00:00I'm looking for big bucks. I won't be working, you will be working.
00:05Lord Sugar's on the hunt for a brand new business partner.
00:10The whole point of this is to prove that we can start a business with £250,000.
00:15This is not about chance in your arm. I want a business model, a business plan.
00:19I want someone who's going to go for it.
00:22Ready to fight for his funding, 20 aspiring entrepreneurs.
00:27This place is full of sharks. You've got a noose here around your neck.
00:31I am the judge, jury and executioner.
00:35On the table, a quarter million pound investment
00:39and a 50-50 partnership with Britain's toughest backer.
00:44Are you having a laugh? I'm telling you for the last bloody time,
00:48clean your act up and stop being a clown.
00:51Come on, girls, we can do it.
00:53It's a deal worth fighting for.
00:55That is horrendous. You're already speaking rubbish, mate.
00:58They're all covering their own backsides.
01:0120 candidates. Well done. I'm going to hug you. Yeah!
01:0512 tough weeks. I'm running this task.
01:08I am not finished talking. When I finish, you can finish.
01:12One life-changing opportunity.
01:15You're fired. You're fired.
01:17It's too little, too late. You're fired.
01:26Previously on The Apprentice...
01:29Your task, come up with your own home fragrance products.
01:34Nuran, you've got another jug there. You can get on with that.
01:37Two days to turn hot wax...
01:39Come on, Pamela, mix that wax.
01:41..into cold cash.
01:43The starting price would be £35.
01:46That seems an awful lot of money.
01:48Project manager Katie kept a close eye on costs.
01:51The scented candle and the diffuser for £52.
01:54But her pricey products...
01:56You're so bossy, stop it!
01:58..caused friction on the team.
02:00I see the pit. You're deluded, mate.
02:03Roisin landed a luxury brand...
02:05You have actually got yourself a sale.
02:07..but got her fingers burned on price.
02:09Two for £10, yeah? A sales, a sale.
02:12There's no such thing as bad profit.
02:14In the boardroom, the sweet smell of success for Katie.
02:19I've not done very well. I'm disappointed with myself.
02:22But Lindsay's fire went out.
02:24You've been treading water for the last three weeks.
02:27You're fired.
02:29And for Nuran, meltdown.
02:31There is a giant leap between small-time business
02:35into something big. You're fired.
02:38They became the fourth and fifth casualties of the boardroom.
02:42It's been a long day.
02:44They became the fourth and fifth casualties of the boardroom.
02:48Now 15 remain to fight for the chance
02:51to become Lord Sugar's business partner.
03:04Hello?
03:05Good morning.
03:06Lord Sugar would like you to meet him at Wilton's Music Hall.
03:09The cars will be outside in 20 minutes.
03:11Right, thank you.
03:14Wilton's Music Hall, 20 minutes.
03:16Oh, man.
03:22Do you mind tying it for me?
03:24Normal length, same length as yours.
03:26I don't get musical, I have to say.
03:28Sanjay's really into his musicals.
03:30Is he? Uh-huh.
03:31Play an instrument, Sanj. Upgrade four bassoon.
03:33What's a bassoon?
03:34A bassoon, it's like a massive clarinet about that big.
03:37I'm so impressed, it's unbelievable.
03:39It's absolutely perfect. Yeah?
03:41There you go.
03:45MUSIC PLAYS
03:51I think it's something to do with performance.
03:53I have done some musical theatres,
03:56but my passion really lies in film and producing documentaries.
04:00Whether or not that's going to help us, you know, I hope it will.
04:04The only trumpet I can blow is me own.
04:07I think Lord Sugar drew a great video on that one as well.
04:11The East End.
04:14MUSIC PLAYS
04:17Dating back over 150 years...
04:23..London's oldest Victorian music hall.
04:26MUSIC CONTINUES
04:41Good morning.
04:44Now, in the past, people flocked to places like this to be entertained.
04:49But nowadays, all you need is one of these
04:52to get access to a whole world of online entertainment.
04:57Celebrities, companies and everyday people
05:01are launching their own video channels.
05:04And there's serious money to be made
05:06as companies snap up the advertising opportunities
05:10that come with the most popular videos.
05:13For this task, I want you to launch your own online video channel
05:18on the world's largest video-sharing site, YouTube.
05:23For existing channels, the number of views translates into hard cash.
05:28So you lot need to think about making videos that people want to watch.
05:34Your channels will go live for more than 48 hours.
05:38And the team that gets the highest number of views wins.
05:42And in the losing team, one of you will be fired.
05:45Now, I'm going to mix the teams up a little bit.
05:48Gemma, I haven't heard much from you in the past few weeks,
05:52so I want you to step over here and join Team Summit.
05:57So, Ella Jade, your business idea is a TV production company.
06:01It's right up your alley.
06:03So you are going to be the project manager for Tenacity.
06:07And Solomon, the internet man, here you are.
06:10It's made to measure. Solomon, you are the project manager.
06:13Well, good luck. I'll see you in a few days' time.
06:16Off you go.
06:24In the last decade, online channels have become big business,
06:29featuring videos on everything from food to films.
06:34The best are viewed and shared by millions.
06:38As soon as that smartphone came out of his pocket,
06:40I knew he was going to say my name.
06:42Trying to make a video with views go viral.
06:44Very creative, it's about the idea, so very, very up for it.
06:48Teams must create their own channels, go live for over 48 hours
06:53and produce videos to attract as many views as possible.
06:57We did a great one in work for Hand Cream with two rugby players.
07:01We got a lot of hits on that.
07:03My mind is going crazy at the moment.
07:05I'm just thinking, like, entertainment, funny, do you know what I mean?
07:13YouTube headquarters.
07:16With hundreds of hours of videos uploaded each minute,
07:19first job, come up with a concept to help theirs stand out.
07:24OK, guys, we can create a signature dance style
07:27or just a little move that everyone's like, oh, that's funny.
07:30Heading up her team, business graduate Ella Jade.
07:34We need something that people like, it really just gets them, like, emotive.
07:38My strategy is to be me.
07:40I am professional, I bring a touch of class to everything that I do.
07:44I am who I am. I am Ella Jade.
07:48Ella, you have experience in this,
07:50because that's where you were picked, I'm assuming.
07:52So, experience in the actual editing and filming of it.
