00:00:00Good evening, welcome to the final of The Apprentice.
00:00:04After 12 weeks of reputations built and demolished,
00:00:08grown men and women sobbing their hearts out,
00:00:10tearing each other's throats out,
00:00:12or even just rubbing their conkers together,
00:00:14this is where it all comes to an end.
00:00:16All the fired candidates are here,
00:00:18as are Ruth and Michelle's family and friends.
00:00:21In just an hour's time, we'll meet the winner, the runner-up,
00:00:24and the great man himself will tell us how and why
00:00:27he chose Ruth Badger or Michelle Dewberry to be his apprentice.
00:00:31Ladies and gentlemen, the final.
00:00:38This is not a game.
00:00:40This is a 12-week job interview.
00:00:44It's a dog-eat-dog situation.
00:00:4914 people have come to London in search of a job.
00:00:54There is no phone in here.
00:00:56There is no text number.
00:00:58There is no panel of judges.
00:01:00I'm the one that decides who gets fired,
00:01:03and I'm going to be the one, ultimately, who decides who gets hired.
00:01:08They've come to battle it out for a job with Sir Alan Sugar.
00:01:12I am the most belligerent person that you could ever come across.
00:01:16Tough and straight-talking,
00:01:18Sir Alan's built a business empire worth £800 million.
00:01:23Business is not about come in, piss my money up the wall.
00:01:27He's offering one job with a six-figure salary.
00:01:31To get it, they're going to have to live and work together.
00:01:35Don't fucking dick me around. You're getting pissed off with it.
00:01:38Quite frankly, I'd like to get rid of the bleeding three of you.
00:01:41This is the ultimate job interview.
00:01:44You're fired. You're fired. You're lightweight. You're fired.
00:01:54Last week on The Apprentice.
00:01:57Today, you're going to go through an interviewing process.
00:02:00Are there? Yeah.
00:02:02Instead of a task, the candidates faced hours of hostile questions.
00:02:07Do you lie and cheat every day? Yeah.
00:02:09Sir Alan's most trusted advisers grilled them fiercely.
00:02:13You resigned or you were fired?
00:02:15No, I resigned without a doubt. I wasn't fired.
00:02:17A day's work in his life yet.
00:02:20In the boardroom, the boss got the lowdown.
00:02:23But it seems to me that he's just a chancer because he's quite boring.
00:02:27I found him shallow.
00:02:31Having been briefed, Sir Alan found his target.
00:02:34How long have you been in bloody business?
00:02:36Three years. Three years?
00:02:38You're talking as if you've been in it for 30 years.
00:02:41Paul, you're fired.
00:02:44But it wasn't over. He wanted two to go.
00:02:48Is your family proud of you? Yeah.
00:02:50Yeah? Do you support them?
00:02:52I do, yes. They get what they want, yeah.
00:02:54I like that answer. I like your spirit and I've liked what you've done also.
00:02:58And I'm going to give you an opportunity.
00:03:01You're staying.
00:03:03But someone else wasn't.
00:03:05Ansel, regretfully, I've got to say to you, you're fired.
00:03:09OK, thank you very much.
00:03:13Now only Ruth and Michelle remain.
00:03:17With only one task left, Sir Alan's almost ready to choose his apprentice.
00:03:3412 weeks ago, 14 candidates entered this house.
00:03:39Now just two remain.
00:03:41Sir Alan's office.
00:03:43Sir Alan's office.
00:03:459am, the final phone call from Sir Alan's office.
00:03:49Hello? Morning from Sir Alan's office.
00:03:51Hi. Hi.
00:03:53He wants you to meet him at the boardroom at 11am sharp.
00:03:56The car's going to be coming for you in an hour and a half.
00:03:58OK, thank you.
00:04:05The winner, Michelle or Ruth, will get a job with a six-figure salary.
00:04:10You know, I've come in on day one and I want to win. I'd love to win.
00:04:14My strategy in this house has always been I just want to get on for myself.
00:04:17I don't want to pull anybody else down in order to project me.
00:04:20And I think that is a strategy that's paid off.
00:04:24I've been responsible for a lot of people and a lot of revenue.
00:04:28Where Michelle is, you know, she's very successful at what she's done, but she's younger than me.
00:04:33She's easier to mould.
00:04:35In comparison to me, you know, I'm as much of a challenge for him as he'll be for me
00:04:38because I won't just roll over and let him tickle me.
00:04:44This time, the would-be executives will travel to the boardroom business class.
00:04:51OK.
00:04:52Yeah?
00:04:53Yeah.
00:05:00For Michelle and Ruth, Sir Alan's final task will be the ultimate test of their leadership.
00:05:07In the boardroom, a surprise.
00:05:13Sir Alan's brought back some familiar faces to work for the two finalists.
00:05:18In the boardroom, a surprise.
00:05:25Sir Alan's brought back some familiar faces to work for the two finalists.
00:05:34This next task I've got lined up for you is going to be a tough one.
00:05:45You're going to need the assistance of these people here.
00:05:49And we're going to get on with choosing who's going to be with who.
00:05:54So I would have normally said ladies first.
00:05:57But Ruth, you call it.
00:06:00Heads.
00:06:01Heads, it's towels.
00:06:02OK, Michelle, you go first.
00:06:05Sharon.
00:06:08Ruth.
00:06:09Anderson.
00:06:13Syed.
00:06:16Ruth.
00:06:18I'll take Joe.
00:06:19Joe.
00:06:22OK, Michelle.
00:06:26Paul.
00:06:27And last but not least.
00:06:33I've laid on what I consider to be London's greatest venue.
00:06:37It's Tower Bridge.
00:06:39So this task is all about putting on an event.
00:06:42It can be anything.
00:06:43It can be a casino night.
00:06:44It can be a 007 night.
00:06:46It can be a Moulin Rouge night.
00:06:48It can be can-can.
00:06:49It can be whatever you want.
00:06:51But it's got to be colourful.
00:06:52It's got to be good.
00:06:53It's got to be drop-dead brilliant.
00:06:56The big event's going to end up on Friday night.
00:06:58We'll all be back here Saturday where I will decide who's going to be my apprentice.
00:07:05Off you go.
00:07:22I wouldn't say I've got a particularly strong team, but at the end of the day I'm the leader so it falls to me.
00:07:28Ruth has got Joe, Dunn and Ansell.
00:07:31She's hoping to tap into their sales skills and creativity.
00:07:36It's got to be an idea that, bang, people instantly associate with.
00:07:40I can tell you one thing for certain, there won't be tension in my team.
00:07:43I've already spoken to them and I said, do you all want me to win?
00:07:45And they said yes, and that's the most important thing for me.
00:07:50I'm going to work like I've never worked in my life to make sure that I win this task.
00:07:57To help her, Michelle has chosen Sharon, Paul and Saeed.
00:08:01At the end of the day she has to win this offer, but I think we are the staff.
00:08:05We are her slaves. We will do whatever she wants us to do.
00:08:08In fairness, I think I've got the team that's going to be more likely to have conflict in it.
00:08:14On past form, she could be right.
00:08:17You're talking absolute shit.
00:08:18You're not even listening to me, Paul.
00:08:20Because you're not making sense.
00:08:22So what's the fucking problem?
00:08:23I am here for the job, nothing else.
00:08:26I think you're an arrogant wanker, but good luck.
00:08:31It's my job at the end of the day as team manager to make sure that there's no messing around and that everybody works well.
00:08:36And I think I'll be able to do that.
00:08:44Tower Bridge, one of London's most famous landmarks.
00:08:49High above the Thames, the towers are linked by two giant walkways.
00:08:59In three days' time, Ruth and Michelle must stage two separate events inside these glass-walled corridors.
00:09:08OK, I'm going to take you on to the East Walkway now.
00:09:11The East Walkway has the fantastic views over to the Docklands, Canary Wharf,
00:09:15Basically, this is a blank space, so you've got a canvas here.
00:09:18And it's pretty much up to you what you do with that space and how you dress that.
00:09:23It won't be easy.
00:09:25The space is an awkward 61 metres long by just three metres wide.
00:09:31OK, so as you can see up here from the West Walkway, we're 42 metres above the Thames.
00:09:36People do come here for the views, so do bear that in mind for your event.
00:09:41I think the one difficulty is that this floor area is narrow and glass-wide.
00:09:44It is narrow.
00:09:45And so generating one focal point is going to be difficult to maintain the attention of everybody.
00:09:54The teams have been allocated makeshift offices, one in each tower.
00:10:03They've each got a healthy budget, and while they won't be judged on money alone,
00:10:07they must keep costs down and sell tickets.
00:10:13In the South Tower, Michelle's already setting out her theme to Emma from the Bridge Company.
00:10:18The primary idea that we've got on the table at the moment is kind of a Bond-style evening.
00:10:24And we would have kind of a diamond auction.
00:10:27Right.
00:10:28We're thinking as well about having a casino.
00:10:31We're also sort of thinking about having a nightclub.
00:10:34We're thinking about having a casino.
00:10:36We're also talking about things like having fireworks outside,
00:10:40potentially having a speedboat outside as well.
00:10:43But that's the kind of thing that we're talking about at the moment.
00:10:46Lots of people use Tower Bridge for glamorous parties,
00:10:50and giving it a theme gives it very much a sense of focus.
00:10:53Michelle's calling her event 00Heaven.
00:10:57She's asked Sharon to organise it and put Saeed and Paul in charge of ticket sales.
00:11:03We've looked into hiring companies.
00:11:05We can hire the new Vanquish.
00:11:07We can position it in Canary Wharf.
00:11:08What's a Vanquish?
00:11:09It's a new Aston Martin Vanquish.
00:11:11Position it outside of Canary Wharf in front of Barclays Capital HSBC Lehman Brothers,
00:11:15because I've seen it done before.
00:11:17So me and Paul, both in tuxedos, stand there with the car behind us,
00:11:23with our theme, and we just sell tickets.
00:11:25You know what? Within two hours we'll run out completely.
00:11:27Good. I think that's a brilliant idea.
