00:00I'm so excited to make it to the final four, going home second on season three.
00:14I never would have thought I'd be here.
00:15And to finally be sitting here doing this really doesn't feel like the book is closed
00:20yet.
00:21We did it!
00:22Woo!
00:23I'm excited.
00:24I'm very pleased with myself.
00:25You should be.
00:26I think I am the first person to get as many exterminations as I did and to make it as
00:32far as I did.
00:33And to make it to the top four.
00:34So, thank you.
00:35Thank you.
00:36We shouldn't think of the exterminations as being in the bottom.
00:39They're opportunities to showcase our strengths, and I've more than done that.
00:44But there's no point in me sitting around and stressing about it because the Boulets
00:47are going to pick.
00:48It's their show.
00:49It's their winner.
00:51From day one, I obviously came here envisioning myself in the top three very clearly, and
00:55I was confident with what I brought, but I honestly didn't know.
00:58But now that I'm here, I'm just like, I've never been more, I've never been so motivated
01:03to do drag than this moment right here.
01:06I think it's very important that I'm here, and I just hope that it just, like, gets the
01:11messages across.
01:12I think everyone in this top four deserves to win.
01:14I think every single one of us has worked so hard to get to where we are and represents
01:18a different group of people.
01:20So I don't know.
01:21I really don't know.
01:22How does it feel for y'all to, like, compete previously and then compete again and make
01:27it this far?
01:28Oh, I'm, like, over the moon right now.
01:30This is all I've ever wanted.
01:32Obviously going home second on season three, it's a real big blow to your psyche as, like,
01:36an artist.
01:37So to be able to come back and redeem myself in the way of, like, this, making it all the
01:40way to top four, like, I have, like, no words.
01:43I'm just, like, completely overfilled with excitement right now.
01:46Fuck yeah.
01:47What about you?
01:48I am at the point of just, like, overstimulated right now, actually.
01:54I don't know.
01:55It's just, like, the people that come back for, like, things like this don't ever make
01:58it this far.
01:59Y'all are something special.
02:00I'm not gonna, like, get into, like, a sob story or anything, but I went through a lot
02:05of shit in my entire life.
02:07At some point at a very young age, I decided that it was me against the world.
02:11And for a long time, I was like, I don't deserve for anything good to happen to me.
02:17And now this is happening.
02:18It's, like, so fucking weird.
02:21You deserve it.
02:22Yeah, yeah.
02:23Fuck you guys.
02:24You deserve it.
02:25No, it's okay.
02:26I'm a little sweaty, too.
02:27It's a lot to take in, and I'm, like, I can't express, like, my gratitude enough.
02:32I'm, like, screaming on the inside that I've made it this far.
02:35I honestly didn't think that I was gonna be allowed to make it this far.
02:39I've already given two chances, and I failed them both, and now I've made it this far,
02:44and I can't believe that it's actually happening.
02:48I'm so happy.
02:51You're officially the crybaby of our season.
02:53I know.
02:56I love you all.
02:57Aw.
02:58Very much.
02:59I think for anyone that's, like, second-guessing any part of any move that they make in their
03:02life, just do it.
03:06Just go with your first instinct, because there might not be another one.
03:11I don't know how they would have been able to pick three out of the four of us, but sucks
03:15to suck, because now they've got to pick one out of four.
03:18We all, like, put up such a good fight, it just wouldn't have felt right with any of
03:22us leaving.
03:23Honestly.
03:24They literally couldn't choose.
03:25It's almost too hard to compare.
03:29Drag is art.
03:30Art is subjective.
03:31We're not judging you based on, like, your drag.
03:32Oh, you know the whole line, huh?
03:34Yeah.
03:35She watches the show every goddamn day.
03:36I do watch the show.
03:37Thank you very much.
03:39I will say, though, that this is such an incredibly talented group, and everyone is
03:44so professional and so elevated.
03:48I'm confident that no matter who wins, they're gonna do a good job, and they're gonna represent
03:53the brand well.
03:54Oh, yeah.
03:55I agree.
03:56And so any one of us that wins, I'm fine with it, because it was deserved.
03:58Oh, yeah.
