00:00Hello, there. Welcome to your latest Met Office weather forecast. Well, for most of us, it's
00:05going to be another fairly sunny and warm day on Sunday. But for some, we will see some
00:10torrential thunderstorms developing. But actually, first thing this morning, we will see quite
00:14a lot of low cloud and mist across the northern and eastern parts. That will burn its way
00:18back towards the North Sea, leaving largely dry and sunny conditions. But we're already
00:23starting to see some thunderstorms develop across parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland.
00:28They become a little bit more widespread across many northern and western parts of
00:31the UK as we go into the afternoon. As I mentioned, some of these will be thundery, potentially
00:36quite torrential downpours in a few spots. So we do have various yellow weather warnings
00:41in force right throughout the day and into the early hours of Monday. So do check our
00:46website for the latest warning information. And if you do have any travel plans, allow
00:50a little bit of extra time for your journeys because travelling conditions could be a little
00:54bit tricky in places. But where we do hang on to the sunshine, especially across many
00:58eastern parts of the UK, feeling very warm, highs reaching 27 degrees down towards the
01:04southeastern corner. So into the evening, we continue to see some further heavy and
01:10thundery showers, potentially merging into a longer spell of rain across parts of Scotland
01:15and Northern England for a time. But then as we head towards the small hours of Monday,
01:20many of us turn in drier, but rather cloudy, but mild temperatures not falling much lower
01:26than around 10 to 11 degrees in the north. So for most, we start Monday morning fairly
01:32dry but grey. Still the risk of some heavy showers across eastern parts of Scotland,
01:37northeastern England too. But the main area of rain will be down towards the southwestern
01:42corner. Some heavy rain developing as the day goes on across parts of Wales and southwest
01:47England, combined with a fairly brisk breeze, feeling very different compared to recent
01:51days here. Elsewhere, hanging on to some sunshine, but even here feeling a little bit cooler
01:57than recent days. I think highs maxing out around 20 or 21 degrees. But still watch out
02:02for a few heavier showers, especially across parts of Scotland. Then moving on into Tuesday
02:09and Wednesday, still going to see low pressure dominate across the country, so further spells
02:14of rain or showers. In between, we will see some sunshine and although temperatures will
02:20be trending back down to something a little bit nearer to normal for the time of year,
02:24I think in the sunshine it shouldn't feel too bad out there. But you can find out more
02:28about the weather where you are on our app or our website. And don't forget to follow
02:32us on social media. But for me, for now, take care and I'll see you again soon.