07:56I don't have experience in YouTube or social media.
07:59Can I just, like, fill you in on what I've done in the past?
08:02I've done loads of videos of fitness-related.
08:04I've got thousands and thousands of views.
08:06I've got experience being in front of the camera.
08:08That's so crazy to ignore.
08:09As a brand, this would be brilliant. Kate is fit in this video.
08:12Is this going to get us instant hits?
08:14I think we need to choose fitness.
08:16I was thinking something like secret ways to keep fit.
08:18Secret ways to keep fit.
08:20I was thinking, as well, how not to pump iron.
08:22How not to pump iron.
08:23How not to pump iron. Yeah.
08:25I don't know.
08:26I got an idea. Daddy fit in a week.
08:28Daddy fit in a week?
08:29I think that we have two strengths in this team,
08:31that we have a fantastic fitness instructor,
08:33and you have a fat daddy that, you know,
08:35always, always has wanted to look better.
08:38I wouldn't have to act, I would just have to be me.
08:40That's funny. I like that.
08:42The humour would have to be thoughtful.
08:44Yeah, it is quite offensive, potentially.
08:45Yeah, I wouldn't want to upset anybody.
08:47Fat daddy, fitness hell?
08:49Fat daddy, fitness hell.
08:51I think it's such a good idea, I think it's hilarious.
08:54Next door...
08:55Guys, I reckon food is the best choice.
08:57We cover a wide demographic with that.
08:59..getting a taste for leadership...
09:01I think we can get a little bit creative with it.
09:03..tech entrepreneur Solomon...
09:05My vision for our food channel is comedy, first and foremost.
09:08So you could have blindfolded food challenges,
09:10you could be trying to make something blindfolded,
09:12as long as there's no knives involved.
09:14You know, we could get really creative with that.
09:16I want to bring Lord Sugar into the 21st century
09:18by showing him what technology can do,
09:20by connecting him with the kids of today.
09:22It could be making something that looks different to how it tastes
09:25and getting really funny reactions.
09:26My first choice would be gut reactions.
09:28It's quite blunt, though, the word gut.
09:30Dare to dine or something, I don't know.
09:32Yeah, dare to dine is good.
09:33Dare to dine is good.
09:34Name fixed.
09:36Next, a face.
09:38So people who can have a laugh on camera.
09:40James, I think, would be absolutely smashing at this,
09:42and Roisin, because we need a girl to be in the video as well.
09:44And I'm sorry.
09:46I actually think I would come across very well.
09:48Because I'm quite funny, you're quite serious.
09:50Yeah.
09:51She's like the mother figure and I'm like the funny childish one, you know?
09:54I'm taking Solomon's guidance on this one.
09:56I don't know much about online video sharing.
09:59You know, this is his bag.
10:00Today, it's all about Solomon, and I'm here to listen.
10:03So we're going with Fat Daddy Fitness Help.
10:06That means that Felipe, obviously, you are going to be on camera.
10:09Katie, I'd really like you to be on screen as well.
10:12The overall vision is to get a balance
10:14between informative and entertainment.
10:16Katie, you have banter, you make people laugh,
10:18and I think you need to use that.
10:20Entertainment is the way forward in order to get as many views as possible
10:24in the quickest amount of time.
10:26In terms of filming videos, I would love to be the director on this,
10:29so obviously I'm going to do that, but I was going to do everyone first
10:31and then I'll do myself.
10:33I think that you're obviously very organised, Sarah,
10:35and what I really need from you is obviously keeping to the deadlines.
10:38I'm sure you will.
10:40Are we all happy with that?
10:42Lunchtime.
10:45Working on ways to make their food channel funny...
10:48I think that's amazing, I think we keep it humorous,
10:50we get James a lot harder, we can have Roshin as a series.
10:52Yeah, yeah. You guys play off each other.
10:54Solomon's team. You need to be making us laugh,
10:56cos if we're not laughing, then the people watching aren't going to be laughing.
10:59OK, fine. No pressure.
11:01We'll give it a go, won't we? Yeah, let's do it, let's do it.
11:03We can get some energy. Get your top off, James.
11:05At least don't go viral, don't blame the body.
11:08Camera's now rolling.
11:10Hi, everybody, I'm Roshin,
11:12and I'm retiring co-host James.
11:14James. James.
11:16I don't know about you guys, but she's boring.
11:18I think we need more props. OK.
11:20And I think we need to do more puns, like how quick can you eat a chicken?
11:23James, tell everybody how long does it take for you to eat a chicken?
11:26Two seconds. And two?
11:28Two seconds.
11:31James was picked to be one of the presenters
11:34because he can act the idiot.
11:36There's going to be a lot of crazy things happening, you know?
11:39We're going to be flipping them, tossing them, speed-eating them.
11:42We're going to be going out there to you guys in the public.
11:45Was it meant to be funny? Absolutely.
11:47But would anybody else think it funny?
11:50Dare to dine!
11:52And, James, go and put some clothes on. No, worry about it.
11:54Right, guys, that's a wrap. Well done.
11:56Excellent. That was good.
11:58A lot of energy, guys. OK, three, two, one, action.
12:00Fat daddy, big daddy, fat daddy, big daddy...
12:02Down the corridor.
12:04..eight, seven, six...
12:05While fat daddy Felipe gets put through his paces...
12:08Woo!
12:09As an opening shot, I'd have them like that.
12:11When they're talking, I'd have them speaking individually and focused in on them.
12:14Hang on, I think we need to decide who's director and who's...
12:17Oh, yeah, no, sorry, I just... Right.
12:19..and fighting her corner... Action.
12:21..director Ella Jade.
12:23Can you say, like, I'm a fat daddy? Can you just start by saying that, yeah?
12:26I am Felipe and I'm a fat daddy.
12:28I know it's acting and everything, but really go for it.
12:31No, emphasise, like, I'm a fat daddy, like...
12:36Just as a suggestion, Ella,
12:38do you want to have Felipe introduce why he's doing this first?
12:41When it says, come join me and watch our journey,
12:44then come back out again. Yeah, that's fine.
12:46I'm just obviously starting out, so let's just start from the beginning.
12:49Considering this is Ella Jade's area,
12:52I am somewhat surprised that she doesn't know an awful lot
12:56about what she's doing. Really relatable, really personal.