03:59I think I speak for all of us.
04:00I think you speak for all of us when you say that.
04:03And I did.
04:04I'm out.
04:05Okay.
04:06All right.
04:07All right.
04:08Last one, y'all.
04:09Yeah, this is it.
04:10This is it.
04:11Our finalists.
04:12Welcome to the final challenge of the Boulet Brothers' Dragula season four.
04:38You have all fought well in your battle for the crown, and you have earned the highest
04:42honor of any who have competed before you.
04:46No matter what happens next, you have made us proud, and we are thrilled to welcome you
04:50into our army of monsters.
04:53For your final challenge, you will be conceptualizing and creating three distinct looks and three
04:58distinct floor shows based on the tenets of Dragula, filth, horror, and glamour.
05:06You are to use every resource and skill available to you to create your ultimate floor show.
05:13As always, we don't just want you to construct incredible costumes.
05:16We also want you to inject each look with who you are as a drag icon.
05:22We want to see a bit of you in everything you do.
05:25That being said, you can't just win on looks alone.
05:28For your glamour floor show, you will need to design and choreograph a lip-sync performance
05:33to change the paradigm by Astra.
05:36Again, while your look is important, your ability to perform in front of a live audience
05:41may be even more important and will factor into our final decision.
05:47Outside of your three floor shows, you will also be joining us as a special guest for
05:51a live recording of our hit podcast show, the Boulet Brothers' Creatures of the Night,
05:59where you'll be interviewed for a special segment on an upcoming episode.
06:05After you complete your floor show's performance and interview, we will make our final decision
06:10and will crown one of you the winner of the Boulet Brothers' Dragula Season 4.
06:16And you will become the world's next drag super monster.
06:23We now anoint you with the blessing of filth, the freedom of drag, the power of glamour,
06:32and the terror of horror in preparing for these last looks.
06:37Go now and good fortune in your final tournament.
06:42Now, from Hollywood, California, the horror capital of the world, the Boulet Brothers'
07:02Creatures of the Night.
07:11Welcome, uglies, to a very special episode of the Boulet Brothers' Creatures of the Night.
07:16I am your ghost host, Swan Thula, and joining me as always is the mistress of the macabre,
07:21my sister in crime, Drac Morda.
07:23Drac Morda, darling, how are we tonight?
07:25I am doing fantastic and I am so excited that we are here on the set of the Boulet Brothers'
07:30Dragula Season 4 and that we are about to interview our top four competitors of the
07:35season.
07:36Do you think they're nervous?
07:37I'm sure they're nervous.
07:38They should be if they're smart.
07:40Very hard-hitting questions for them because, as we've said so many times this season, it
07:44takes way more than an ugly face and a hideous costume to win Dragula.
07:48You have to be a great performer and you also have to be able to represent the brand in
07:51interviews just like this one.
07:53Right.
07:54So I'm curious to see how they'll do.
07:55Me, too.
07:56And on that note, I'm going to welcome our co-host and the supervising producer of the
07:59Boulet Brothers' Dragula.
08:00He is our Sith Apprentice, our eyes and ears, our cohort in corruption.
08:06I'm talking about Ms. Ian DeBogler.
08:07Ian, welcome to the show.
08:08Ooh, thank you.
08:09Curious, corruptible, a lover of all boys, corpulent, sounds about right.
08:14So now everyone knows our dirty little secret that while we're talking, you're actually
08:18just sitting there on mute the whole time.
08:20It's true.
08:21Really.
08:22It's just me sitting there like this the entire time.
08:25Secrets revealed.
08:26The first of many.
08:27Well, how exciting is it that we're here on the set of the Boulet Brothers' Dragula season
08:30four?
08:31They're so spoiled.
08:32Like, this is fierce.
08:34The season four competitors have it nice and it kind of feels like a little witch school,
08:38which I live for.
08:39Oh, totally.
08:40I like to think that I'd be the class clown, but I would definitely be the class slut.
08:43But yeah, that's to be debatable.
08:45She can't resist.
08:46She can't resist.