00:11:29Amazing.
00:11:30It's your responsibility for flagging Aston Martin.
00:11:32That is mine.
00:11:33We'll have to pay for it, absolutely.
00:11:35Why?
00:11:36I don't do free. It's just not in my nature to do free.
00:11:39I do pay for it, OK, but we'll get a good deal.
00:11:42OK, I mean you need to learn to do free.
00:11:45Start with free and then work up from there.
00:11:48All right, fine.
00:11:49Don't just make it a call for me.
00:11:51Liz, from the bridge company, is in Ruth's office to hear her plan.
00:11:55What we plan to do on Friday evening is a murder mystery evening.
00:11:59OK.
00:12:00Ruth wants to feature actors in a series of dramatised murders
00:12:04that guests will be invited to solve.
00:12:06What's the format going to be?
00:12:08OK.
00:12:09How do you see it working?
00:12:10How do we see it working?
00:12:11Basically, 125 people, we're going to involve a dinner,
00:12:15because the murder mystery theme will be run throughout the dinner.
00:12:18My concern is the amount of people...
00:12:20For a murder mystery.
00:12:21For a murder mystery, and the fact that they're all going to be...
00:12:24No-one's going to know each other.
00:12:27They've got just three days.
00:12:30Michelle and Sharon are off to search for suppliers,
00:12:35leaving Paul and Saeed in the office.
00:12:38Just for one second.
00:12:39OK.
00:12:40So, what I think we should do now, OK, is spend ten minutes here
00:12:45and write down all the stuff that's positive,
00:12:47all the stuff that's bubbling, OK?
00:12:49You put down all your interests and stuff and that can come out...
00:12:52That's exactly what I've just said.
00:12:55Yeah, I know.
00:12:56Well, I'm just saying exactly what I would like to do
00:12:58and how I would like to do it, OK?
00:12:59I will put my interests and stuff down.
00:13:01It's all here already, all my results, OK?
00:13:03And then we'll look at the business yellow pages
00:13:05to see what business is around here,
00:13:07and we'll arrange some meetings. That's it.
00:13:09And I think what you've got to keep in line here is there's two of us here, OK?
00:13:12I won't be managed, for sure, OK?
00:13:14And I'm not going to try and manage you.
00:13:16I'm respecting your space,
00:13:17so I'd appreciate if you respect my space.
00:13:19We'll work together.
00:13:20Saeed can't take criticism.
00:13:21He cannot take criticism.
00:13:23And he especially can't take it from me.
00:13:25And he gives you these backhanding compliments.
00:13:27Oh, Paul, you know, I think you're one of the most intelligent,
00:13:29well-respected businessmen I've ever met,
00:13:30but don't you fucking dare sort me out again.
00:13:32Don't you do this. Who do you think you are, bloody?
00:13:34It's like fucking hell.
00:13:35You think I'm that thick that I'm going to be accepting,
00:13:37oh, he's just said a nice thing about me, so whatever's coming, I don't care.
00:13:40It's just...
00:13:41Saeed is absolutely sound when...
00:13:45When is he...?
00:13:47I was just going to say, when is he absolutely sound?
00:13:49When is he asleep?
00:13:51Putting differences aside,
00:13:53Saeed and Paul go in search of a sports car
00:13:56to promote their ticket sales.
00:13:58Now, what we're trying to do is ideally get an Aston Martin,
00:14:02obviously the Bond car.
00:14:04What I was ringing you for, really,
00:14:06to see if you've got any contacts,
00:14:07if you knew anyone with an Aston Martin,
00:14:09or any garages that we can ring
00:14:12and obviously drop your name in, which might help us get...
00:14:17Well, thanks for your help. Bye.
00:14:20What did you hear? It's quite funny.
00:14:21Aston is Aston Martin.
00:14:23Aston Martin?
00:14:24You said Aston.
00:14:25It's not that it matters, but you said Aston.
00:14:27Just thought I'd let you know.
00:14:29Aston.
00:14:36Michelle and Sharon are looking for props for their 00 Heaven event.
00:14:43If I give you the target shooting, four mannequins,
00:14:45one casino backdrop and the three dancing tubes,
00:14:49and I can give you, say, four giant dice
00:14:52to stack around your casino area.
00:14:54Obviously, we're paying £600.
00:14:55£600.
00:14:56But it's to the value of, like, well over £1,000.
00:14:59It's £1,500.
00:15:02What could we get for £500?
00:15:06I know you're doing a great deal already
00:15:08and I know we're being cheeky by pushing,
00:15:09I'm just asking the question.
00:15:11If I give you the target shooting, four mannequins,
00:15:13one casino backdrop and the three dancing tubes for £500.
00:15:18Yeah, I think I'd prefer that.
00:15:19Do we get the casino backdrop? We do, don't we?
00:15:21Yeah.
00:15:22I think I'd prefer that.
00:15:25Ignoring worries about her murder mystery theme,
00:15:28Ruth has gone ahead and booked the actors.
00:15:31The long and short of it is I've actually made a decision on the theme.
00:15:34Yep.
00:15:35We are definitely going to go for the murder mystery.
00:15:37The priority now is to sell tickets.
00:15:41Sorry?
00:15:42But you've got food, you've got drink and it's fine wine.
00:15:44Ruth's strategy is to ring contacts from previous tasks.
00:15:48Hello, can I speak to Noel, please?
00:15:50Hi, Noel, it's Ansel.
00:15:52We organised an event on Friday on Tower Bridge.
00:15:55What we're doing is we're speaking to all the people
00:15:57that we've come into contact with,
00:15:59dealt with over all our tasks and different things we've done,
00:16:02and inviting people along.
00:16:03What it is, is a murder mystery evening.
00:16:05It's just going to be a bonkers night.
00:16:07We're limiting it to 80 people.
00:16:10Working for Michelle, Paul and Saeed are at London Bridge.
00:16:14They're looking for a spot where they might park an Aston Martin.
00:16:18This is a nice open space here, isn't it?
00:16:20Well, this is the bridge, just here.
00:16:22They haven't sold any tickets yet,
00:16:24but Saeed decides to do some market research.
00:16:29What would you say?
00:16:30£200.
00:16:31£200?
00:16:32Yeah.
00:16:33What we're doing is we're doing a 00 Heaven theme, OK?
00:16:36We're going to have speed boats, we're going to have champagne,
00:16:39all the drinks inclusive, canapés, food inclusive.
00:16:42How much are you prepared to pay?
00:16:44Maybe, like, £200.
00:16:45£200?
00:16:46£200.
00:16:47I would probably say, like, £200.
00:16:49£200, OK, fine.
00:16:50I can take this one?
00:16:51Of course you can.
00:16:52There you go.
00:16:54We're not in a rush.
00:16:55Do I just press?
00:16:56Yeah.
00:16:58Time isn't a problem.
00:16:59We can take photos, do anything, really.
00:17:02Go out for lunch with them if you want.
00:17:07Oh, man!
00:17:16In the Mediterranean, Sir Alan is relaxing on his yacht.
00:17:22But he's not happy.
00:17:24He's just been briefed on Ruth's murder mystery idea...
00:17:29..and puts in a call.
00:17:31Well, the thing is, I'm a bit pissed off.
00:17:34I've heard about your murder mystery...
00:17:36Yeah.
00:17:37..that you're putting on.
00:17:38Yeah.
00:17:39Well, to be honest with you, it sucks.
00:17:41It sounds like it sucks to me.
00:17:42You need to have more entertainment.
00:17:44Yeah, OK.
00:17:45You need to bless, can-can, colour, excitement.
00:17:47Yeah.
00:17:48And you've got to, like, be creative about it.
00:17:50Yeah.
00:17:51I mean, at the moment, I'm at a loss of what you lot
00:17:53are actually going to be doing on the night.
00:17:55Yeah, OK.
00:17:57MUSIC PLAYS
00:18:04Stung by Sir Alan's criticism,
00:18:06Ruth calls a meeting with the agency she's hired
00:18:09to organise the murder mystery.
00:18:11Is it too late to pull the murder mystery
00:18:13and spend the extra money on a whole night of entertainment?
00:18:20Um, I think ethically it is, yeah,
00:18:22because you phoned me out and said,
00:18:24Emma, this is definitely going ahead.
00:18:26So I phoned them and said, this is definitely going ahead.
00:18:28So the actors are booked.
00:18:30Obviously, we haven't got anything in writing,
00:18:32but, you know, you said to me that you were a woman of your word.
00:18:35I am.
00:18:36And I have booked them.
00:18:37But the point is, I've got to ensure
00:18:39that this event runs smoothly...
00:18:41Yes.
00:18:42..and it is an entertaining evening.
00:18:44Yeah.
00:18:45If I get on the phone now...
00:18:46These guys have got to win.
00:18:47Yes, I can see that.
00:18:48Somebody's got to win this, and if it's not right,
00:18:50they won't win.
00:18:51If I stick with you, are you going to give me
00:18:53the prize with the most amount that I can get?
00:18:55Yes, of course I will.
00:18:58See you later, guys. Bye.
00:19:00At the printers, Michelle has struck a deal
00:19:03to have tickets printed free.
00:19:06But Paul and Saeed are starting to worry her.
00:19:09My concern is that we split up, what, six hours ago?
00:19:13In that six hours,
00:19:15we have been able to get all of our marketing material for free,
00:19:19start the ball rolling on free props and free diamonds.
00:19:22Casinos, dancers, James Bond lookalikes.
00:19:25We've got proper cost projections now for all entertainment.
00:19:29Mm-hm.
00:19:30We've set up lighting meetings.
00:19:32And all the guys have done so far is tell me,
00:19:36yeah, I've found a spot on the street that I think I can sell.
00:19:40Do you know what? I'm going to let you in on a wee secret.
00:19:43Saeed isn't a salesman, he's a con man,
00:19:45because Saeed doesn't actually sell, he cons.
00:19:49They're doing my head in.
00:19:51I didn't anticipate that they would be like this.
00:19:53I thought that they would both get on and I thought they'd always got on.
