Newcastle 1-1 Brighton: View from the pressbox as depleted Albion gain creditable point

00:04 We've just watched Brighton draw 1-1 away at Newcastle.

00:07 It was a really entertaining game, wasn't it Henry, that we thought Brighton played really well in.

00:11 It was more like themselves, the bats themselves, really kind of tenacious

00:14 and playing some of their really quick, fast-paced football

00:18 and caused Newcastle all sorts of problems and were defensively so resilient as well.

00:22 Because Newcastle obviously had plenty of chances, Brighton held strong

00:26 and they could have won it as well another day. They had a number of shots.

00:29 How would you sum that one up?

00:30 I think Brighton came into the game really well and there were a lot of chances for the Albion early on

00:35 to get themselves into the game and get themselves a goal.

00:39 I think the away supporters really did appreciate that.

00:44 They were in good spirits for this game and when Danny Wolbeck was able to nod it on

00:50 for Joel Bellman during the corner in the 18th minute,

00:53 the crowd went wild up right at the top of the away stand area in St James' Park.

00:59 It was really good to see.

01:00 It was great to see that Brighton were able to get a goal from open play.

01:03 But in terms of Newcastle's equaliser, just before the end of the first half

01:08 in the fifth minute of added time in that half, it was a well-worked goal.

01:13 A lovely goal, wasn't it?

01:14 Yes, I think they deserved it and it was great to see that they were in full spirits

01:21 and also a great atmosphere just as a neutral as well for this game.

01:25 Brighton did have a few good chances, so did Newcastle in that second half,

01:29 but they just weren't able to capitalise either of the two teams and it ended in a 1-1 draw.