08:49Our first guest is no stranger to all things Dragula and is a top four finalist from the
08:53Boulet Brothers' Dragula season four and has also previously competed on the Boulet Brothers'
08:57Dragula season three, as well as the Boulet Brothers' Dragula Resurrection, which she
09:02won, I might add.
09:03Please welcome Saint.
09:04Hello.
09:05So Saint, do you just like competing or what?
09:07I mean, this is like your third season.
09:08I mean, Drag just had to take 20 minutes.
09:11Like she was with us on the third season.
09:12She came back on the fourth season.
09:13How does it feel to be competing again?
09:16Oh my God.
09:17It feels like, it feels nuts.
09:19Just because like you go home early on a season, you're sitting around and you're trying to
09:22figure out like what's like your next move.
09:24I felt like defeated and stuck in a place that I was in, but only for a little bit.
09:28After I got over it, I was just like, all right, well, I still have a platform behind
09:31me.
09:32Yeah.
09:33So I just kind of kept growing and like perfecting what I did.
09:35So how does this experience on Dragula Season 4 compare to Resurrection?
09:39Resurrection, I feel like was the validation.
09:42And then like now I'm validated.
09:43I'm here.
09:44I'm 100%.
09:45I don't feel like Saint 2.0.
09:46I feel like Saint perfected.
09:48Ooh.
09:49After you won Resurrection, you felt like you were representing kind of like black,
09:52alternative, queer people.
09:53Like, can you tell us about that?
09:55So after winning Resurrection, a lot of people had seen themselves in me.
09:58So coming into the competition this time, I felt like I had a lot of pressure just because
10:03I'm like, if I'm going to be your champion, I want to be the best.
10:06You should feel proud even right now.
10:07Yeah.
10:08It really made me feel like the sky's the limit.
10:10So say I want to ask you the money question.
10:12Come on.
10:13Why should you win?
10:14The first time I had seen the call for Dragula, I was like, that's me.
10:19I've been like an outcast.
10:20I feel like I'm everything Dragula represents.
10:23I'm the freaks.
10:24I'm all of the freaks.
10:28You know, that's a badge of honor in this house.
10:29It is.
10:30I feel like I wear it proudly every single time.
10:32$100,000.
10:33That's a lot of fucking money.
10:34Oh, baby.
10:35What would you do with it?
10:36I think I would find a place to settle down and like anchor myself.
10:39Maybe get a couple of drag children for future seasons.
10:42Do you have your eye on someone that you want to get you pregnant to have these drag children
10:46or is that still?
10:47She said, get you pregnant, girl.
10:49We'll settle down drag children at home.
10:53It sounds very like, you know.
10:55Sounds hot.
10:56No.
10:57You are about to perform your grand finale floor shows.
11:00Let's talk about the looks a little bit.
11:02So let's talk about your horror look now.
11:04Like what's the general idea and what inspired it?
11:06My drag has always been a love letter to my like childhood that I didn't get to have.
11:10I didn't really get to have like a lot of like imagination.
11:13So I'm deciding to do the tooth fairy for mine.
11:16I always thought that was just so bizarre that there's this weird fairy that comes and
11:19collects teeth.
11:20I really like to craft a lot of things out of like junk.
11:24So for the wings, I just use hangers and saran wrap.
11:27I don't mean to undersell it, but like, yeah, it's mainly made out of like craft materials.
11:31Okay.
11:32The final look is glamour and it is a lip sync performance challenge and you have gotten
11:36some critiques this season about your performance.
11:40How are you feeling about it?
11:41Outside of here, things I perform are more ethereal and like more slower movement.
11:46I think I've maybe like lended myself too much to that, but you know, I'm going to turn
11:51it out because I need a crown and a hundred thousand dollars.
11:54Well, that's insane.
11:55Thank you for putting so much work into everything that you did this season.
11:58Good luck.
11:59We're very excited to see what you do in the final floor shows a little later this week.
12:02Goodbye.
12:03Bye.
12:04See you at craft services.
12:06And joining us next is the seductive Miss Sigourney Beaver.
12:10Welcome to the show.
12:12You're a high femme presenting AFAB performer.
12:15The world of competition hasn't really seen that before.
12:17And if people don't know what that means, then they should go fucking look it up.
