00:00Yes, good morning to all of us. I am Benison Estareja and we have an update regarding the typhoon that is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:09This is a tropical depression with a local name, Aghon.
00:14This is our latest satellite animation and as of 10 in the morning, the center of this typhoon, Aghon, was last seen.
00:21240 kilometers east of Surigao del Sur.
00:26The wind is still blowing at 45 kilometers per hour.
00:29It is close to its center and has an opening up to 55 kilometers per hour.
00:34And it moves fast, west-northwest, at a speed of 30 kilometers per hour.
00:41Based on our latest satellite animation, these white and gray clouds,
00:47these are the ones that bring the rain, here in a large part of Bicol, Visayas, and almost the entire Mindanao, the outer cloud bands.
00:55So the direct effect is mostly here in eastern Visayas and Mindanao, but some parts of the places we mentioned are also being rained on.
01:05This is the latest track of hope regarding the tropical depression, Aghon.
01:10It is expected to move towards the direction of eastern Visayas and Bicol region.
01:15It's direction is north-westward and it is expected to get stronger in the next few days.
01:21It is possible by tomorrow that it will become a tropical storm and may also have an international name.
01:28Then by Sunday to Monday, it is possible that it will get stronger as it rises here in the eastern part of Luzon.
01:36It could be a severe tropical storm.
01:39And by Monday to Tuesday, it will move away from our country and leave our area of responsibility by Tuesday as a typhoon.
01:53It is expected that by tomorrow morning, it will be near the coast of eastern Samar.
01:598 a.m. tomorrow, it will be around 65 kilometers from Silangan, Hilagang, Silangan.
02:04Or during that time, by tomorrow morning, it could landfall in the areas of northern Samar and eastern Samar,
02:11given that we still have what is called a cone of probability.
02:15It is still possible that the center of this typhoon, Aghon, will move to the left.
02:20It is expected that by Sunday morning, it will be near the coast of Daet, Camarines Norte, and Quezon Provinces,
02:28170 kilometers northeast of Daet.

06:01when the Tagayan-Isabela area is off-shore,
06:05there are still 50 to 100 mm of rain in Catanduanes and Camarines Provinces.
06:12The areas that we did not include are the regions of Caraga,
06:19Eastern portion of Davao Region, Northern Mindanao, Central and Western Visayas,
06:24several parts of Mimaropa, Plas Calabarzon, Metro Manila, Aurora.
06:28They will also experience scattered rains and thunderstorms
06:31for the next 2 to 3 days, while this storm is hitting the eastern part of our country.
06:39And a reminder to our fellow countrymen,
06:43knowing that even though we are not yet starting the rains,
06:46it is possible for our floods, landslides, and floods of rivers to occur,
06:53especially those highly susceptible to the hazards we mentioned.
06:59We still do not have a gale warning or warning for high waves as of now,
07:04but as the storm approaches and intensifies,
07:08it is still possible for us to raise the gale warning tomorrow or the day after.
07:12But for today, moderate to rough seas, or up to 3 meters of high waves,
07:17will be experienced in the areas closest to the storm.
07:21These are the northern and eastern seaboards of Eastern Visayas and eastern seaboard of Caraga.
07:29Again, this is our forecast track, this is our scenario.
07:33Here is our description, knowing that it will move closer to the eastern submarine,
07:39it will move over the weekend, and then it will recurve early next week
07:43until Parbay Tuesday comes out.
07:45Its intensification is still possible, knowing that it is still in the Philippine Sea,
07:51possibly by tomorrow as a tropical storm,
07:53then by Sunday as a severe tropical storm,
07:57and by Tuesday as a typhoon.
08:00We also emphasize that it is possible for it to landfall,
08:03and if it lands or not, it is still possible for other areas to be affected.
08:08Here in Central Visayas, Mimaropa, Calabarzon,
08:12this storm is not just one point.
08:14It has a radius of 200 kilometers,
08:18so its total area is more than 400 kilometers,
08:21which is why there are many areas in our country where it will rain.
08:25So we are not giving emphasis on its main center.
08:28It is still possible for it to change,
08:30knowing that we have what we call a forecast probability cone.
08:34It can be left-handed or right-handed in the next bulletins.