12:59I'm the fat daddy, like, as in, like, I'm your fat friend.
13:01Do you see what I mean? Like, something, yeah, approachable, approachable.
13:04Nothing holds substance or a clear vision
13:07of where we're going or what we're doing.
13:09Let's do it, let's do it, I don't care, just do it.
13:11Star John, Star John, Star John. Keep going.
13:14I'm feeling extremely concerned.
13:182.30.
13:21Tonight, both channels go live across the globe.
13:27Action. So I'm a food artist.
13:30Cooking up another comedy video.
13:32Oh! James.
13:34Solomon's team.
13:36Do the tea thing and a bit more energy. OK. Passion, energy.
13:39Right, ready? OK.
13:41There's various sides to my personality.
13:43In professional environments, I can be very serious,
13:45I can be very professional.
13:47HE GROWLS
13:49Oh, my goodness.
13:50In this situation, my job is to be the face of the channel,
13:53have a laugh, have a joke.
13:55My job is to make something comic, funny.
13:58Go on!
14:00Right, that's good, he looks ready.
14:02So, you know, I'll turn it on when I need to.
14:04Right, are you all right? Right, ready?
14:06OK, cut. That was good, that was good.
14:08Fab, good stuff.
14:09At headquarters...
14:11So, what I'm thinking, you've just got the man, the burger,
14:14and the bicep.
14:15..designing the look of their channel.
14:18This is a man who likes burgers, but he wants to get fit.
14:21Half of Ella Jade's team, led by Lauren.
14:24We're in the middle of the year of having our little character
14:27of Felipe going from fat to thin,
14:30so he starts off as the chubby character.
14:32Something that came into my head, having a fat person saying,
14:35Fat Dad, I'm Fat Dad, watch us and get into us.
14:38I can imagine people getting offended by that.
14:40What about it would be offensive, Daniel?
14:42If I was to go and get fit, I wouldn't watch a video saying Fat Dad
14:45if I actually so consciously thought of myself as a fat dad.
14:48That's the problem you've got with the concept.
14:50We've already settled on it.
14:52We've already come up with a name.
14:54But we are where we are with it.
14:56I don't know if it's going to be offensive, but I'm not a big fan.
15:01East London.
15:03I'm Fat Daddy.
15:06Oh!
15:08I didn't...
15:10I didn't say it!
15:12Fat Daddy, you've got to win this one, you're losing 2-0.
15:14Come on, up!
15:15Shooting their second video.
15:17Come on, Fat Daddy, burn that fat.
15:19Get up, Fat Eight, let's go!
15:21OK, three, two, one, action.
15:23I'm Joe Wicks, the body coach.
15:25Let's turn that belly into a set of abs, eh?
15:28That was good.
15:30They had a really clear vision this morning.
15:32Felipe's the Fat Daddy.
15:34Look at me, I can't get fit.
15:36It will be funny, it will be entertaining and informative.
15:39Come on, up! Get up, Fat Eight, let's go!
15:41It actually feels quite cruel watching it.
15:43I think they've really missed the mark on this one.
15:46I think we know the winner of this workout is Katie.
15:49Katie.
15:50Well done, Felipe, good try.
15:52That's why you're Fat Daddy.
15:56Across town...
15:58Hi there, little machine.
16:00..for Lauren, an online date.
16:03We're certainly in the UK, we're the biggest fitness channel.
16:06Tomorrow, teams must make one final video,
16:09and pairing up with YouTube stars...
16:12The top video we had views-wise was funny things that happen in a gym.
16:15..can help to hike up hits.
16:18Last time we checked, it was heading up towards the half-a-million point.
16:21We'd really like to go with you if you're willing to work with us.
16:24Virtual high-fives to that, Fat Eight.
16:28How are you? Good afternoon.
16:30..also looking for the perfect online partner, Mark and the girls.
16:34So what's your sort of target audience?
16:36Who generally watches your videos?
16:38My main target audience is people like myself that couldn't really cook.
16:43First, culinary sensation Barry Lewis.
16:46When did you post your last video?
16:48Yesterday. Yesterday?
16:50How many views has it had since posted?
16:52It's had 3,000 overnight.
16:54Wow. Thank you very much for your time.
16:56Thanks for having me. Bye!
16:58He's a great fella. He's in cooking.
17:01I think he fits quite well with what we're doing.
17:04Next, 19-year-old blogger Ollie White.
17:08So my audience is pretty much 90% girls.
17:11Ages are anywhere between sort of 14 to 19.
17:14The lifetime I've had on YouTube, which is about a year,
17:16I've had 12.5 million views.
17:18Wow. Thank you for taking our call, Ollie.
17:20We really appreciate your time. No worries. Thank you.
17:22Thank you. Bye. Bye.
17:24Hi, guys. How's it going?
17:25Now, we've got a big decision here.
17:27There's a big fork in the road.
17:29Ollie is a very young guy.
17:31He has 90% female audience.
17:34Girls age between 14 and 19.
17:37And he has 1.5 million views.
17:40Per calendar month.
17:41And in comparison, we're looking at Barry.
17:43Yeah.
17:44He only has 70,000 subscribers.
17:46But Barry is a credible person.
17:48If you asked us all about our gut feeling,
17:50we would have said Barry.
17:51You know, it's a cooking business.
17:53He's current and he's food.
17:55My gut reaction to this and based on these facts is Ollie White.
17:58We need to go for views and I can't argue with 1.5 million views per month.
18:02I want you to go with Ollie White 100% on this.
18:05Solomon said, Ollie's the guy. I'm not hearing any more.
18:08Call falls on his head now.
18:10I didn't want to have to make that decision. It was a big one.
18:146 o'clock.
18:16Just two hours till the channels go live.
18:19I'm James Guyce.
18:21This is a really new, exciting channel.
18:23For Dare to Dine, finishing touches.
18:26James really showed off, of course.
18:29Hi, guys. My name is Felipe and I'm a fat daddy.
18:33Running behind...
18:35There's no comedy here whatsoever anymore.
18:38..fat daddy.
18:40We've gone with it now, so we'll do the best to make what we've got funny.
18:43I've, like, two minutes left.
18:45We need to get it down quick.
18:47So you want this jingle at the beginning, yeah? Yeah.
18:49At the same point, Sarah, we've got to get it right.