12:19So I'm not here to educate you, but I am here to ask you, what do you think that would mean?
12:24What do you think would mean for the community if you won?
12:26It's hard to say because I'm just one person that happens to be part of a community and
12:31they did not vote for me to be the one to come and step up and be the face of it or
12:36to represent.
12:37But I think being here is going to change a lot of things outside of this and competition
12:43settings.
12:44I'm hoping that maybe it will bring attention to like a lack of bookings that these performers
12:49might experience.
12:50I'm hoping that maybe it'll change the way shows are cast.
12:53And it's interesting to look at our top four and how non-traditional all of you are.
12:57I love it.
12:58It shows that the world of drag is more than what people think it is.
13:02And it's not that it's changing, even though it is, it's always kind of been that way.
13:05Yeah, absolutely.
13:06Yeah, just something that hasn't really had like a spotlight to shine onto it.
13:10And it makes me even more proud to be part of this very, very diverse top four because
13:16I think that it very clearly showcases the type of drag that Dragula wants to show.
13:22Why do you think you, Sigourney Beaver, should win this season?
13:25I think that I should win because I bring a little bit more to the table.
13:31I bring experience.
13:32My hope would be with a win that it could really bring a lot of different types of drag
13:37together that usually don't get along.
13:40And ultimately, isn't that what we want is like more drag and like better drag?
13:44For sure.
13:45Totally.
13:46Yeah.
13:47Certainly better.
13:48So going into the finale, obviously, Sigourney, you have proved you can tackle glamour in spades.
13:52But I will say you have tripped up just a little bit on some of the filth and horror
13:55aspects.
13:56So what is your game plan for making sure that your filth and horror floor shows are
13:59on par with glamour?
14:01I'm very confident going into the other two categories that are outside of glamour because
14:06I'm still bringing a glamour aspect to it, which is something that I do with all of my
14:10drag because that's what I like to do.
14:12I'm going to do what I want to do, but I can do it for you in a way that you want that's
14:17still me.
14:18Can you tell us a little bit about your filth look and what it's inspired by?
14:20I'm really freaked out by like oils and like bubonic plague and just like weird like skin
14:25things and like pus like that.
14:27So I'll be doing a bunch of prosthetic zits and boils and we'll be popping and snacking.
14:31Ooh.
14:32I love that.
14:33That sounds interesting.
14:35And so let's talk about your horror look.
14:37What's the general idea and what inspired it?
14:40Wee!
14:41So I've always really been into like the mad scientist kind of vibe.
14:45So I've recreated an oldie but a goodie, but it's a giant like lab coat gown and it's
14:51got some beautiful vinyl gloves and just like black vinyl accessories all over and you know,
14:57it's science.
14:58So you've got to have the hair up and out of the face for safety first.
15:02Listen, we're going to let you go because you have a lot of work to do still, obviously,
15:07but we want to wish you all the luck in your floor shows and we cannot wait to see what
15:10you bring to the stage.
15:11Yay!
15:12Okay.
15:13Later taters.
15:14Up next, we're joined by a competitor who has competed on season two of the Boulay Brothers
15:18Dragula as well as the Boulay Brothers Dragula Resurrection and is back for more in season
15:24four.
15:25Please welcome Dali.
15:26Hi.
15:27So we're going to go all the way back to season two, right?
15:30Everything's going really well.
15:32In the span of like a few hours, it seemed like everything kind of went to hell and you
15:35almost sort of self exterminated, right?
15:39My head started to leave my body and my body wanted to stay, but my head was like, you
15:44got to go, girl.
15:45You got to leave.
15:46Get out before it's too late.
15:48I was holding myself very accountable for it.
15:51It haunted me for so long because I was like, this is supposed to be like the one thing
15:55that I'm doing on my own that I should be proud of.
15:57Yeah.
15:58And how long did that go on for?
15:59Like, how long did you think about that?
16:00Until resurrection.
16:01Wow.
16:02And even after resurrection, I still thought about it.
16:04Really?
16:05Uh huh.
16:06Because Saint won and I was like, oh, so that's great.
16:07Love that.
16:08I immediately ran to my room and started bawling.
