(Adnkronos) - E' stato presentato l'evento finale del progetto "Fast Track to the Sea" presso la sede dell'Autorità di Sistema Portuale del Mar Tirreno Centro Settentrionale, che non solo segna una svolta fondamentale per l'efficienza del porto, prevedendo la risistemazione dei binari esistenti e la costruzione di un nuovo fascio ferroviario per l'arrivo e la partenza dei treni,m a coincide anche con la recente conclusione del percorso di inclusione di Civitavecchia e dei porti del Lazio all'interno della rete TEN-T. Il progetto ha beneficiato di un contributo di 3,8 milioni di euro da parte dell'Unione Europea, erogato tramite il programma di investimento Connecting Europe Facility.

01:46This program represents the main tool for the financing of transport infrastructures,
01:51managed directly by the European Commission, through its executive agency.
01:56The inclusion of the Port of Civitavecchia in the list of Porti Core of the TNT network
02:00represents an important recognition for the port, underlining its strategic relevance in the context of European transport networks.
02:07The adoption of the TNT regulation sees Italy covering a strategic location in the Mediterranean,
02:12explained by Maria Giovanna Sgariglia, Director General of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport,
02:17intervened at the event.
02:19The Scandinavian-Mediterranean corridor represents in fact an important corridor
02:23and the inclusion of the Port of Civitavecchia will allow to attract European incentives.
02:27With the completion of the Fast Track to the Sea project,
02:30the Port of Civitavecchia not only strengthens its position as a logistical hub of primary importance,
02:35but also contributes to the European goals of sustainability and efficiency in the transport of goods.