18:51Well, of course, but, you know, don't blaze in.
18:54I don't like to lay blame on anyone,
18:56but there's one person here that's just only got one job
18:59and that's to keep with the times, that's Sarah.
19:01Sarah, you're in charge of timings. What's the deadline?
19:03Well, I have been telling you for the whole time.
19:05To me, she's a passenger. I don't know if she can do anything else.
19:08Don't put the blame on me.
19:13Next door...
19:15We need to literally tempt them with this title.
19:17..to help people find their films...
19:19Dare to Dine!
19:21..for Mark and the girls,
19:23catchy names...
19:24We have to have Dare to Dine in it.
19:26..and dynamic descriptions.
19:28Have you ever eaten a glass of Taste of Lemons?
19:30Have you ever... Yeah.
19:32..eaten a brick that tasted of chocolate?
19:34Guys, we're uploading the video now.
19:36It's online right now. Done.
19:38Yay! We have lift-off.
19:40First video's uploaded.
19:43Both channels are now live.
19:47Hi, Lauren.
19:48Have you guys come up with a name for the trailer?
19:53Nope.
19:55And what description did you use?
19:58What? The wording we used in it?
20:01Does that mean you submitted it without a description?
20:05Yeah, it was something that, in terms of when we were going to,
20:08it was something that we hadn't picked up on.
20:11I think I asked Lauren if we needed to change the name.
20:14Yeah. That was under that impression.
20:16That conversation didn't happen, Sarah.
20:18Sarah, do you know what, like, stop passing the blame,
20:20to be honest with you. I'm doing the timings.
20:22I mean, I've been doing the timings the whole time.
20:24I hope it's not going to be blamed on me.
20:26I'm not the project manager here.
20:28Guys, OK, look, I'm not very happy, to be honest,
20:31but we need to move on, OK?
20:34Lauren's sub-team was sent out to edit the video,
20:37but when you upload it, it needs to have a description
20:40and it needs a name, but they haven't done that.
20:42We completely see your point and there's been an omission made on our part
20:45and obviously we're really sorry about that.
20:50This is a fundamental error.
20:54It's not looking fabulous at the moment.
21:07The teams have now been live for 12 hours.
21:10For the teams, a chance to view their videos.
21:14The moment of truth. Let's see what you've got.
21:17Oh!
21:19Dairy foods, crazy reactions.
21:21That's good.
21:23I love that.
21:26OK, so this is what this week's episode is all about.
21:29Things are not always what they seem.
21:32Project manager, Sullivan, injected into them his own enthusiasm
21:37and his own, frankly, young sense of humour.
21:44They all think it's terribly funny.
21:46They may do. They've created this thing.
21:49But millions have got to find it funny,
21:52not just the odd nutcase.
21:55Well done, guys, well done. That was really good.
22:00Well done, guys.
22:02Down the hall...
22:04I am Felipe and I'm Fat Daddy.
22:07Fat Daddy's fitness hell.
22:10Guys, we're going to start off with a little warm-up.
22:12We're going to do a little bit of juggling on the spot, OK?
22:14I can feel my belly gently. Don't worry, we're going to burn that off.
22:17Lift your knees up to the chest. Come on, two reps, let's go.
22:20And what muscle groups does this work properly in?
22:22It's great for working your chest, your triceps,
22:24it works your core as well.
22:26Right, and that's why you're Fat Daddy.
22:28I actually don't think that's too bad.
22:32I think it's very middle of the road.
22:35There's no, this is hilarious, this is really funny,
22:38or this is really serious and it's actually going to help a consumer
22:41or a viewer. I'm extremely concerned.
22:45I think when you're a project manager,
22:47it's very easy for someone or everyone in the team
22:50to suddenly put the blame on you as soon as something goes wrong.
22:55Today, the teams will make one more video,
22:58collaborating with online stars.
23:01Gemma, towards the ending, I want Oli to induce our brand,
23:04so I, hi, I'm Oli, why, and I've dared to dine, high energy.
23:08It needs somebody who can direct from behind the camera
23:11in, like, really clear direction.
23:13Yeah, I think I'll do a good job.
23:15I am passionate about whatever we come up with,
23:17because, you know, you have to be.
23:19OK, so, Pamela, you're going to go and do the collaborative video,
23:22so trust in your hands.
23:24While half look after the final film,
23:27the rest will pitch for promotion from a news and entertainment site.
23:31Is there anyone who's really confident in pitching
23:34and really wants to have a go?
23:36Well, if I had the opportunity of pitching Fat Daddy Fitness Hell,
23:39I would say, you know what, in this day and age,
23:41being fit is so much more than just what's on the outside,
23:44it's an inner journey as well.
23:45Obviously, Fasim, you're very keen to pitch, so...
23:48What would you like me to do?
23:51In a way, maybe...
23:56I just feel that I'm not actually being included a lot here.
23:59I do feel that I'm being excluded from a lot of the involvement,
24:03which makes me question why.
24:05So can I take some questions and answers?
24:07Yes, obviously, you know, I think questions and answers,
24:10we all need to pitch in. Yeah, let's all do that.
24:12Is there anyone who's, like, obviously very keen
24:15to take a role in the questions and answers?
24:17I would quite like to. OK, fine.
24:19I don't feel my skills are being recognised in this task.
24:22I don't know if she feels threatened by me or something,
24:24but I'm taking it quite personally.
24:30This is where we win or lose, it doesn't matter about the product,
24:33it's about how many people see it now.
24:42This is so important for us, because this is the one
24:45that's going to get us the amplification,
24:47on entertainment and light-heartedness
24:49and pranks and challenges,
24:51all fits with our exact unique selling point.
24:54Nice to meet you. I'm Solomon.
24:56Tom. Tom, nice to meet you.
24:58With over four million visitors a day,
25:00securing their support could take a video viral.
25:04So you're probably thinking, what is Dare to Dine?
25:07Now, it's a concept that we've come up with
25:09where we're really bringing some fun into the kitchen.
25:12Dare to Dine.
25:13Daring foods, crazy reactions.
25:17Hi, everybody, and welcome to Dare to Dine.
25:19I'm Roshin, and this is my shy and retiring co-host, James.
25:23James.
25:24Sorry, guys, you can obviously imagine she's that boring.
25:27Tell everybody, how long does it take for you to eat a chicken?
