00:00Good morning, warm and sunny.
00:03Not often we've been able to say that over recent months,
00:06but that's the forecast for most of us through this afternoon.
00:10It's a bit chilly out there first thing this morning
00:12and there are some mist and fog patches,
00:14even a little bit of rain across Shetland,
00:16but that is scooting away and skies will eventually brighten here.
00:20Some coasts may stay a little bit murky at times,
00:23but for the vast majority it's looking like a fine day out there.
00:27Come this afternoon,
00:28very small chance of seeing a shower or two over northern England
00:31and southern Scotland.
00:32But in the sunny spells, feeling warmer than yesterday.
00:35It's a bit cool first thing this morning in some rural spots,
00:38but by this afternoon, 19, 20 degrees pretty widely.
00:42A warmer day across northern Scotland and further south
00:45into the low 20s, 23, 24 possible in one or two spots.
00:49Again, a little cooler around some coasts
00:51where we'll see sea breezes developing.
00:54As we go through this evening,
00:55the fine weather continues.
00:57So if you're heading out tonight, you're in luck.
00:59The weather's set fair.
01:00It will cloud over a little bit,
01:02maybe in northwest Scotland through the early hours
01:04and always these eastern counties of England susceptible to the mist
01:07rolling in from the North Sea once more.
01:09But for most places, it'll be a fine start to the weekend.
01:13And again, temperatures dipping down into single figures,
01:16maybe in the countryside,
01:17but most towns and cities start in the weekend in double digits.
01:21On to Saturday, another fine day to come
01:23for the vast majority tomorrow.
01:25Again, some mist and low cloud early on.
01:27And through the day, it was the chance that this mist
01:30just hugs the coast of eastern England at times.
01:33And like today over northern England, southern Scotland,
01:36the chance of one or two showers breaking out
01:38could even be the odd heavy one come Saturday afternoon.
01:41But for most, tomorrow's another fine looking day,
01:44if anything, a bit brighter in Shetland.
01:46Light winds, lengthy spirals of spring sunshine.
01:49And as a result, temperatures responding more widely
01:52up into the mid-20s over the heart of England,
01:55eastern parts of Wales.
01:562425 is possible.
01:58Just maybe a little cooler on some coasts,
02:00particularly maybe that eastern side of Northern Ireland
02:02if it does stay a little misty here.
02:04And same goes with the potential for mist
02:06across parts of eastern England.
02:08Sunday, we will start to see a change.
02:10Again, some har threatening the eastern side of Scotland.
02:13But for most places, a fine, warm, sunny day.
02:17In the east, it stays that way.
02:18But further west, increasing cloud
02:20and increasing chance of seeing some showers breaking out,
02:22particularly by the afternoon and into the evening.
02:24There'll be hit and miss.
02:25Still a bit of uncertainty about the timing
02:27of those showers developing.
02:29But with more clouds in the west, it won't be as warm.
02:32Whereas parts of the east, if the cloud doesn't get in,
02:35it could be warmer still.
02:3625, maybe 26 degrees Celsius in one or two locations.
02:40So there's a bit of a question mark still
02:41about how many showers we see during the course of Sunday.
02:44For more details on that, of course,
02:46you want to stay tuned over the next couple of days.