00:19:57Michelle, you don't know what it's been like for me having to work with them.
00:20:01It's been a problem.
00:20:09Back at the house, Ruth's team are emailing contacts from previous tasks.
00:20:15It sounds like you're getting all of them, it's not.
00:20:17So now we've got Topshop, Winkworth.
00:20:20Just forms, yeah.
00:20:21Do you want all those?
00:20:22Yeah, I'll speak to him.
00:20:27Ruth is upstairs, alone.
00:20:32Today was pretty bad. I got very stressed.
00:20:35The more I think about the murder mystery idea, the weaker it gets.
00:20:39But I do find the more you discuss things and rip it to pieces,
00:20:43rip it to shreds, the weaker anything becomes.
00:20:46We'll just track them down and do it that way.
00:20:49I just need to actually find the company.
00:20:51If I can't remember the company name, we can't do it.
00:20:54There's a difference between hired and fired.
00:20:56And even though it's one letter, it's going to change the rest of my life.
00:21:00And that is very, very daunting.
00:21:05This is the hardest thing we've done.
00:21:14In the morning, Ruth gets an early start.
00:21:20But Michel's in bed, wondering what to do about ticket sales.
00:21:27What I'm saying, I'm not being rude, I'm just saying,
00:21:29if you want me to sell at 80, we can sell at 80.
00:21:31If you want me to sell at 100, we can sell at 100.
00:21:33If you want me to sell at 200, we can sell at 200.
00:21:36If you want me to sell at 300, we can sell at 300.
00:21:39If you want me to sell at 400, we can sell at 400.
00:21:42If you want me to sell at 100, we can sell at 100.
00:21:44All right, give me a car, and I'll sell it at 150.
00:21:46Saeed, right, I cannot give you...
00:21:48You keep banging on about giving me a car.
00:21:50I ain't got no money to give you a car.
00:21:52We're not sitting in a house.
00:21:54Michel, can you take a deep breath, please? Calm down.
00:21:56I'm talking to you. Are you doing my head in?
00:21:58I'm doing your head in again.
00:22:00How? What have I done? What have I said to you? I'm talking to you.
00:22:02OK, I'll tell you what the situation is, Michel, all right?
00:22:05You are stressed out.
00:22:07When you say really brashly, you're stressed out, Michel.
00:22:11Chill out. Try thinking about the situation that I'm in, Saeed.
00:22:14Because, yeah, I am stressed.
00:22:22We've not got the contortionist, we've got...
00:22:25Ruth's ticket sale strategy is working.
00:22:28A caterer she hired on a previous task has taken the bait.
00:22:32There's been a murder on the bridge. That sounds fun.
00:22:34It will be fun, without a doubt.
00:22:36Great, so there's your four tickets.
00:22:38Fantastic. I've got your cheque.
00:22:40Lovely. Pleasure doing business again. Good luck, good luck.
00:22:43I've got some other questions that I need to ask you. Yeah, sure.
00:22:46We're doing a raffle, so if you want to donate any prizes,
00:22:48we will actually say as we're doing it,
00:22:50Donated by a dead snapper. This isn't a hit list.
00:22:52It is, absolutely. Do it well.
00:22:54Let's get something nicely wrapped.
00:22:56That's our best hair champagne. Oh, wow. Nicely wrapped.
00:22:58That's like a Bollinger or a Grand Donner or something.
00:23:01So that's worth about £50 a bottle. Great.
00:23:03So it's premium. That's brilliant, thank you.
00:23:06Probably one other? Yeah.
00:23:08Red, white, shampoos.
00:23:10If we can have another shampoos, that would be great.
00:23:12OK, let's do a pink one. OK.
00:23:18Up late, but now on the road,
00:23:20Michelle's team ring some contacts from previous tasks.
00:23:24What are you doing on Friday night, Kat?
00:23:26Erm, I wish I could come with to the party,
00:23:29but unfortunately I've made plans already.
00:23:32Oh, right, you haven't even made plans.
00:23:34So has someone already talked to you about it, have they?
00:23:38Ah, right, OK.
00:23:45Oh, right, OK, cool.
00:23:47Right, well, we'll speak to you in a bit about that, then.
00:23:50Take care. Bye. Bye.
00:23:52The other fucking team have completely got one over on us.
00:23:55They've got every corporate contact and they've shafted us.
00:23:58They've got their tickets sold.
00:24:00They've beaten us already on ticket sales.
00:24:02You, as the salespeople, should now be thinking,
00:24:04fuck me, who am I going to call, where am I going to be?
00:24:07Just get on with your calls.
00:24:13Ruth is on her way to another contact
00:24:15who's already agreed to buy tickets.
00:24:20Good to see you again.
00:24:23But within the last few minutes, someone else has been in touch.
00:24:28What's Saeed just called me? You are joking.
00:24:31We got there first.
00:24:33Well, he's actually got a very good deal.
00:24:35He has. He has.
00:24:37But they have got a theme that is very, very ordinary.
00:24:40Bond. I love Bond.
00:24:42Great. You will love our evening.
00:24:44Nick, you will love our evening.
00:24:46My parents might love your evening.
00:24:48The view is unbelievable.
00:24:50We're on the east walkway of the tower.
00:24:52So when you actually... Here?
00:24:54Yeah, so you're actually along there.
00:24:56Oh, wow. Say 75 quid there.
00:24:58So Saeed's Bond 65.
00:25:00That's fine, but you're not going to get the food,
00:25:02you're not going to get the entertainment
00:25:04and you're not going to get the personality of the host in there.
00:25:09But I think it's very much...
00:25:11This event is entertainment, not just standing around having a drink.
00:25:14I'm sorry, I'm sorry. OK.
00:25:21You're in first.
00:25:23If I take 20 tickets... Yes, please.
00:25:25I'll charge you for 18 and 75 quid.
00:25:28Right, we need... Have you got cheque or...?
00:25:30I got the cash this morning.
00:25:32Hi there, can I speak to you for one minute?
00:25:34Hi there, we're hosting an event at Tower Bridge on Friday.
00:25:37With no Aston Martin and most of their contacts spoken for,
00:25:41Paul and Saeed decide to flog tickets on the street.
00:25:44Can I talk to you about an event we're doing at Tower Bridge on Friday?
00:25:47You in a rush?
00:25:49Jesus Christ.
00:25:51Everyone's in a rush on this bridge.
00:25:53Everyone here is on a mission.
00:25:55So we need to go to a place where people aren't in a rush.
00:25:58You don't understand what I mean by...
00:26:00Mate, you don't have to sell that idea to me again.
00:26:10You ever been to Tower Bridge for a do?
00:26:12It's awesome, OK? The whole West Wing is just going to be...
00:26:15Fantastic views of the city, OK?
00:26:17What we need to do now is sell to you guys, OK?
00:26:20We need to sell some tickets. I know these guys.
00:26:22You know these guys, do you? Yeah.
00:26:24You all right? How's it going? Good.
00:26:26Paul might have as Saeed can't keep his fucking mouth shut.
00:26:29As soon as it looks good, he'll jump on the back of it.
00:26:31If I crash and burn, he'll quite happily step out of it.
00:26:34So, you know, I'm really, really pissed off.
00:26:36Can I pay? You've got drinks included as well.
00:26:38£6.50. We've got a Bond lookalike tomorrow night.
00:26:41We've got a photographer. Diamond auction.
00:26:43It's going to be a fantastic event.
00:26:45There's a lot of people taken out there as well.
00:26:47So go on, mate. No, I've done that, mate.
00:26:49So basically, what are you guys doing tomorrow night?
00:26:51We've got tickets to sell and we want to sell some tickets
00:26:53because this is going to be an absolutely awesome event.
00:26:55I'm hating this.
00:26:57It's the most frustrating thing I've ever done.
00:26:59And this whole thing is working with him for that long.
00:27:01He's an absolute fucking nightmare.
00:27:03He's going to ruin this for Michelle, I'll tell you.
00:27:05He is going to fuck it up.
00:27:07Shall we not go in there?
00:27:09Might as well wait for Marcus and come out and let us know anyway.
00:27:11All right, I'll be in there anyway.
00:27:13Cock.
00:27:17Hello? Hi, Michelle, it's Paul. How are you doing?
00:27:19Hi, Sally, I'm all right.
00:27:21I'm just doing this call now just to let you know the situation, OK?
00:27:23Yeah, we can.
00:27:25We've got concerns that we haven't sold any tickets, really,
00:27:27on any major scale.
00:27:29Yeah, and from my point of view, I'm shitting myself
00:27:31that there's nobody coming to this party tomorrow.
00:27:33We are concerned.
00:27:35We've only sold four tickets, so...
00:27:37Have you sold any at all yet, Michelle?
00:27:39No.
00:27:45It's food and wine in the evening.
00:27:47It starts from 8 o'clock.
00:27:49The capacity is only 80 strong.
00:27:51OK, so if I can just speak to you about...
00:27:53Having exhausted their list of contacts,
00:27:55Ruth has put her team on the streets too.
00:27:57Where you been, girl?
00:27:59You wouldn't believe that.
00:28:01Where you been?
00:28:03Right, so I've just been into the second most important place
00:28:05in Britain when it comes to insurance,
00:28:07and I've just been removed by security.
00:28:11Was that down around the corner?
00:28:13Yeah, this building here, I've basically...
00:28:15I got through to two separate companies,
00:28:17but then apparently they don't like cold calling.
00:28:19I didn't have a security pass, so they removed me.
00:28:23Come on, let's get back in the car.
00:28:25Let's get back in here.
00:28:33With Sir Alan's criticism still worrying her,
00:28:37Ruth has decided to jazz up her event.
00:28:39It's all right, we've been doing that.
00:28:41The murder mystery idea
00:28:43will now be in period costume.
00:28:45What time's the event?
00:28:47Um, eight.
00:28:49If you suddenly have men in something like this,
00:28:51it's a completely different period.
00:28:53I have to have them looking very colourful, I know that.
00:28:55Fine.
00:28:57So I'd prefer...