16:10I was like, I did it again.
16:14And I just heard my roommates from the other room screaming.
16:16They're like, Jay, Jay, you came back.
16:17You came back.
16:18You're awake.
16:19I was like, what does it mean?
16:20That's amazing.
16:21Oh my God.
16:22I love that that happened.
16:23Like it's such a magical moment.
16:26What do you say to people who are watching the show who only see drag a certain way?
16:29This person has a mustache and they don't have a bra on.
16:32You know what I mean?
16:33Who are you?
16:34Right.
16:35Who died and made you the dictator of what art is?
16:36Yeah.
16:37Every art form is going to evolve.
16:38When they start putting limitations on things, that's not art anymore.
16:42I'm non-binary.
16:43And I tell people all the time that message me that you can just do whatever you want.
16:47Like your gender, your assigned body, like if you choose to stay with like default settings,
16:52that's all on you.
16:53But like that has nothing to do with the character you put on stage.
16:56That's something I love.
16:57You said this before that your drag character like is just completely non-sexual and you
17:02think it's like funny when people kind of sexualize that character.
17:04I think it's sexualized so often now.
17:06Well, I understood it in the past because you are a little slutty.
17:13So, here you are at the grand finale.
17:17I know.
17:18So, talking about your filth, what is your concept?
17:21Because I've heard a little bit about it.
17:22I feel like this is kind of mind-blowing.
17:24My goal with this filth is to basically make the viewer feel filthy.
17:29Not necessarily me just being gross, but like them watching it and being entertained by
17:34it makes them feel really bad.
17:36I love that.
17:37I like that too.
17:38It's going to be like a very kind of like an Emmett Kelly like raggy clown, total like
17:42just greased up pervert.
17:43Well, I don't want to push you anymore on that because I actually want to be surprised.
17:47Yeah, yeah.
17:48It's going to be a good one.
17:49I want to know about your glamour look and what you have planned, but also how you're
17:51feeling about performing.
17:52I know that I pull a lot of inspiration for my drag from like death and decay and things.
17:56So, for my glamour, I'm going very clean and I'm about celebrating life for this one.
18:01The shade of red I'm using for my entire like gown and everything is actually the same shade
18:05of red as my retroviral that I take every day for HIV, but I need people to see that
18:11I take a pill every day.
18:12It's just like a vitamin.
18:14I live a very beautiful, healthy life.
18:16So, for the people that are like, you know, scared or have like the wrong idea or think
18:19this is some kind of death sentence, I need to show them like I'm alive and I have a big
18:24ray of fucking sunshine.
18:25All right.
18:26Well, Dolly, thank you for being here and we're going to let you go because I know you
18:29have a lot of work still to do and we are really looking forward to your final floor
18:33show.
18:34Thank you so much.
18:35All right.
18:36See you soon on the stage.
18:39Please send help.
18:41All right.
18:42Our final guest today is our first competitor from South Korea.
18:45Please welcome Hoso Teretoma.
18:48Well, congratulations again on making it to the top four.
18:51Thank you.
18:52I know that you've been a fan of the show, but here you are.
18:54You've had this experience and I want to know how that's been for you.
18:57Again and again and again, it just feels like such like a full circle moment.
19:02Yeah.
19:03The first time I saw Xochitl's which floor show that I saw, I was like horrifying and
19:07I was like, I want to look like that.
19:08I want to look like my drawings.
19:10So I kind of want to shift the topic to something more serious, if you don't mind.
19:13And I kind of want to talk to you about your journey and your battle with cancer.
19:18I'm a very like immune compromised person.
19:20I've always been.
19:21And when the doctor said to my face, hey, you have cancer, a stage three going into
19:25stage four is pretty serious.
19:26You need to like treat it like right now.
19:28I was like, you know what?
19:29I'm going to do this thing.
19:30I'm going to power through this.
19:31I'm going to do whatever it takes to get better so I can do drag again.
19:34Yeah.
19:35And actually season three of Dragula got me through a lot of the chemotherapy.
19:39And now I'm here.
19:40It's such a crazy fucking thing.
19:42We're all very happy that you're here.
