00:09 The Chinese defense minister also called for a country to break its promise

00:13 and to reach an agreement with the Chinese in the South China Sea.

00:19 A country in the South China Sea was repeatedly assigned by the Minister of National Defense of China

00:26 to the IISS Defense Summit in Singapore.

00:29 But she said that it is a joke and is made up by small stories that are affecting the stability of the region.

00:37 On behaviors of fabricating historic facts, spreading false narratives,

00:43 attempting to enforce the illegal arbitration award and confusing right with wrong,

00:50 a certain country, emboldened by outside powers,

00:54 has broken bilateral agreements and its own promises,

00:59 made premeditated provocations and created false scenarios to mislead the public.

01:06 China is being negligent in what it is doing.

01:10 China has exercised a great restraint in the face of such infringements and provocations.

01:17 But there is a limit to our restraint.

01:20 We hope this country could see where its true interests lie,

01:25 return to the right track of dialogue and consultation.

01:29 She also insisted that countries in the Asia-Pacific region can solve our problems and China is ready to help.

01:38 The country's Admiral Dong Jun has no worries.

01:41 But China and the Philippines are now hotly engaged in the territories in the West Philippine Sea.

01:47 China does not recognize the 2016 arbitral ruling that would remove a visa

01:52 and a crash line claim of China in the South China Sea.

01:56 China has harassed Philippine ships inside our Exclusive Economic Zone several times.

02:05 While the Defense Summit is underway,

02:07 the Chinese vessels are continuing to multiply in the Sabina or Escoda Shoals in the West Philippine Sea.

02:12 In the monitoring of the sea light,

02:14 there is a China Coast Guard and two Chinese Maritime Militia Vessels

02:18 that are circling the BRP Teresa Magbanwa of the Philippine Coast Guard.

02:22 In the past few days, the Chinese vessels have been getting closer.

02:26 They seem to be interested in what it's doing there and trying to intimidate it.

02:32 Sabina Shoal is really the closest shoal to Palawan.

02:36 So for China to kind of take an opportunity to try to lay ownership to it is alarming.

02:45 BRP Teresa Magbanwa was sent a PCG to investigate the alleged construction of artificial islands in the West Philippine Sea

02:54 by destroying coral reefs.

02:58 For Sea Light Director Ray Powell,

03:00 it's a good sign that the ships are destined to be there,

03:03 especially since the Chinese ships are multiplying in the Sabina Shoal.

03:06 Recently, the Philippines was investigating Sabina Shoal

03:11 and believes that it has found some coral that appears to have been dumped there

03:16 as perhaps a prelude to some early island building kind of activity.

03:21 I don't know if that's true.

03:23 But whatever it is that they're up to,

03:25 they clearly don't like the idea that Teresa Magbanwa is there watching them.