00:28:59If this is what you want and I can do it, that's not a problem,
00:29:01but it is not Victorian and it will not look Victorian
00:29:03because it's britches and it's...
00:29:05Can we do that with black trousers?
00:29:07I think it would look funny.
00:29:09It's late and both teams still need to sell tickets.
00:29:23Doern and Ansell have got permission
00:29:25to work the floor at a prestige car launch.
00:29:29When the champagne starts flowing,
00:29:31they hope to sell at £75 a ticket.
00:29:33It is going to be mental fun.
00:29:35There's all kinds of people, very similar to the people in the film.
00:29:37Can I tempt you out off your sofa tomorrow night?
00:29:39Because it's murder mystery, people are involved,
00:29:41we've got actors and we've got magicians.
00:29:43I think we've got very few left, right?
00:29:45So are you three in?
00:29:47Yes.
00:29:49Add £100 for three, though.
00:29:51Maybe you can do it.
00:29:53Seriously, it's going to be a great night.
00:29:55Sweetie, I hear you,
00:29:57but there's three of us and £100 cash in my pocket,
00:29:59so the answer to you is,
00:30:01do you want three for £100?
00:30:03If you can't do that, that's absolutely fine.
00:30:05I'll go to my other party.
00:30:07Let's do something with the numbers.
00:30:09I can't do £100.
00:30:11£150 we can do.
00:30:13But you can't arrange that.
00:30:15But I can.
00:30:17Let's do the right side of £120.
00:30:19Let's do £130, we're done.
00:30:21Let's do £120 and I'll go to Cornell.
00:30:23Come on, £125.
00:30:25Right, are you there?
00:30:27Yeah.
00:30:29Have you sold any?
00:30:31Yeah, it looks like we've done three tickets there.
00:30:33All good.
00:30:35Thank you, speak to you in a bit, bye.
00:30:41So far,
00:30:43Paul and Saeed have sold just four tickets
00:30:45for Michelle.
00:30:47And the news has reached Sir Alan.
00:30:49This is looking like a bloody disaster.
00:30:51You need to get selling done
00:30:53and get those tickets sold.
00:30:55Otherwise, you're going to have a disaster on you.
00:30:57I completely agree with you.
00:30:59It doesn't matter what kind of event
00:31:01you've got on there, how wonderful
00:31:03and how spectacular it is.
00:31:05If you've got no customers in there,
00:31:07then it's going to be a bloody joke.
00:31:09And you need to get control
00:31:11of this Paul and Saeed
00:31:13and make sure they're on your side.
00:31:15I know.
00:31:21Fucking great,
00:31:23the battery's just gone dead.
00:31:25You just hung up on him.
00:31:27No, I didn't hang up on him.
00:31:29You are my boys, you're my sales boys.
00:31:31I picked you, I recruited you
00:31:33because I thought you were going to sell.
00:31:35And I've got four confirmed ticket sales.
00:31:37We've been pitching all day, Michelle.
00:31:39Saeed, just listen to me please
00:31:41because it's me that's going to get this up the fucking arse
00:31:43when I fail.
00:31:45There's two of you.
00:31:47Why aren't one of you on the phone?
00:31:49I know the other one is in the door selling.
00:31:51Nine o'clock this morning, I've been relentlessly calling businesses and selling.
00:31:53Pitching, selling, pitching, selling.
00:31:55You've not been selling because you've only sold four tickets.
00:31:57I want to ask you, right,
00:31:59whether you agree with me or not, you're a loose cannon
00:32:01and I think you've got the potential
00:32:03to absolutely fucking kill this for me.
00:32:05We are clearly confined.
00:32:07Look at me, Saeed, because that's rude.
00:32:09No, you're being rude. I'm telling you something
00:32:11and I want you to listen for once in your life.
00:32:13Guys, you know what, I think I've just had enough
00:32:15of you talking to me like I'm some sort of idiot.
00:32:17Have I not just...
00:32:19No, listen, the PM just told me what's going to happen
00:32:21and that's what happened.
00:32:23Don't ask me anything.
00:32:25How am I going to ruin it? I'm the only one that sold today.
00:32:27Exactly, so stop shouting.
00:32:29Listen, we've all been selling.
00:32:31What I'm trying to say is we have generated
00:32:33a lot of interest today and tomorrow we'll get the sales.
00:32:35Well, you've also generated a lot of wasted energy
00:32:37and you've also generated a lot of fucking friction.
00:32:39You live in fucking Disneyland.
00:32:41This is fucking amazing.
00:32:43So listen to me.
00:32:45Michelle, it just seems to me that you've planned
00:32:47this little session here
00:32:49with your friend over there just to have a go at me
00:32:51because that's what's happened.
00:32:53Listen to me.
00:32:55Can I tell you something, Michelle?
00:32:57I'm literally this much okay to actually turn around
00:32:59and being really, really horrible.
00:33:01What I'm just trying to say to you is I've taken enough.
00:33:03I've taken enough.
00:33:11The end of day two.
00:33:13Michelle has just 24 hours
00:33:15to prevent 00Heaven
00:33:17turning into 00Hell.
00:33:23Hello, can I speak to Ingrid, please?
00:33:25The morning of the event.
00:33:27At the house, the phones are red hot.
00:33:29You know, shopping experience would be fantastic.
00:33:31I'll do them for 20.
00:33:33I'll give you two free tickets.
00:33:35You take 15 off me.
00:33:37Now, that's a bargain.
00:33:39Okay, see you later.
00:33:41Bye.
00:33:43Bye.
00:33:45Bye.
00:33:47Bye.
00:33:49Bye.
00:33:51Okay.
00:33:53Let me go and double check.
00:33:55Okay, it does to me.
00:33:57Yeah, we'll go for that.
00:33:59Great, thanks a lot. Bye.
00:34:01Come on, then.
00:34:03As they leave for the bridge,
00:34:05Ruth is just 16 tickets away
00:34:07from selling out.
00:34:09We've got two things to talk about, the event and the sales,
00:34:11so let's focus on the sales now.
00:34:13Michelle has started her day
00:34:15with just 11 tickets sold.
00:34:17She decides on a corporate reshuffle.
00:34:19We know that the teams are different, so Syed and I
00:34:21and Paula Shang are going to be together.
00:34:23I can't stress it enough, the absolute priority
00:34:25is getting rid of these tickets.
00:34:27Obviously try and pitch at 65 quid a ticket.
00:34:29We'll be able to go down to 50.
00:34:31If we need to go down to 45, then go for it.
00:34:33If we need to go lower than 45, just give me a call.
00:34:35We should look at getting smart,
00:34:37so doing corporate deals,
00:34:39so if someone's going to try and give us leads
00:34:41and we get 10 ticket sales out of them,
00:34:43don't be afraid to chuck one in for free.
00:34:45We just need to be creative, I'm going to trust you,
00:34:47we just need to get rid of these things.
00:35:05Hiya, it's Michelle.
00:35:07About these tickets...
00:35:09We've scoured London,
00:35:11we've secured Tower Bridge.
00:35:13First time it's open to the public for an entertainment.
00:35:15Give us some figures to play with
00:35:17and then I'll tell you what we can do.
00:35:19Well, say if all of us in this office were to go,
00:35:21but then we've got two offices in Wapping,
00:35:23so if we were to invite them as well
00:35:25and there's maybe five, ten people...
00:35:27Fantastic. Is it nine altogether then, yeah?
00:35:29Michelle's new partnerships quickly deliver results.
00:35:31OK, thank you very much.
00:35:33See you, bye.
00:35:3520 and 45, and that's 20 quid off the ticket price.
00:35:37And if we can do 10, we'll do 10 at 50
00:35:39and that's £15 off the ticket price.
00:35:41Four tickets for 50 and one for free
00:35:43and it's exactly the same amount as £200.
00:35:45It's for four, we can do it for 50 each
00:35:47and that's it really.
00:35:49So how many people do you want, 15?
00:35:51Here's the tickets. £60 each, as discussed.
00:35:53By one o'clock,
00:35:55Michelle has sold over half her tickets.
00:35:57I'm going to be impressed.
00:35:59Fucking national team, I can't believe she did that.
00:36:05On the other team, Ruth has even better news.
00:36:09We've just sold another two,
00:36:11we've only got two tickets left.
00:36:15And we just sold another two as well.
00:36:23We've sold out.
00:36:25That's what I'm saying.
00:36:27Fat zero.
00:36:29Big fat zero.
00:36:31Fuck for that.
00:36:41Across town,
00:36:43Michelle seals one last big deal.
00:36:49Perfect.
00:36:53But as the working day draws to a close,
00:36:55Michelle comes up with a new plan.
00:36:57What are we doing about these prices?
00:36:59Are we keeping them at 65 or are we going to drop them a bit?
00:37:01Drop them a bit, mate.
00:37:03Just sell them, just drop them and sell them.
00:37:05Super salesman Paul will hit the streets.
00:37:07It's all sponsored by Apple.
00:37:09It's all sponsored by Aston Martin and Harrods,
00:37:11so you can imagine it's quite an exclusive event.
00:37:13Anyone got any plans tonight?
00:37:15Because I'll sell them for £20 right now.
00:37:17£10 each, all your drinks, food, everything.
00:37:19Mate, I would love to see you there tonight.
00:37:21Are you going to get dressed up in your suits and come down?
00:37:23Yeah? Sweet, right, OK.
00:37:25Right, well, thanks, guys. There's your tickets.
00:37:27There's two there.
00:37:29While Paul sells, Sharon's been told to organise
00:37:31the event's finishing touches.
00:37:33Hiya.
00:37:35Can I see that size?
00:37:37That's the kind of size I was thinking of.
00:37:39The size of ours? That's no problem.
00:37:41We have a slightly smaller version of this.
00:37:43That would be great.
00:37:45And we can get more towards that shape.
00:37:47Could you make your flowers look like a cocktail?
00:37:49Yeah.
00:37:51Sir Alan has laid on Tower Bridge.
00:37:53In return, he expects two quality events.