25:30Two seconds.
25:31We've positioned our videos in the channel
25:33as a sort of 18 to 30 age demographic.
25:36That's where we see our core audience sitting.
25:42And we're trying to invite the audience to really engage with us
25:45in this Dare to Dine.
25:46I'm Roshin. I'm James.
25:48And we dare you to dine!
25:50I think it looks great.
25:51I mean, I think you've gone about things the right way.
25:53The question I would have is that I think your audience
25:55is probably younger than you're imagining,
25:57aged eight to ten, maybe.
25:59I found the whole chicken and the wacky sidekick
26:02a little bit too much.
26:04I didn't really find it that funny.
26:06For some, it's entertaining. For some, it probably isn't.
26:08I think for us, we are finding our feet with this brand.
26:10You know, every episode is going to be different.
26:12It's not just going to be James or Roshin
26:14because we want as many comments on the videos, as many shares
26:16and, ultimately, as many views as we can.
26:18And now, the final push.
26:20We'd love to be featured on your site.
26:22We'll let you know.
26:23Perfect. Thanks so much, guys.
26:28I think we pitched well. I think we've got to...
26:30Just hope for the best. Just hope for the best.
26:32The guy on the left, I managed to read what he was writing
26:35and he wrote, Kill James.
26:37Kill James.
26:40Ah! Oh!
26:42Oh, sorry. OK, that's it.
26:44Go!
26:45In South London...
26:47He's gone, he's already well into his banana.
26:49..another helping of Dare To Die.
26:52He's nearly finished the banana. He's nearly finished the banana.
26:55With collaborator Oli White.
26:59We have a winner! We have a winner!
27:05Getting Oli on site is very, very important.
27:07He has a lot of viewers, a lot of fans.
27:09Do you know what? Oli will appreciate whatever you can do
27:11in terms of, like, social media and giving it a big push for us.
27:14We'd love you to share it, you know, multiple times a day,
27:16if you possibly could, cos you've got a fantastic reach.
27:18My job was to sort of manage the situation with Oli
27:21and hopefully it'll be my chance to shine.
27:23I think what we've recorded so far has been really fun.
27:25I can definitely tweet it out and put it on my social media.
27:29A lot of people will like it.
27:31Thank you so much.
27:34Lunchtime.
27:36Fat Daddy's final film shoot.
27:39Fat Daddy, my old friend.
27:41I'm going to scare her, guys. You look too big.
27:43Calling the shots.
27:45Three, two, one.
27:47Newly appointed director, Pamela.
27:51That was awesome! Well done!
27:53I didn't get to see it!
27:55Brilliant.
27:56Right, Jon and Leon, what we're going to do now
27:58is we're going to get the two of you in shot with Philippe.
28:01We're going to get them walking into shot.
28:03Pamela makes a much better director than Ella Jade.
28:06Run away with this, guys. Run after him, OK?
28:09She knew what she wanted and I think she's done a really good job.
28:13LAUGHTER
28:14Hold on.
28:16That's brilliant, guys! Brilliant!
28:18That was great!
28:22Central London.
28:25In a 100-mile journey, the most important step is the first step.
28:29And nowhere is that most true
28:31when it comes to getting fit and staying fit.
28:35Perfecting his pitch, Stephen.
28:38That's going to inspire people and inspiring people is key
28:42to having viewers and entertaining,
28:45keeping them watching and entertained,
28:48as well as ensuring that we have people watching our channel
28:51and learning and laugh along the way.
28:55In a 100-mile journey, the most important step is that first step.
28:59And nowhere is that more true
29:01than when it comes to getting in shape and staying that way.
29:05In the Battle of the Bulge, humour is key
29:07to really get that message across that, you know what, there is hope.
29:11And really, you know, as you'll further see,
29:15we're going to have all our viewers rolling on the floor laughing
29:19during each time they view our videos.
29:22But that's not... Entertainment won't be the only key.
29:26We're going to be, along with being very entertaining,
29:29we're going to be extremely informative.
29:32A dad's epic journey from fat to fit.
29:37Hi, guys. My name is Felipe and I'm a fat daddy.
29:41I'm 34 and I'm really fat.
29:43I don't like going swimming or doing anything.
29:45I'm Joe Wicks, the body coach.
29:47And I'm going to be putting Katie and this little fat daddy through a workout.
29:50Come on, fat daddy, get up, let's do it.
29:52Last few reps, let's do three more reps, coming up, you get?
29:55Felipe, how many? Five. Right, and that's why you're Fat Daddy.
29:58Hello. And do you have any questions?
30:00I do feel really sorry for poor Fat Dad.
30:03I feel like we're laughing at Fat Daddy as opposed to with him.
30:07I feel it's a little bit unkind.
30:09He's talking about himself being fat.
30:11He's not actually talking about anyone else.
30:13So I think it's trying to sort of joke...
30:15The joke's more on him personally rather than pulling in the viewer
30:19and saying, you know, you're the one with the problem.
30:21And this is the only starting point. I mean, we have fat daddies now.
30:24We could have fat friends, we could have fat... You know, really play on that.
30:27I don't think I would share it up on an overweight friends page
30:31to say, hey, look, this is you, lol.
30:33That's why we highlighted the comedy aspect of it,
30:35to try and make it a bit easier to go out there and, you know, exercise and have fun.
30:39You know, cos that's what it's about, having fun, exercising, having fun.
30:43Any more questions?
30:47Erm...
30:49I think... No, I think that kind of covers everything I've made as a note.
30:54Thank you very, very much. Let's go.
30:56Thank you.
31:01I genuinely believe they like the concept.
31:04Our only problem could be the offensive part.
31:07OK, it might be offensive, having said that, but it's a talking point.
31:11And if it's a talking point, people will share it.
31:13At the end of the day, business, you take risks,
31:15maybe we took a bit of a risk, hopefully it will pay off.
31:19Final films uploaded.
31:22Channels complete.
31:25The countdown to the boardroom has begun.
31:31Time to find out if the pitches to the website paid off.
31:35It's a little bit mysterious.
31:38A mention can boost views.
31:40A recommendation could send videos viral.
31:44It's not one, is it?
31:46No, it's not there, is it?
31:48Oh, dear.
31:53There's nothing there. There's nothing there, guys.
31:56It's really gutting.
