00:00The name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, the grace of our Lord
00:20Jesus Christ, with the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
00:25Good morning everyone. Let's thank God for this beautiful day, and let's acknowledge our own
00:32weaknesses and failures, and ask pardon for that, and prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred
00:38mysteries. I confess to Almighty God, and to you my brothers and sisters that I have greatly sinned
00:54in my thoughts, and in my words, in what I have done, and in what I have failed to do,
01:00through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault. Therefore, I ask Blessed
01:06Mary, our Virgin, all the angels and saints, and you my brothers and sisters to pray for me to the
01:13Lord our God. May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting
01:20life. Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy, Lord have mercy. Let us pray. Grant, O Lord,
01:34that we may always revere and love your holy name, for you never deprive of your guidance
01:42those who sit firm on the foundation of your love. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
01:48who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever.
02:10Reading from the book of Genesis,
02:12it happened that the word of the Lord was spoken to Abraham in a vision. Have no fear, Abraham,
02:24I am your shield, your word will be very great. My Lord, Abraham replied, what do you intend to
02:35give me? I go childless. Then Abraham said, see, you have given me no descendants. Some men of my
02:47household will be my heir. And then this word of the Lord was spoken to him. He shall not be your
02:57heir. Your heir shall be of your own flesh and blood. Then taking him outside, he said,
03:09look up to heaven and count the stars if you can. Such will be your descendants, he told him.
03:19Abraham put his faith in the Lord, who counted this as making him justified.
03:28I am the Lord, he said to him, who brought you out of all of the Chaldeans to make you
03:37heir to this land. My Lord, Abraham replied, how am I to know that I shall inherit it?
03:49He said to him, get me a three-year-old hypha, a three-year-old god, a three-year-old ram,
04:02a turtle dove and a young pigeon. He brought him all these, cut the wind half and put half on one
04:12side and half facing it on the other. But the bows he did not cut in half.
04:22Birds of prey came down on the carcasses, but Abraham dropped them off.
04:31Now as the sun was setting, Abraham fell into deep sleep and terror seized him.
04:40When the sun had set and darkness had fallen, there appeared a smoking furnace and a fire brand
04:51that went between the halves. That day the Lord made a covenant with Abraham in these terms.
05:01To your descendants, I give this land, from the wadi of Egypt to the great river.
05:10The river Euphrates, the word of the Lord.
05:18Our response today, the Lord remembers his covenant forever.
05:27Give thanks to the Lord, tell his name, make known his deeds among the peoples
05:32or sing to him, sing his praise, tell all his wonderful words.
05:38The Lord remembers his covenant forever. Be proud of his holy name. Let the hearts that
05:46seek the Lord rejoice. Consider the Lord and his strength. Constantly seek his praise.
05:54The Lord remembers his covenant forever.
05:58O children of Abraham, his servant, O sons of Jacob, he chose. He, the Lord, is our God.
06:08His judgments prevail in all the earth. The Lord remembers his covenant forever.
06:15He remembers his covenant forever. His promise for a thousand generations,
06:20the covenant he made with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac.
06:29The Lord remembers his covenant forever. Hallelujah, hallelujah. Live in me and let
06:37me live in you, says the Lord. My branches beg much fruit. Hallelujah.
06:44The Lord be with you. A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew.
06:55Jesus said to his disciples, Beware of false prophets who come to you disguised as sheep,
07:03but underneath are ravenous wolves. You will be able to tell them by their foot.
07:12Can people pick grapes from thorns or figs from thistles? In the same way,
07:19a sound tree produces good fruit, but a rotten tree bad fruit. A sound tree cannot bear bad fruit,
07:29nor a rotten tree bear good fruit. Any tree that does not produce good fruit is cut down
07:37and thrown on the fire. I repeat, you will be able to tell them by their foots.
07:46The Gospel of the Lord.
07:57Blessed are you, Lord God, for creation, for through your goodness we have received
08:01the bread we offer you. Fruit of the earth and work of human hands,
08:06it will become for us the bread of life.
08:08Blessed are you, Lord God, for creation, for through your goodness we have received
08:32the wine we offer you. Fruit of the vine and work of human hands,
08:36it will become our spiritual drink.
08:40With a humble spirit, I am going to treat you. I pray that you may be accepted by your Lord,
08:43for the sake of your soul. I recite this prayer in praise of you, Lord God,
08:47and wash away my iniquity and my sins.
