00:00The idea of having the role model of people who live close to them, concrete, with whom they can interact,
00:12and who have actually managed to undertake successful paths within technology,
00:18as well as having a clearer idea of the numbers, they can see that this is a concrete and pervasive phenomenon.
00:25The important thing, in my opinion, also for a girl who has to make a choice about her future,
00:29is to know that she is not alone in this type of decision, and can count on a community that becomes bigger and bigger every day.
00:35It is fundamental, after the advent of AI and the AI gene, that there is an important female presence in the world of technology,
00:41precisely to avoid that there are unconscious biases within the models that we will then use,
00:47and that will most likely affect many aspects of our lives.
00:52So even more, perhaps, girls can see the impact, also on a social and cultural level,
00:58of what their contribution to this type of technology can be.
01:02To give an example of a case, if we want to say of success,
01:06in which a path, indeed, if it is also quite theoretical,
01:10has clearly managed to create a path of a career of value.
01:14My parents, in fact, unconsciously wanted me to pursue a different career.
01:22They have always been in support of me when I decided,
01:25but it was part of what was popular culture at that time,
01:30the fact that an area of mathematics would have led me only to become a teacher.
01:34But this, fortunately, is no longer the case, I would say.