31:58I presumed we knew who we were pitching to, and we knew what they'd like.
32:02That's why we've built and designed what we did.
32:0834% of the views were positive.
32:1234 hours remain.
32:15While the channels stay live, there's nothing more the teams can do.
32:36I'm pretty disappointed, to be honest with you.
32:38We've not won the pitch.
32:40In my eyes, that was the biggest part of the task.
32:42We've all took someone's lead.
32:44He convinced us it was going to be the right move,
32:46and we're sat here now with winning nothing.
32:50I don't feel I have let my team down.
32:52I had a vision. I carried it out.
32:54I think we've got a great collaborator that I picked.
32:56We've got great content. It is funny.
32:58And also, I've done everything I can to get as many views as possible.
33:05I am confident of winning this.
33:07Sometimes in business, you have to take risks.
33:09We needed something a bit different, a bit out there, a bit unique.
33:11I just hope that pays off in terms of the number of views that we get.
33:16Considering this is the area of business that Ella Jade wants to go into business with Lord Sugar with,
33:20I wouldn't invest £250,000.
33:23It was just a bit of a panic and a rush.
33:25She didn't want to take anybody else's opinions on board,
33:28and she just fell down a big hole because of that.
33:40You can go through to the boardroom now.
34:00Good morning. Good morning, Lord Sugar.
34:04Well, this is a 21st-century task.
34:08You're all young people, so this should be right up your alley.
34:12I chose you, Solomon, as the team leader.
34:16Yeah.
34:17You're right in your comfort zone on this, yeah?
34:20Perhaps we'll start off with having a look at what you produced.
34:25Dare to dine.
34:26Daring foods. Crazy reactions.
34:29Cherimoy.
34:30We are going to bring you challenges, like speed eating contests.
34:33We are bringing you edible art,
34:35like have you ever eaten a tooth that tastes like chocolate?
34:41Three, two, one.
34:44I'm Ollie White and I dare to dine.
34:46Please follow us, share online.
34:48I'm Roisin.
34:49I'm James.
34:50And we dare you to dine.
34:55Well, I suppose this is targeted at some young audience,
34:59and that was supposed to be funny.
35:01James, you know, when you sent your CV in,
35:04you said that you've got no qualifications.
35:08You got your first qualification
35:10because you come across as a grade A pillar.
35:12I think my role was to be the tough one, that was my direction.
35:15Quite funny. I talk for the team, Lord Sugar.
35:17Yeah, it's all for the team, yeah.
35:19Tell me, this name, dare to dine, how did we come about this name?
35:24That was my suggestion, Lord Sugar.
35:26Ah, you have done something then, Gemma.
35:28Yeah, I've definitely done something.
35:30Hello. Hi.
35:31This is fourth week and I haven't heard your name mentioned once.
35:34So tell me about the collaborators that you chose.
35:38That was Mark's team.
35:39It was a big business decision because I was just concerned
35:42with the business school pitching it to how they'd react
35:45for a cooking show to be led by a 19-year-old prankster.
35:48Bianca clearly gave me the stats on both
35:50and I made a very quick decision to go with 100% Ollie White.
35:53He gets 12.5 million in terms of views, overall total.
35:56I think you used the terminology as follow the numbers, didn't you?
35:59Yeah, and then Ollie White had shared it on his social media site.
36:03That was good, very, very good, because that's how these things work.
36:06Now, the final bit of the jigsaw puzzle here,
36:10you went and spoke to these people, Buzzfeed,
36:13with the sole purpose of showing them what you had
36:16and hopefully that they would publicise it for you.
36:19Didn't go down too well, to be fair.
36:21They said that we'd sort of misjudged the audience we were pitching it to.
36:25They, in fact, thought it was going to be a younger audience
36:28and that it was too jokey and mucking about for their audiences.
36:31Um, generally speaking then, team,
36:34how did you think young Solomon did here?
36:37I thought he was a good project manager.
36:39I think he had a clear vision that he engaged everyone to work towards.
36:42Right, let's move on to team Tenacity.
36:45Let's have a look at what you produced.
36:47A dad's epic journey from fat to fit.
36:52Fat daddy, fit daddy, fat daddy, fit daddy,
36:54fit daddy, fat daddy, fat daddy.
36:56If you're a fat daddy and want results just like Philippe here,
36:59come and join us for this fantastic workout.
37:01Come on, Philippe, my butt rests.
37:03Ah, my buggy's here.
37:05One, and rest. Good, Philippe, how many?
37:07Five. Right, and that's why you're a fat daddy.
37:09Fat daddy, my old friend.
37:11So this has been Fat Daddy Fitness Hell.
37:13We've been the Lean Machines.
37:15Let's get Fat Daddy viral by sharing this video.
37:18Fat Daddy's Fitness Hell.
37:21The first thing that comes to mind there is that, Philippe,
37:24you're about as fat as James is funny.
37:27The only positive thing out of this
37:29is that it's always nice to see a lawyer tortured, really.
37:33Now, Ella Jade, I chose you as the team leader.
37:37Perhaps you could summarise why Fat Daddy.
37:41Fitness really came up as something
37:43that you could really get something funny out of it.
37:45Obviously, Katie has a video-sharing channel which involves fitness.
37:49My experience of online videos, people like to see a journey
37:53and they like to relate to someone who they feel is like them,
37:56so people can put themselves in perhaps Philippe's shoes
38:00and they can relate to them but with a tasteful comedy undertone.
38:04I get from this an attempt at comedy
38:08but an attempt at being serious also.
38:11Bit of a mish-mash, really.
38:13We were all in agreement that we didn't feel like
38:15we'd hit the comedy element of it,
38:17so we wanted to emphasise when we got to collaborating with somebody,
38:20a bit more humour, a bit more banter,
38:22a bit more something that might go viral
38:24rather than just educational and informative.
38:27And what was the view numbers?
38:29We know, Ollie, 12.5 million Lean Machine.
38:325.6 million.
38:34OK, moving on to the digital news people.
38:38I think it was a hard sell.
38:40I think that we were constantly trying to persuade them of the concept.
38:45I introduced the concept by saying,
38:47you know, the hardest part of a 100-mile journey is the first step
38:51and that's what I started with my introduction,
38:53bringing that on and bringing the passion forward.