00:37:55With just an hour to go,
00:37:57Sharon's got it all to do
00:37:59to get 00 Heaven up and running.
00:38:01Your expertise.
00:38:03We're doing the dancers,
00:38:05and we're starting from that point,
00:38:07because it's all blocked off.
00:38:09What I'd like you to do is take the pose.
00:38:11Start off like that, so if you've got gum,
00:38:13go to the side, side,
00:38:15and then lead that into your shimmer.
00:38:19Ruth's team arrive
00:38:21to set up their murder mystery.
00:38:23It's going to fall over!
00:38:25Flowering a girl!
00:38:27Lots of projection.
00:38:29Lots of running around,
00:38:31which will add to the activity.
00:38:33Apart from a small cast of actors,
00:38:35there's not much in the way of props.
00:38:37Just a few tables and chairs.
00:38:39Right, I just need to set...
00:38:41Yeah.
00:38:43And costumes for her team.
00:38:47Wow! Don't you look fab!
00:38:49What have you got?
00:38:51You fucking wench!
00:38:53Look at this! My God!
00:38:55Like a kid!
00:38:57Look at that! I know!
00:38:59Fab, innit? Look!
00:39:01But the costumes are not to everyone's taste.
00:39:03Ruth's chosen what she's chosen,
00:39:05like always,
00:39:07but at the moment
00:39:09I'm wearing it looking like a pimp,
00:39:11so it's not great,
00:39:13but it's such is life.
00:39:15At least Ansel can get into his.
00:39:25On the other walkway,
00:39:27details and styling are key.
00:39:29How far do you want it moved down?
00:39:31Just a little touch.
00:39:33Ready?
00:39:35Shall we try it there?
00:39:41We've got two hosts coming.
00:39:43They're going to be meeting and greeting everybody.
00:39:45We're going to give people a red wine,
00:39:47people a white wine or a fruit juice,
00:39:49whatever it is that they want.
00:39:51For both teams, it's showtime.
00:39:55Fantastic.
00:39:57Lovely.
00:40:01Brilliant. What was your name?
00:40:03Scott.
00:40:05I said good evening,
00:40:07ladies and gentlemen!
00:40:09Good evening!
00:40:11On the east walkway,
00:40:13Ruth's murder mystery kicks off
00:40:15with a last-minute change to the format.
00:40:19Zoe's daughter!
00:40:27I'm not one of these other girls in here.
00:40:31That's where I come from.
00:40:33Can't strip these locks, don't lose the fashion.
00:40:35Diamonds are a girl's best friend.
00:40:41Take me!
00:40:45Next, the murder mystery actors
00:40:47take to the floor.
00:40:49Coward, sir!
00:40:51Coward?
00:40:53Did you call me a coward?
00:40:55But where's Farquhar?
00:40:57I don't think he might be over there.
00:40:59I'm sticking with Daddy.
00:41:03That is my girlfriend, not yours!
00:41:05I'm nervous I'm out of trouble.
00:41:07Will you please stop?
00:41:11On the west walkway,
00:41:13Michelle's 00 Heaven night has begun.
00:41:17Have yourself to a drink.
00:41:19A glamorous evening
00:41:21of cocktails, canopies
00:41:23and look-alike celebrities.
00:41:25Thank you for coming.
00:41:27To see so many of you around is absolutely brilliant.
00:41:29It really is.
00:41:31To complete the secret agent theme,
00:41:33Michelle's laid on target shooting,
00:41:39sexy dancers,
00:41:41a high-rolling casino
00:41:43and a diamond auction.
00:41:45Show to this gentleman
00:41:47for £650 tonight!
00:41:50There's only one thing missing.
00:41:55The boss.
00:42:15Unknown to the finalists,
00:42:17Sir Alan's put himself
00:42:19on the guest list.
00:42:23He begins in 00 Heaven.
00:42:29Who's in there?
00:42:31Ah, that'll be telling.
00:42:33Casino money, see what you can make in your hundred dollars.
00:42:41Is that Saeed out there?
00:42:43If I had my way, it would be,
00:42:45Oh, yes.
00:42:49Insurance again, look.
00:42:51We're on a roll now.
00:42:53We'll try it again.
00:42:55We've done again.
00:42:57I've doubled your money,
00:42:59that's what I promised I'd do,
00:43:01but now I'll have to go.
00:43:05Next, it's Ruth's turn
00:43:07to face the surprise guest.
00:43:09One bad, one stiff.
00:43:11Come on.
00:43:13May I have a visit, sir?
00:43:15Who are you?
00:43:17My name's Nathan Osgood.
00:43:19I'm the best goods department store in New York City.
00:43:21I'm sure you've seen it.
00:43:23Anyway, I've got business to attend to
00:43:25with a few shareholders
00:43:27in this country.
00:43:29I think I'm going to put some money their way.
00:43:43Hey!
00:44:07Twelve weeks ago,
00:44:0914 candidates entered this house.
00:44:11Now two are left,
00:44:13and they're packing to leave.
00:44:17Yesterday, I genuinely did think
00:44:19this is the worst day of my life.
00:44:21It was horrendous.
00:44:23But, ultimately, we put an event on,
00:44:25and the event worked,
00:44:27and we had people, and those people enjoyed it.
00:44:29I think I made a mistake
00:44:31by going with the murder mystery theme
00:44:33as the main theme.
00:44:35It didn't actually end up as it meant to,
00:44:37and I'll be completely honest with that,
00:44:39but it looked good.
00:44:41It was quite creative, and it was very ambitious, so...
00:44:59In the boardroom,
00:45:01Michelle and Ruth are joined
00:45:03by the teams they chose to help them.
00:45:09Hello?
00:45:11Hi, Jenny. Will you send them in, please?
00:45:13Yes, I will.
00:45:15You can go through to the boardroom now.
00:45:17Will you send them in, please?
00:45:19Yes, I will.
00:45:21You can go through to the boardroom now.
00:45:39Well,
00:45:41how d'you think it went
00:45:43yesterday, Ruth?
00:45:45I feel I achieved everything that I set out to achieve which was a put fill the room
00:45:49with people who wanted to be there put on good food good wine good entertainment and
00:45:54Make sure that everybody in there went out thinking what a nice but at the end of the team back you up nice
00:46:00Did you think without a doubt last night every single member of my team were fantastic, right?
00:46:06Michelle you seem like you had a hard a hard week from what I can understand
00:46:11One of the hardest weeks you've ever had in your life my week's been absolutely shit. Yeah, really as good as that. Yeah
00:46:18Well, I'm gonna be perfectly honest
00:46:20Well, I mean it is the final task and you know
00:46:22I wasn't gonna set a walk in the park really was I the guys worked out and I'm not questioning that at all
00:46:27But I do feel like I probably made a mistake
00:46:31Structuring the team the way that I did what about our friend down the end there say you told me that
00:46:37Yeah, I mean at the end of the day he worked he worked hard
00:46:40And he got a lot of sales. And again, I said, thank you. And I mean that he did work hard
00:46:46Right. Okay, and Paul also worked hard. Yeah. Yeah, you did
00:46:50The cleverest thing you done was you picked Sharon because she's an event manager s exactly
00:46:55That's why as soon as you said events management, I wanted Sharon on my team because that's what I wanted to do event management
00:47:01Let's
00:47:05Actually look at some money now, shall we
00:47:08Margaret tell me about the money that Michelle raised on this
00:47:12Event. Yeah, well Michelle's team sold
00:47:1673 tickets raising
00:47:211,647 pounds from ticket sales and they also made a further
00:47:26250 pounds profit on the diamond auction
00:47:31total money they brought in
00:47:34Was
00:47:361,897 okay, and Nick how did Ruth's team get on well in Victor plan to sell 80 tickets in fact sell 83
00:47:46Generating sales of
00:47:483,592 pounds
00:47:50right, there's
00:47:523,592 pounds plays
00:47:551,897
00:47:57But don't let's get carried away
00:47:59This event is not just going to be judged on the amount of money you've taken I
00:48:04Think in Michelle's defense for all the problems that that were caused in the run-up to it
00:48:08There's no doubt about it that the event was a real enjoyable night for us and everyone did enjoy it
00:48:12There's no doubt about that
00:48:14Everyone had a good enjoyment and quality and perception and what I could wow factor
00:48:18I've had to go in and wow it up, you know my personal opinion. I could have been wrong
00:48:23I was only there for a half an hour in each of them
00:48:25That you're one pipped it for a little bit more quality as far as I'm concerned
00:48:30And now I want to discuss with you about the theme of your events, and I thought I'd rattled it off very quickly
00:48:38earlier in the week saying things like you know
00:48:40You could have for example a double o7 night casino night or something like that
00:48:45And that's what you did not at all for me personally as soon as you said event management
00:48:50I thought back to an invitation. I'd recently received for an event which was a bond casino event
00:48:55Sayed wrote it down as well
00:48:56And I think when we started talking about we then expanded into a diamond and we almost didn't do it because of what you'd said
00:49:02In the bottom, but it was a strong thing that was popular and it was proven that it was going to work
00:49:06And you this lot over here are telling me no they were thinking about the o07 theme before I mentioned it
00:49:12Don't don't tell me you were thinking about can can no, but I bloody told you to put again can in there
00:49:18So Alan the point for me was we wanted to do the murder mystery thing because it fitted in with a tower
00:49:22When we actually started talking to the entertainment company we then come up with a Victorian idea
00:49:26Yes, I'll admit the can-can girls you mentioned it twice
00:49:29And I said we wanted dancers not necessarily can can and there weren't traditional can-can dancers
00:49:34They're fitted in through through the theme of the roof roof roof
00:49:38Have I got a couple of antennas on my head here, and do I look like I've just come from the planet Mars
00:49:43I was on the bloody phone to you
00:49:46I said you make sure that you jazz it up a little bit for example
00:49:51I said yeah, let's have some color. Let's have some can't you got a price
00:49:54Let's have a Victorian event and all I'm saying is you'd seem to just hook straight on to my words
00:50:00right Michelle
00:50:03Your problem to me is clearly your lack of sales of tickets
00:50:07And I would have thought that as you split your team up into you know the two guys here
00:50:12All that they should be doing is spending their time selling tickets no
00:50:16In an ideal world what I would have done is I would have split the teams differently
00:50:20There is conflict in this team not just with
00:50:22Said and Sharon those are the conflicts
00:50:24But I naively thought that people might forget those conflicts and just start fresh for the sake of this task
00:50:31And you thought that you might be able to inspire them to do that
00:50:34Did you I actually thought that yeah, I just thought at the end of the day. This is the final
00:50:39I thought people would want to support me
00:50:41Want to make it work, and we'll just leave any problems that they have at the door, but in answer to your original question
00:50:46Yeah, we made a mistake in terms of selling
00:50:49We didn't have a strong enough sales strategy at the beginning, and we didn't start work on it as quick as we should
00:50:54The other team fair and square caught on to the idea of going for every single previous contact
00:51:00So yeah through the book we had to go and sell to Joe public raw people
00:51:04Literally the bulk of our tickets they run through excuse me excuse me excuse me excuse me
00:51:09The thing is you both had access to the same people that you've met well, and they beat us fair
00:51:19Or was it the fact that they preferred dealing with them than you know
00:51:25They beat us to it
00:51:33Secondly I feel that's where we could have helped Michelle a bit more
00:51:35I think from the sales point of view we lacked we caught one to it too late the whole sales approach the whole task was
00:51:41wrong
00:51:43I
00:51:48Ladies and gentlemen
00:51:49The 6x apprentices you've been very very helpful. I want to thank you once again for coming back here. Thank you
00:52:13You
00:52:28Gone through a 12-week grueling exercise. Yeah, you and you both got certain qualities two very very different characters
00:52:37I'm gonna have a chat with Nick and Margaret now you go out there take five
00:52:41And we'll call you back in all right
00:52:53Michelle is a very efficient shrewd operator true. She operates very well on her own
00:53:01I've wondered about her from the very very beginning
00:53:06There's something about her. I don't know what it is. It's a gut feeling that I have it's an instinct that I have
00:53:12Ruth get on with people she inspires from loyalty amongst her people. She's a grafter. She's a worker. I think she's loyal I
00:53:22Agree with you about roof. She's tough. You know you want to want something sold Ruth to get it so
00:53:32Well folks we've seen a lot we've done a lot just take this opportunity to thank you very much indeed for
00:53:38Everything you've done here. You've been a great help
00:53:41I'm gonna make the final decision myself on this too, okay
00:53:55Yeah, okay send the two ladies in please yes, sir
00:53:58You can go through now
00:54:10Okay, this is it girls. This is the home run really as far as I'm concerned
00:54:14You know listen to Nick and listen to Margaret heard what you've got to say. It's a very very tough one for me
00:54:24They're both very very employable as far as I'm concerned
00:54:27But I have to make a decision yeah
00:54:31Last time passion if you like has to tell me why you want to work with me
00:54:35Why do you want what why do you want to work with me? Why do you want this job for me?