08:58Brethren, brothers, sons, and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God,
09:02the Almighty Father, for the praise and glory of his name,
09:08for our good and good of all his holy church.
09:12Receive, O Lord, the sacrifice of conciliation and praise, and grant that, cleansed by its action,
09:19we may make offering of a heart pleasing to you, through Christ our Lord.
09:24Lord be with you. Lift up your hearts.
09:28Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
09:32It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere,
09:37to give you thanks, Father most holy, through your beloved Son, Jesus Christ,
09:42your Word, through whom you made all things, whom you sent as our Saviour and Redeemer,
09:47incarnate by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin.
09:50Fulfilling your will and gaining for your holy people,
09:53he stretched out his hands, as he endured his passion,
09:57so as to break the bonds of death and manifest resurrection.
10:02And so, with angels and all the saints, we declare your glory, as with one voice we acclaim.
10:09Holy, holy, holy Lord God of hosts,
10:12heaven and earth are full of your glory and signing the highest.
10:16Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, for signing the highest.
10:23You are indeed holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness.
10:28Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray,
10:30by sending down your Spirit upon the plague that you fall,
10:34so that they may become for us the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
10:43At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion,
10:47he took bread and giving thanks, broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying,
10:52Take this, all of you, and eat of it, for this is my body, which will be given up for you.
11:12In a similar way, when Sapravasi entered into the chalice and once more giving thanks,
11:17he gave it to his disciples, saying,
11:19Take this, all of you, and drink from it, for this is the chalice of my blood,
11:27the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
11:30which will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins.
11:35Do this in memory of me.
11:49The mystery of faith, when we eat this bread and drink this cup,
11:53we proclaim your death, O Lord, until you come again.
11:58Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection,
12:01we offer you, Lord, the bread of life and the chalice of salvation,
12:06giving thanks that you have held us worthy to be in your presence and minister to you.
12:11Humbly we pray that partaking of the Body and Blood of Christ,
12:16we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.
12:20Remember, Lord, your Church spread throughout the world and bring her to the fullness of charity,
12:26together with Francis, our Pope, Charles, our Bishop and all the clergy.
12:31Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection
12:36and all who have died in your mercy.
12:39Welcome them into the light of your face.
12:42Have mercy on us all, we pray,
12:45that with the blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
12:47blessed Joseph, her spouse,
12:49with the blessed apostles and all the saints who have pleased you throughout the ages,
12:55we may merit to be coheirs to eternal life and may praise and glorify you
12:59through your Son, Jesus Christ.
13:06Through him and with him and in him, O God, Almighty Father,
13:09in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
13:12all glory and honour is yours forever and ever.
13:23At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching,
13:26we die to save our Father who art in heaven,
13:30hallowed be thy name,
13:32thy kingdom come,
13:33thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
13:37Give us this day our daily bread
13:39and forgive us our trespasses,
13:41as we forgive those who trespass against us,
13:44and lead us not into temptation,
13:46but deliver us from evil.
13:49Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil.
13:52Graciously grant peace in our days,
13:54that by the help of your mercy,
13:56we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress,
14:00as we avoid the bliss of hope in the coming of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
14:05Kingdom, the power and glory are yours now and forever.
14:09Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your Apostles,
14:12Peace I leave you, my peace I give you.
14:15Look not on our sins, but on the faith of your Church,
14:18and graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with your will,
14:23who live and reign forever and ever.
14:26Peace of the Lord be with you always.
14:28Let us all pray to the sign of peace.
14:39Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world.
14:42Have mercy on us.
14:44Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world.
14:46Have mercy on us.
14:48Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world.
14:51Grant us peace.
15:08Behold the Lamb of God.
15:10Behold him who takes away the sins of the world.
15:13Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb.
15:16Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof,
15:19but I say the world and my soul shall be healed.
15:22The body and blood of Christ give me security.
15:26My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most blessed sacrament.
15:31I love you above all things and I desire to receive you into my soul.
15:36Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.
15:42I embrace you as if you were already there and unite myself wholly to you.
15:47Never permit me to be separated from you.
15:50Amen.
15:52Let us pray.
15:55Renewed and nourished by the sacred body and precious blood of your son,
16:00we ask of your mercy, O Lord, that what we celebrate with constant devotion
16:07may be our sure pledge of redemption through Christ our Lord.
16:12Lord be with you.
16:14Almighty God bless you, the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.
16:18The mass is ended.
16:19Let's go and live the gospel.
16:21Thanks be to God.
16:23Have a wonderful day.
16:24God bless you.
16:30Amen.