38:57Being honest, Lord Sugar, there wasn't much content to his words.
39:00It felt like it just went on, it was rambling.
39:02That's not true, LJ, that's not true.
39:05It was a hard sell because the good news is, for them,
39:08they didn't give you any backing either.
39:10They felt that poking fun at someone who's fat
39:13was not really a good thing to do and it weren't that funny.
39:18Ella Jade, how was she as your project manager?
39:21No decisiveness, no leadership.
39:23The first video, for me, I cringed the whole way through it.
39:28Enough discussion on this,
39:30let's see what happened as far as the views were concerned.
39:34BELL RINGS
39:38Nick, tell me how many views Summit got.
39:433,532 views.
39:48Good. And Karen, how did tenacity do?
39:52Not as well.
39:553,314 views.
39:59EXPLOSION
40:02Oh, well, there's your first win, Summit.
40:05Well, a treat.
40:07You're off to one of the natural wonders of the world
40:11to bathe in the volcanic waters of the Icelandic Blue Lagoon.
40:18So you're on your way to Reykjavik.
40:21Thank you.
40:28LAUGHTER
40:35I'll see you back in this boardroom shortly
40:38and we'll decide which of you will be remaining in the process.
40:42BELL RINGS
41:05When they announced the treat in the boardroom,
41:07the other team's faces, they were fuming.
41:10Imagine if they could see us now.
41:15I'm so, so happy we won.
41:17So here's to our first victory as Summit.
41:20CHEERING
41:24Hasn't had a wee yet.
41:26LAUGHTER
41:35It was a little bit offensive.
41:37It might have been that offensive because...
41:39We got 3,000... 3,000-and-odd people viewed it.
41:42Viral videos are either extremely hilarious or they're informative.
41:47We was in a grey area.
41:48As soon as something goes wrong, Pamela,
41:50you're very quick to pass the blame.
41:52There was strategy, there was organisation.
41:55I was on the ball all the time.
41:57When I called at the end of the day to ask,
42:00have you done the description and the name, you guys hadn't.
42:03No-one seemed to understand that you even had to do that.
42:06Obviously, Sarah, you were in charge of times.
42:08Sarah and Stephen, throughout this task,
42:10I didn't really know what your contribution was.
42:12Ella, I did contribute to this task.
42:14If Ella Jay took me back to the final three,
42:16I'm going to highlight every single fault she has actually made
42:19and she's going to look like a fool, not me.
42:36PHONE RINGS
42:40Yes, Lord Sugar?
42:41Can you send the candidates in, please?
42:43Yes, Lord Sugar.
42:46You can go through to the boardroom now.
43:07Now, Ella Jay, I chose the project manager here
43:12because your business idea is a TV production company.
43:16Absolutely, Lord Sugar.
43:18It's an industry that I have been extremely passionate from a young age,
43:22but I've never done anything concerning uploading videos,
43:25I don't have a channel of my own,
43:27so I'm not 100% expertise in that field of what goes viral very quickly.
43:31The mere fact that you've never uploaded videos before is irrelevant.
43:35You can't get much closer to what this task was about.
43:39Now, can you tell me, was this supposed to be funny
43:43or was it supposed to be informative?
43:46The essence that we came up with was obviously Felipe's idea
43:49of Fat Daddy's Fitness Hell
43:51and from that, the essence of comedy and entertainment.
43:54OK, so Fat Daddy's Fitness Hell, there's scope for comedy there, OK?
44:00So the first filming that goes on,
44:03surely, whoever was in charge of filming
44:06didn't start off in a kind of very comedic manner, did they?
44:10Obviously, the essence was supposed to be funny
44:12and we were trying to utilise the essence of Felipe's wittiness
44:16and Katie's relationship with him.
44:18Is that what we agreed to do?
44:20This is where we went wrong.
44:21We were all coming at it from different angles,
44:23so I was imparting my experience.
44:25Other people were coming in from more of a comedic angle
44:28and there was nothing that brought us together
44:30and put us all on the same page.
44:32I was pushing the entertainment side throughout that.
44:34It didn't really push anything. It didn't push anything, Ella Jade.
44:37That's not true. You cannot say that.
44:39I was saying to the personal trainer...
44:41You went into that personal trainer and you did not brief him at all.
44:45Yes, I did.
44:46The leadership lacked from the very beginning of this task.
44:49I was in the sub-team that went to film on day two
44:51with the collaborators
44:52and we put more emphasis on the comedic value,
44:55on trying to make it viral,
44:56on trying to make it something that was shareable.
44:58It didn't work, did it?
44:59I can tell you that it was because of the collaborator on the other team
45:03that they came in with a victory, OK?
45:05They were the big numbers there.
45:07Your collaboration video actually got 819 views,
45:12which is exactly half of what the other team got.
45:15Half.
45:16I mean, you say going viral,
45:18the only way you lot are going viral
45:20is if you kiss someone with a bloody flu.
45:22No, Trigger, I wanted to say that during the brainstorm,
45:25I said that a really good way to make the video channel funny
45:29would be doing exercises in completely the wrong way.
45:32I told you that.
45:33Do you think you were ignored across this task, Stephen?
45:36During this task, I gave 110%.
45:38That's not what I asked.
45:39I feel so.
45:41Now, you know when you go and see a video online,
45:45you read a little synopsis of what it's all about
45:47and it makes you decide whether you're going to click on it or not?
45:50You didn't have one.
45:51I called them up and apparently they completely forgot.
45:53They didn't even know they needed to do it.
45:55Who completely forgot?
45:56It was Sarah because she was skipping the time.
45:59Why am I always to blame for everything?
46:01I'm sorry, I don't agree with you.
46:03I'm not the sub-team leader, Lauren is.
46:05I've got your CV here.
46:08One of the things here was when you were a hypnotherapist, for example,
46:12most of your clients came to see you to lose weight.
46:16Yeah, exactly.
46:17Yeah, and gain confidence.
46:19You should have been able to give some input.
46:21Exactly, I wanted to, Lord Shepherd.
46:23Apart from your other claims to fame with what you did as a hypnotherapist,
46:26helping clients quit smoking, erectile dysfunction.
46:32Don't look her in the eyes, Nick.
46:34What was you doing on this task, Sarah?
46:36I didn't really have much say in anything.
