00:19In March, she was arrested by the International Police or Interpol, National Central Bureau,
00:23and the Timorese Police in Dili. Tevez applied for political asylum in Timor-Leste but was denied.
00:30The Philippines has no extradition treaty with Timor-Leste. The government used the United
00:34Nations Convention on Transnational Organized Crime, to which both the Philippines and Timor-Leste
00:38are signatories. The extradition process took some time. The Timorese Court of
00:43Appeals only concluded the extradition hearing on June 18.