00:54:38I really want this opportunity. I think that I can learn a lot from you. I think in the experiences that I've had
00:54:44I'm not vastly experienced. I'm still only quite young
00:54:47But every experience that I've had I've made the most of it everything that I do do I give a hundred and ten percent
00:54:52To I can never be accused in my opinion of slacking
00:54:55I'm very very passionate and focused and committed to what I'm doing
00:54:59And I really really think I can add value and learn a lot from you you're young
00:55:03That's not a problem as far as I'm concerned you seem to be ambitious. That's not a problem as far as I'm concerned
00:55:09That's very very good, but I want to know what I'm gonna get from you. Okay, and what you'll get from me is 110%
00:55:15Delivery back to you
00:55:17I will learn from what you teach me and I would deliver very very strongly and passionately for your businesses without a doubt
00:55:23And I'll be good resource for you
00:55:27Same question Ruth, okay. I am the apprentice for the following reasons number one. I am the all-rounder
00:55:33I've got a lot of skills. I'll increase your productivity and I'll increase your revenue
00:55:37I've got a sound foundation to build on I'm not a trainee. Okay. I'm not somebody who needs to be taught
00:55:44How to put themselves across I'm not somebody who needs to be taught how to sell
00:55:47I'm not somebody who you need to actually say this is how you manage. This is how you do this
00:55:51I've got those skills here
00:55:52What I want to give to you is basically the rest of my career in a way
00:55:57But I will come and lead your companies. I'll come and increase your productivity
00:56:00I'll come and increase your revenue while giving you the dedication and passion
00:56:04That I've proven through my career and through every task that I can give
00:56:14I
00:56:31Instinct is telling me
00:56:35Ruth you are a very tough character. You sell well, you're very determined
00:56:44Really get on with things if someone gives you the job to do, right?
00:56:49Michelle
00:56:51You're very focused
00:56:53All you've ever done in your life is work hard, right? You've become a great achiever. You're very ambitious
00:57:05But Michelle you're hired
00:57:14You
00:57:28I'm overwhelmed. I'm really really proud. I was very different. I felt a lot of the candidates
00:57:33I think I've been the quiet one, but I'm very very strong
00:57:36I might be quiet
00:57:37But I'm very strong and hopefully you know people will have watched me and seen that you don't need to be loud and cocky and
00:57:42Bullshit, just be yourself work as hard as you can and hopefully you get on in life for me as well
00:57:47This has really taught me that I am worthy of something, you know, I've worked really hard
00:57:51I've always been sure of my abilities and now for someone like sir
00:57:55Allen to recognize my ability and want me in his organization and see the value that can add it's unbelievable really really
00:58:01Unbelievable very very pleased
00:58:12Ladies and gentlemen, please. Welcome the runner-up now go easy on her as I don't think she's ever actually come second in anything before
00:58:20It's an all-new experience for her. She is of course the badger
00:58:24I
00:58:36Will be dancing in the streets of hall and the aisles of quick saves all over the country now as we rise to acclaim the
00:58:43Winner sir, Alan sugars apprentice, Michelle Dewberry, Michelle
00:58:54You
00:59:07Is it possible to describe how you feel I'm absolutely shitting myself I'm shaking
00:59:13We'll discuss your language a bit later, actually
00:59:17So, you know the final scene how does it you know, how does it feel?
00:59:21When did you think in the whole series that you could actually win this I didn't until it right at the very end
00:59:26I mean I wanted to but right until the very end. I was like, I don't know, you know, everybody's good in there
00:59:30Everyone's strong, especially this one, you know very tough competition
00:59:33So it literally wasn't until the right at the very end that he said I'd won and I actually believed it
00:59:38Is that a Richter smile? You're almost attempting there. Are you happy for happy for Michelle? I'm very happy for Michelle
00:59:44I mean at the end of the day, I know the apprentices are sitting over my shoulder
00:59:47But I do actually believe sir. Allen chose the right to
00:59:51do I think
00:59:54Could you narrow it down a bit more than just to
00:59:57Michelle but realistically we are very very different people
01:00:01Michelle has got a lot of skills that I haven't got and I possess a lot of skills that Michelle doesn't at the end of
01:00:06The day he wanted apprentice and he's got Michelle. So I wish you all the best in a new challenge
01:00:10I
01:00:17Must say I feared for you right at the beginning of this
01:00:20There were omens when it all first started if we just watch you coming down the stairs two problems
01:00:25Unusually you weren't actually first in the queue. Yeah, Michelle actually beat you to it secondly
01:00:34What's with the one sock peculiar Masonic ritual was going on
01:00:37First of all, Michelle's got a bit of a thing about getting on camera in a towel
01:00:40Yeah
01:00:40So I gotta get first and secondly the one sock thing
01:00:43I don't know
01:00:44I mean my mom's always taking the mickey out of me because I can go and put you and even when I'm trying on
01:00:47Outfits and I've always got my socks on
01:00:49So the phone rang and I was trying to get there first so I could end up one sock on as I'm coming down
01:00:53The stairs well, they look more like they belong to your dad those socks
01:00:59Is he wearing one sock now you got the other one on there
01:01:01The
01:01:04Task itself Michelle, I don't know what surrounds got in mind for you
01:01:07But hopefully it's not recruitment because your selections were peculiar to say the least. What were you? What were you thinking of?
01:01:14In hindsight, I don't know but at the time I kind of thought right
01:01:18Okay, I want to win and for me to win
01:01:20I wanted someone to help me with sales and someone that's a bit more creative than me
01:01:23So I just looked at all the people in front of me and I thought okay
01:01:26I want sales sales and I want events people and looking what I had in front of me
01:01:30I thought Paul brilliant sales guy say brilliant sales guy and Sharon excellent on the creative event side
01:01:36And I did theory it was perfect. Exactly. Yeah, I forgot about the fact that most of them didn't like me
01:01:42I didn't I didn't actually really get on with any of those two, you know all that
01:01:46Well, and am I just honestly naively thought you know what they're gonna like me and I'm gonna like them and it's all gonna be
01:01:52Great, but that wasn't the key problem. The key problem was they actually didn't get on with each other
01:01:56I mean there were there's lots of clips we could use here is our particular favorite
01:02:01Should I go in there?
01:02:05I'll be in there
01:02:11So when the smile about it now
01:02:13But when did you when did you realize there was sort of interpersonal problems between the two of them?
