why you're still Kapuso.

01:24 Right? The value of loyalty.

01:26 And most of all, I use it as a father, as a husband, and as a son.

01:34 Dong has played many roles on and off-cam.

01:37 And he can say that he has a great love for his job and the industry that he was inspired by.

01:44 If I were to ask you, what else does our industry need?

01:48 I believe that there are three strong pillars and elements in the industry

01:53 that if you really persevere, you will see the ideal state.

02:01 First, I really believe in the talent of Filipinos.

02:04 I believe that we Filipinos are very good when it comes to our talent.

02:08 We are really world-class.

02:10 I hope that all artists don't get tired of showing their talent.

02:19 Second, I hope that we can give more platforms to our talented talents.

02:25 And I think the third important aspect also is the part of the audience.

02:30 I hope that they really get excited because our artists are giving their talent.

02:39 A successful showbiz star and a family man.

02:42 But what is more important for Ding Dong?

02:45 For me, it is clear that everything I do revolves around the center.

02:52 And that is my family.

02:54 And in the center of my family is my faith.

02:58 I need to make sure that I have enough quality time in my family.

03:05 And then, if there is anything that I can give to my profession,

03:09 I will give it.

03:11 If I have time and I can give it for public service,

03:15 which is what I do with the Navy, I will do it.

03:17 Like many of us, Ding Dong has gone through a lot.

03:22 Despite not being respected by many,

03:24 he also experienced challenges in life that strengthened him.

03:29 Of course, in the field of our profession,

03:35 what we see is the show.

03:38 There are many behind the scenes that do not see the process of how this product or project came.

03:46 And I am saying that there are many times when we are not happy.

03:51 And maybe aside from calling these low points,

03:59 I would consider them as gaps that I want to do and the solution is not clear.
