00:00Welcome back from the South.
00:02Journalist and TeleSurf president Patricia Villegas interviewed Bolivian President Luis
00:06Arce regarding the failed coup d'etat that rocked the South American country and the
00:11region this past week.
00:13Let's listen.
00:14There have been interests that were involved in this coup, internal, internal interests
00:24and foreign interests, as it happens in Latin America, and that form part of the history
00:29of our peoples.
00:31There are always, our natural resources are one of the most more coveted elements, especially
00:40by those who don't have them.
00:42And of course, Bolivia is one example of this.
00:46We have lived through wars because of natural war and natural resources with neighboring
00:52countries for interests that are especially foreign interests.
00:57So for us, it's been a victory of the Bolivian people on June 26.
01:04I would like to thank always the participation of the international community.
01:09If it had not been the solidarity, the immediate solidarity that we received from various countries
01:17that supported the government, democratically elected government for the Bolivian people
01:23fighting for the democracy and for this coup, this without a doubt, plus everything else,
01:29the actions that we took from the moment that we knew to quell, to stamp out this coup attempt,
01:39and the people of Bolivia mobilized without this trilogy, I see that it was very impossible
01:45for us to have won that victory on June 26 together with the people and this international
01:51cooperation.