01:02:18The second that I said kind of side Paul and Sharon and I sat back in my chair
01:02:23I thought I sat down in my chair and I was like, oh my god
01:02:26This probably isn't gonna work and then I had flashbacks and when we're just watching the show back there
01:02:31You kind of said, you know, Michelle's got this team and they all have conflicts and then you just cut and I was like
01:02:35Oh my god. I had a fight on the boat with Paul and oh my god
01:02:38Look at them what happened between side and I'd actually forgot a lot about it and it won't until I was watching it back on
01:02:42The on the TV and I thought by me. Yeah, you handled this very well
01:02:46If you don't mind me saying so you fit you from Hall where you don't so much do controlled aggression as far as I remember
01:02:51You just go straight for more direct action, but you handled them very well here
01:02:55Let's have a look at you keeping calm smiling, but really killing them at the same time
01:03:00Well, what I'm trying to say is we have generated a lot of interest today and tomorrow
01:03:04It's a lot of wasted energy. I have also generated a lot of fucking friction. Okay, you live in
01:03:10Amazing listen
01:03:13It seems to me that you've planned this little
01:03:17Session here with your friend over there just to have a go at me because that's what's happened
01:03:20This is my colleague your colleague a little friend. I'll tell you something Michelle. I'm literally
01:03:25This much okay to actually turn around and being really really horrible
01:03:30What's it like when he's really really horrible because it was pretty horrible there say you weren't doing a bad job of it
01:03:34I had to know he didn't get there. He was nearly gonna be really really horrible
01:03:37And I don't think I avoided it Ruth you dealt with every challenge that was that was presented to you
01:03:43But this last task presented you with a job that you just weren't up to it's a big job this
01:03:49I know you're gonna say as well
01:03:52You just couldn't get them in could you
01:03:55You could not force them in try as you might but I want to know
01:03:59Somehow you did get them in. How did you manage it? Because we can see a good ansel squash him in or something
01:04:05The truth was I managed to get in a problem, but Sophie who was assisted me
01:04:12Said patch. We've got a problem and I said, what's that? She went where's your mic?
01:04:17Oh my god, and I never actually needed any tape when it comes to making it because you know
01:04:22These little puppies go very well together when you got to the the actual finale and you knew all the 12 weeks were boiling down
01:04:28to this
01:04:29Can you describe what that felt?
01:04:31Yeah
01:04:31I mean
01:04:32I've never in my career or to be fair my life ever fought so much that bloody man makes me get on my knees and
01:04:39Basically prove myself week after week. I think it's sir. Allen. You're referring. Yeah, I mean I've got there's nobody in this country
01:04:46That inspires me more than sir. Allen, you know, even though I've come second. I absolutely worship the man
01:04:52There's no, you know if but so maybe he is my inspiration in business
01:04:57You know, if I could be a quarter of what he is, then I'll be very proud when I end my career
01:05:01You'll have a chance to trump that a little bit later when you talk about sir
01:05:05Allen, but the the denouement is you approach that that crisis moment. How did that feel?
01:05:10I
01:05:11Do you know what the whole thing has just been really really surreal and I think even sitting here now
01:05:16It's still kind of not quite real. Yeah. Okay. Well, let's help you kind of relive it again
01:05:21Here's the the dying seconds if you like of this year's apprentice
01:05:27My instinct is telling me
01:05:32Ruth you are a very tough character. You sell well, you're very determined
01:05:40Really get on with things if someone gives you the job to do right
01:05:46Michelle
01:05:48You're very focused
01:05:49All you've ever done in your life is work hard, right? You've become a great achiever. You're very ambitious
01:06:02But Michelle you're hired
01:06:10When you're working with him and it's all going pear-shaped you can play that to yourself or remind yourself how happy you were
01:06:14Yeah, I remember that. Can you describe the relief at that moment?
01:06:17Do you know what we were just so tired both roof and I you know when we're sitting there and you can see that
01:06:21We're both drawn and just knackered. So it's really difficult
01:06:25Let's take a closer look at your face here Ruth because initially you initially you look pleased
01:06:29But as you turn away your eyes narrow your lips narrow and you've got I want a killer
01:06:35We've got it in slow motion so we can see it properly here
01:06:38There's a really genuine smile at first then look at your eyes narrow as you turn away happy happy happy
01:06:45Not quite
01:06:50I am genuinely genuinely happy for Michelle, but I'm absolutely gutted that I'm not working for sir Alan, right?
01:06:57Okay, here is the aforementioned sir Alan the the star of The Apprentice
01:07:02I am the most belligerent person that you could ever come across now. Let me remind you. It's a dog-eat-dog situation
01:07:09I don't need another lawyer. I've got you if that's not bad enough
01:07:12You couldn't sell a box of matches if you tried but you're very good at what you do do
01:07:16She's got spirit and I like her spirit
01:07:18You have moments of brilliance, but not too many of them to me that looks like a 1970s porno movie Debbie does Dallas
01:07:27Why shouldn't I fire you do you think he's a patsy I just don't know if you're just a bloody nutter
01:07:32You seem to have gone from anchor to wanker. Would I buy a second hand car off for you?
01:07:37No, do you think if you weren't there it would have made any difference in the chance?
01:07:41I said shut up shut up. I'm talking
01:07:48Have I got the time for this
01:07:53I'll promise you this as sure as I got hole in my bloody ass. You're off a performer. That's what I am
01:07:58He's certainly a performer. That's for sure
01:08:02Bye
01:08:05Ta-da, thanks, sir. Oh, thank for the opportunity cheeky bastard. Thank you the opportunity sir Alan sugar ladies and gentlemen
01:08:22So how hard was it this year sir Alan to make a decision very very very very tough this year
01:08:28It really really really was those those who know those who are close to me will know I was struggling and it's a terrible
01:08:36Dilemma I was in this time. I really mean that roof. I'm really doing me the two girls
01:08:40No, I was really stuck this time because you're both great people and and you know
01:08:47Last year, it was easier for me for whatever reasons, but I'm not worried about you
01:08:51I'm really not worried about you because I know that that
01:08:54You're gonna go on and you're gonna be a success you're already a success you've done it before after you've told me 20 times already
01:09:03And I'm really not worried about you and what about Michelle you seem to see there's a good all-rounder
01:09:09Well, as I said earlier on I find missed I find a very determined
01:09:14I find a very very organized and this particular job that I've got in mind requires all those skills
01:09:19Yeah, but you've pulled off a good bit of sales yourself right in the in the in the early days before we'd even noticed Ruth
01:09:26Probably some silky skills actually buying silk. I seem to recall you have the seller on the ropes here. He's so flustered
01:09:32He's tapping his calculator. I'm not I'm sure there's no batteries in it. It can't be it's happening too fast
01:09:38So what would be the best price that you could offer us today on there?
01:09:42You're 48 foot 94 now, okay, so we're starting with 48 pounds 94
01:09:46I really need to get some form of discount the best price is there any way could go down at all on that price?
01:09:51Please on that price. I can round it off to 45 pound if you're paying in cash 45. Could you do 40?
01:09:59That would make our day in court
01:10:01All right
01:10:03Remind you of yourself there at all sir Alan. Yeah, we we have to push the price down a little bit from time to time
01:10:09Okay now your skill selling skills Ruth. Did you know you were such a good sales person before you started there?
01:10:15I've never had a day's sales training in my life, and I've been in senior management for three years
01:10:22So I hadn't sold so when I was faced with the sales task, and I'm advertised as a sales manager
01:10:27I was terrified the moment I started actually getting on the road and doing it. I forgot what I loved
01:10:34Actually getting on the road and doing it I forgot what I loved you know I absolutely love selling
01:10:39I love dealing with the public and I love
01:10:41Getting a deal
01:10:42But you seem to start well and just get better and better and better and the lettings task which to a certain extent
01:10:47Defeated Syed and Paul kind of inexplicably. I mean this was you at your absolute finest here
01:10:53So in here you've got your bathroom power shower. Yeah, it's interesting
01:10:57Yeah, and obviously you got your heated tail rail. Yeah
01:11:01How did you get here?
01:11:04Okay
01:11:08He's still got your fingerprints on his
01:11:14These selling skills sir Alan you've got to stand back and admire them yeah great absolutely absolutely great and
01:11:21You know no one can dispute that I mean she's just you know in many times
01:11:25She's kind of completely overtaken the task even when she had team team leaders in that particular one
01:11:30I think she sold for the flats or something like that. I can't remember
01:11:36Actually I sold the other one
01:11:40But no it's tremendous the car sales and how many there did you sell six six
01:11:48But you know on the selling front it was it's phenomenal really
01:11:53Michelle what did what did you learn about selling from Ruth did she teach you anything, or did you learn from each other well?
01:11:58You know when you work with Ruth she's kind of often
01:12:00She's in and what I learned with Ruth is just you know let her go because you know
01:12:04She really does show you how to close a deal
01:12:06And she's got a lot of good styles a lot of different styles, and she's top saleswoman definitely
01:12:10Yeah
01:12:10But inextricably you ended up on the losing side a lot of the time without ever being taken into the boardroom
01:12:15So it must have been the others fault, but you won seven tasks, which you know isn't a bad performance tells its own story
01:12:20Yeah, I think so I mean to be honest
01:12:22I was just trying my hardest and all the tasks, and I'd actually forgotten it was seven, but yeah seven brilliant
01:12:26Yeah, sir Alan the the selling technique was rather
01:12:30It's not less forced really less less aggressive slightly than Ruth's would you think that was fair to say Michelle?
01:12:34Yeah, there are various degrees of selling and you know Ruth has got one particular style
01:12:41She's very forceful in what she wants to do and as we've seen throughout the program
01:12:45She succeeded on most occasions and your face tells a thousand stories. You know I love your face
01:12:50I know we're both from the same part of the world, but I just love your face
01:12:54Let's have a look at your face in some detail
01:12:58Not like that you cannot get that contemporary designed with kittens in well
01:13:04I'm from Wolverhampton. I'm right. You're wrong quite simple the next one. We saw it a few times. I'm just gonna kill you
01:13:12Do you like chicken no, I don't think you do pull that face when you see chicken I
01:13:20Know what you
01:13:23Don't I need to be molded as with everybody else just shut up. What are you talking about?