19:43Oh, absolutely.
19:44Yeah.
19:45Well, I try to bring things back a little bit to kind of your drag.
19:47You have made it a point to include references to your own culture multiple times this season.
19:52You know, why do you feel like it's important for you to do that?
19:54I'm super glad to like actually represent that.
19:57And I hope this inspires a lot of like international ghouls and like Asian ghouls to like audition
20:03for the show that I was like, I was able to do this well presenting myself and my culture
20:08in this platform.
20:09Yeah.
20:10Oh, it's so exciting.
20:11Thank you.
20:12You are about to compete in the grand finale of your very favorite show.
20:15Yes.
20:16So I want to know how you're going to be approaching these floor shows and we want details.
20:20So let's talk about your inspiration for horror.
20:23The horror look, I planned the moment I finished chemotherapy, I'm going to have all these
20:28like tumors and like faces growing out of me.
20:31My gown is like a pageant gown silhouette, but made out of hospital gown.
20:35And I have an IV pool with IV tubes plugged inside of me.
20:39I'm preparing a chemo diary that sums up like my experience in chemotherapy.
20:44My performance is going to be reading it on stage.
20:47It's going to be very emotional.
20:48To me, it's almost like a healing ritual.
20:51Oh, yeah, absolutely.
20:52And so finally, we have filth.
20:54I know a little bit about your filth and it's something that I mean, I feel personally very
20:58strongly connected to as well as an Asian person like what's your filth look?
21:02So my filth look is going to be a representation of how me and a lot of Asian American and
21:07Asian folks feels when they're met with a Western gaze on our culture, basically, especially
21:13like going into this Corona pandemic.
21:15A lot of us were faced with that hate face to face.
21:19So that I felt so personally disgusted by.
21:22There was just no other option for me.
21:23This was what I wanted to do.
21:24So my garment is almost like a old comic, like a racist comic cartoon character.
21:30I want to make it as over exaggerated as possible.
21:32So I'm displaying how ugly and ridiculous this can be.
21:37Wow.
21:38I'm excited to see this floor.
21:39I'm excited to see all of your floor shows.
21:41Yeah, I'm so fucking excited.
21:42Well, it sounds like you have a lot of work to do.
21:44Oh, absolutely.
21:45So we're gonna let you go.
21:46See you on the stage soon.
21:48Thank you so much, guys.
21:49It's been so fun.
21:50It's such a pleasure.
21:51It really is.
21:52I was excited before.
21:53But after all of that, I mean, I feel like we are literally going to see like four Titans
21:57clash.
21:58This is going to be really hard.
21:59It's going to be really good.
22:00Because it's not only the drag that they're bringing.
22:02It's what they each represent.
22:03Yeah.
22:04How important it is to each of them.
22:06It's going to be so hard to judge this.
22:08This is the strongest group of competitors we've ever had.
22:11I feel like we're about to see some incredible floor shows.
22:13Maybe we should have forked over $100,000 a long time ago.
22:17I wonder.
22:19Maybe not.
22:20Well, it's very great to catch up with both of you in this manner.
22:23And I can't wait for us to get back on track with our podcast.
22:26But for now, I think we all need to go to work.
22:27Ian needs to go boss some people around.
22:29And I need to go to sleep.
22:31Good night.
22:32All right.
22:33Well, we'll see you soon.
22:47Good night.
23:17Good night.
23:47Welcome to the grand finale of the Boulay Brothers' Dragula Season 4.
24:11We have challenged our final four drag monsters to conceptualize and design three original
24:15looks and performances based on the three tenets of Dragula, filth, horror, and glamour.
24:23These final performances will be judged on the originality of the overall concept, the
24:27execution and craftsmanship of the looks, and the competitors' ability to present their
24:32looks in an incredible stage show.
24:35The winner of the Boulay Brothers' Dragula will receive a $100,000 grand prize, a deluxe
24:40crown and scepter, courtesy of Fierce Drag Jewels, and the title of Dragula, the world's
24:46next drag super monster.
24:49Without further ado, let's dim the lights, start the music, and let the grand finale
24:55floor show begin.
25:00Glamour.
25:25Glamour.