01:13:35That is Kathy Bates from misery that's stuck to you hasn't it that's for you Michelle
01:13:39What feedback have you had from your family? You've got most of your family here, but your nan couldn't make it could she
01:13:44No, she couldn't the feedback is merely about my language and about the fact that I never smile ever on TV never
01:13:52So mainly I have to smile more and swell less
01:13:59Is your nan watching do you think what's your nan's name Jesse Jesse listen Jesse if you're watching just press that mute button now
01:14:05I'll just look away. You won't like this
01:14:08Oh
01:14:11No, don't put that on me
01:14:15I've got my heels on great. The battery's just gone dead. You're not even listening to me Paul. Yeah
01:14:21me
01:14:23I'm sitting myself. Yeah, I think you've got the potential to absolutely kill this for me because it's me that's gonna get this
01:14:32My week's been absolutely yeah, I bleep man has got RSI in his finger
01:14:38He just couldn't make it have you got a swear box at your place right for that
01:14:45You saw 28 times in this series and we believe that is a is a record certainly for the ladies in the house
01:14:51You must be very proud. Let's speak to your mom Glynis. How would you describe your feelings towards her at this moment?
01:14:56So proud of her. She's made all the family so proud. What an achievement. Just can't believe it
01:15:02Could you see could you see Anna when she was growing up?
01:15:05She was very determined she always knew, you know, she wanted to go far in life and very ambitious and
01:15:13Whatever she achieved. She always wanted more
01:15:16Brilliant, we can speak to Ruth's dear mom now Edna. How are you? You disappointed for your your baby?
01:15:25Obviously we
01:15:27Disappointed but you know, she's a winner and didn't she pour up a hell of a fight. She don't absolutely
01:15:33Fantastic
01:15:44When you see a selling like that do you see do you see that's my little girl, I can't believe that's her well, I think
01:15:52She got a sales glint in her eye the day. She was born actually
01:15:57Did she demonstrate that? Well, you know, I mean if she could have flogged a bottle she would
01:16:03Ruth we've heard what your family and friends have got to say about you
01:16:07They've got some great memories of you growing up and everything
01:16:09Obviously, we've got some great memories of your 12-week apprenticeship, but I'm sure you I'm sure you will have to be fair
01:16:16I'm used to closing on my own. I don't need anybody
01:16:21Here I go again on my own
01:16:29Professionals we know what we do
01:16:33Everybody else want two melons for a pound
01:16:39Hello, that's a done deal. I'm on my way back to sign it up
01:16:43And this is a new contemporary quite funky
01:16:47Cosmopolitan minimalistic coat stands you tell them clearly what the facts are
01:16:56Just been removed by security
01:17:03We even put our lipstick on for him and he was mingled
01:17:08I'm in heaven now. That's magic
01:17:19Anything you've done differently in hindsight if I could turn back the clock
01:17:23I would not pull the facial expressions because right up until that minute. I'm looking at TV going. Oh, no
01:17:27Oh, oh, there it goes. And yeah, I didn't realize a friend so much
01:17:31I mean the program did change me a lot personally
01:17:33I'm a lot more chilled out now and I don't frame nowhere near as much as I've done the program
01:17:38So, you know, so how would you generally describe the experience of doing this show? Do you find it stressful? Do you enjoy it?
01:17:45Well, I would only do it
01:17:47I've always said I'm only doing it because I enjoy it
01:17:50I also hope there's a an underlying business message that we're putting out through throughout the course of the program
01:17:56What have you learned from is any particular lesson you've learned from it? Oh
01:18:00This I'm well, I know that there's six million cats in England
01:18:09Nargis listen, we apologize. We've got to go through this again. Just brace yourselves folks. Yes. This is Nargis pitching her calendar
01:18:18Did you know that there are six million cat owners in the UK alone?
01:18:25And a majority most of those actually live in London
01:18:29I didn't
01:18:31Ask me any questions, what sort of retail price do you haven't finished speaking? Sorry any questions that you have and
01:18:40Then let's talk about how many you want and what's the cost price. Do you imagine?
01:18:48So, can you not repeat the question I don't know about you but it seems to have got worse since I last saw it
01:18:53On the tube someone said to me the other day, can you just tell me how many?
01:19:01It doesn't stop
01:19:03anything annoyed you
01:19:05Anything annoyed me? Yeah. Well, I lent my plane for the mother was making a
01:19:10Movie and some bleeding gave us rubbed out the chair over there
01:19:17Yeah could have been worse he could have left something else on your chance what it
01:19:21But let's show you I'll show you this ready
01:19:26Access to 5,000 private jets within four hours notice no hidden charges. No commitment to flying hours
01:19:32Now that's magic
01:19:34Why did you laugh at a particular point?
01:19:36Just because I just thought it was funny because this is my worry these birth have walked in
01:19:41Rubbing rubbing himself off
01:19:44I don't know. I see that but it's the fact that he's moving his hand
01:20:00No hidden charges no commitment to flying hours
01:20:04Now that's magic
01:20:11By the way done, thanks for clarifying what was going on there we weren't we weren't quite sure it's funny
01:20:16You're the only one who didn't use the W word. You said rubbing himself off. You were getting quite coy about it
01:20:20Well, you know, I was trying not to swear. I think I was trying hard
01:20:26Joe how do you feel about Joe now in hindsight sir?
01:20:29Well, you know Joe we all love Joe, but she is a start raving bleeding
01:20:35Really, but she knows it but but but you know for the first couple of tasks really she's actually right
01:20:42In in a couple of things particularly, you know in the calendar thing spot-on and no one was listening to her
01:20:50Normally, you seem to enjoy pulling the trigger this time. Well, you fired once I mean did you seem to miss actually because yeah
01:20:55I think it's because she's deaf
01:20:59I don't think she heard the first time. Let's just check that out Joe's reluctant firing
01:21:03I've sat here four times in this room and there is a message coming from above Joe. You've been here too many times
01:21:11I'm sorry to say this time you are fired
01:21:14I'm sort of expecting this because I accept the fact that I've been here four times
01:21:18But I think what that demonstrates is I've got resilience. I'm a survivor
01:21:22I'm happy to go out here on the basis of like being crap
01:21:25I don't believe that I am believing it comes a time when everybody
01:21:30Everybody is saying the same thing and even me I will say, you know what?
01:21:35Give it up Alan enough's enough
01:21:38Joe
01:21:39You're fired. Can I just ask for one more time is to give me the one more last chance?
01:21:45That's it back to the house now
01:21:49It's just a look on Ansel's face
01:21:51It was too painful for him to watch Joe, you don't know when you're beaten do you
01:21:56You still believe in you could get out of this. I wasn't gonna go without a fight
01:22:00Wait, I still believe always that you should fight for what you believe in and I'm not gonna change so
01:22:06You make a good referee a good football referee because you absolutely wouldn't change your mind. You just waving them away
01:22:12Well, that's right, and she did create a few penalties and free kicks
01:22:17Business lessons you've learned. Oh
01:22:20Well this series, I think there will will be a business lesson that will go down in the archives
01:22:25I'm pretty sure that you don't buy a hundred chickens for a hundred pizzas
01:22:32This had everything I had ranking competence and an absolute all-mighty
01:22:37Row real foul-mouthed tirade from a martial arts expert as well. We need a hundred chickens
01:22:44We don't know what we're doing at the moment, so there's a hundred
01:22:48Chickens and a hundred pizza
01:22:53It's like saying when you're winning and when the shit the fan no one none of them want to know
01:22:57Just fucking tell me what needs to be done and I'll do it. All right, don't fucking dick me around
01:23:05I'm trying to do is understand where the bottleneck is and do it and then you're just saying don't fucking do that
01:23:10Don't fucking do that. I want someone here to take control and understand where the bottlenecks are and deal with it. Hey
01:23:17I'm not so I'll make a fucking decision
01:23:20Samuel I'm not kitchen manager. So I'm just can someone tell me what to fucking do
01:23:25Any swear on the shouts given on I will do it. Yeah, so let's just calm down and finish chopping the fucking pineapple
01:23:31No problem. No problem
01:23:38It's a tough job managing those boys when they started putting it about like that it was I mean I admire Alexa because you
01:23:45know she actually had
01:23:46To put the balls to go and do it
01:23:49Tell me what it's like to be on the end of an angry sir Alan in the boardroom
01:23:53You seem to cope with it better than most you smiled in a rather sort of kindly fashion at him as if he didn't quite
01:23:58Understand which annoyed him, but would you feel fear because you didn't show it?
01:24:02Not really because you just kind of zone out and he's going at you and that's all you can see and all you can hear
01:24:06Is him shouting at you and you don't kind of hear what he's saying, but you just go back at it
01:24:10And then when when you leave you kind of then think yeah actually had a good point then but you don't you don't think that's
01:24:16So it's quite well my strongest advice to you in this new job is be very careful do well
01:24:20But above all don't lose his money does if that happens. I'll tell you what he gets really really really angry
01:24:28gosh

01:24:34When did the penny drop that this was a flawed?
01:24:37Project you messed it up didn't you messed it up. I've learned a lesson so I'm definitely
01:24:42Bloody sure you've learned a lesson. There's no question. You've been in the in the restaurant business before haven't you have I've managed restaurants
01:24:48You managed to manage under Marco P white or something. There's Titanic. There's another bloody disaster. You're in now
01:24:53I'm so disappointed with a lot of you
01:24:55This is not a holiday camp here where you know doom cops come to to learn what they're aware to make mistakes brain surgeons
01:25:02I got here doomed doomed. You were doomed quite frankly. I'd like to get rid of the bleeding free of you

01:25:14Sorry, you lost it now. You learned you won't do it again. I warned you severely about this
01:25:19You have not come to the table today. You have not told me what you did. You're a very very bad manager
01:25:25You're a lightweight. You're fired
01:25:28Poor Alexa, how could you do it to that poor girl, but you're genuinely angry
01:25:32I really was really really angry there if I was allowed to change the rules
01:25:38there might have only been nine programs because
01:25:42I'll tell you that those three were on their way out that day. The irony is Michelle you've survived all this

01:25:57Well, yeah, I am definitely
01:25:59Hopefully, he's not gonna shout at me too much. Yeah, but the way you're smiling
01:26:02I'd worry about that if I was you and so is that what she can is that what she can actually expect?
01:26:09No, not at all
01:26:11You know as long as you don't get it wrong
01:26:15Michelle I think actually you've been a popular winner unless you boss down rent a crowd from home