46:38Every time I raised my voice and asked to do something, it wasn't allowed.
46:41I just feel that my opinion has not been listened to.
46:43Why don't they listen to you?
46:44Don't you get the message to you somewhere?
46:46I'm trying.
46:47It has been quite hard to take you seriously at times, Sarah,
46:50when you started this process by telling us that your sales strategy
46:54was going to be for us to put lipstick on and wear short skirts.
47:00All right, Ella Jade, who are you bringing back into this boardroom?
47:08Well, sugar, I am bringing back Sarah...
47:12..and Stephen.
47:14That's completely wrong, because you're making the wrong decision yet again.
47:18Stephen, Stephen, you'll have ample time to talk about it, OK?
47:22The rest of you, go back to the house.
47:34Get ready to defend your position in this process.
47:39Off you go.
47:49Do you know Ella Jade?
47:52She can talk, OK, and she's highly educated,
47:55and I wonder whether she's ever actually done a day's work in her life.
47:59And Stephen, well, what is it about him?
48:02People ignore him, because it's actually far easier to ignore Stephen
48:06than to spend so long listening to him get to the point.
48:09Yeah.
48:10Quite clearly in the whole team, they've got it in for Sarah.
48:13When she pipes up, people tell her to pipe down.
48:16The question is, does she actually have anything worthwhile to say?
48:22PHONE RINGS
48:24Yes, Lord Sugar. Can you send the three of them in, please?
48:27Yes, Lord Sugar. Lord Sugar will see you now.
48:39Ella Jade, you haven't worked, really.
48:42Have you ever had a job, or have you been in education,
48:45permanently?
48:46I have been absolutely in a job throughout my whole life.
48:51The family business, essentially.
48:53I worked through summers, I worked through weekends,
48:56and even when I was in university, I was president of the society.
48:59Yeah, I see all this president of the societies,
49:02bringing universities together, and all this goody-goody stuff.
49:05I'd have a little bit more respect if you were cleaning plates
49:08in a caf somewhere, which would give you a kind of,
49:11an insight into the real world of business.
49:14I do have an insight into the real world of business.
49:16I understand how... If you ever...
49:19Excuse me. Sorry, sorry.
49:21I do understand how it's set up from scratch.
49:25I am setting my own, essentially, company up from scratch.
49:29Could you perhaps explain to me what Sarah is doing here?
49:32I haven't seen any positive contribution throughout the last task.
49:36They've been, in fact, embarrassing, if I'm honest.
49:39And she was given the role of essentially doing timekeeping
49:43concerning the description and name.
49:46But you didn't say the description or the name.
49:48The description or the name didn't come out.
49:50I was reading out the times and exactly what we need to...
49:52It's not just about the times, Sarah.
49:54Tell me, is it because of your claim that you're a PA
49:58and that you look after people's diaries?
50:00In all honesty, I think people ask me to do the timekeeping
50:03because I've got the PA experience, which is fair enough.
50:06But at the end of the day, I do feel...
50:08It's a bit insulting, isn't it, really? She's business class.
50:10Why do you take it, then? Why do you take it?
50:12Because I don't want to have an argument with you
50:14because you're very overbearing.
50:15You like to be the limelight the whole time.
50:17I don't like to be the limelight, Sarah.
50:19You like to take control.
50:20Sarah, you're the one being like,
50:21let's put our skirts up and do our make-up.
50:23Do you know what? Ella, I think you feel threatened by me
50:25because you don't even look me in the eye.
50:27You don't even look me in the eye.
50:28I do look you in the eye, Sarah.
50:30Lord Sugar, I do believe, in my experience,
50:32she doesn't have the business acumen to be in this competition.
50:35And you do, you think, do you? You do.
50:37Someone who hasn't had a job, really.
50:39You can't say something like that about somebody.
50:41And in response to that, OK, I will say in response to that,
50:44every single task, Lord Sugar, I have given...
50:46I won the first task because I was project manager.
50:49Hello? Wake up.
50:51Sarah, no-one thought you were a good project manager.
50:54I was good because I won it.
50:56Lord Sugar, I believe my business is really going to be
50:59a great business because it's online dating,
51:01which is a growing industry, it's worth two billion worldwide.
51:04What experience have you got on websites?
51:06Well, I have actually trialled several.
51:08She's been on online dating websites to trial it.
51:11Oh, you've tried them out? Oh, I have trialled them out, yeah.
51:14You haven't built any, then, yourself?
51:16No, I haven't built any, but I do... She went on it.
51:19Ella Jade, as far as Stephen is concerned,
51:21why have you brought him in?
51:23I don't think he actually contributed to this task
51:25as far as I'm concerned in terms of the sub-team.
51:28I haven't seen him actually benefit the task in any shape or form.
51:32Lord Sugar, you need to fire Ella Jade.
51:34The reason why is she's going to be setting up a production company
51:37with your investment.
51:38However, when tasked with setting up a simple three-minute video,
51:41she wasn't able to do that at all.
51:43Even homing on any of the concepts which we discussed in the brainstorm,
51:46I would be very concerned if this is somebody who states
51:49they want to have this as their business
51:51when they can't even do a simple three minutes.
51:53It's like a Jekyll and Hyde, to be honest with you.
51:55He suddenly snaps and there's no in-between.
51:58It's been very negative. He hasn't been a team player.
52:01Every single person that you talk to will say
52:03you cannot work with this person.
52:05And just also for the second day when we went to the pitch,
52:08he was rambling. It was rambling.
52:10People couldn't understand what you were saying.
52:12It was theatrical. It was over the top.
52:14Dan was not effective as well.
52:16I think I'm rambling a bit as well.
52:18Yeah, exactly.
52:19Let's put the blame on them.
52:21It's not a matter of the blame.
52:23That's a big concern here. No, it's not ridiculous.
52:25This is what happens. You just... You blow up.
52:28Stephen, here you are shouting and screaming your bloody head off
52:31and you're expecting me to believe that you can run
52:34a very nice, quiet, sedate care home.
52:37I hope I don't end up in one of those.
52:39I believe that there's been a misunderstanding
52:41of how I've come across.
52:43And I say that I'm somebody who is a very passionate person
52:47and I understand that some of the passion
52:49may have been misinterpreted.
52:51However, I have learned from every single thing that you've told me
52:54and I've applied...
52:55What have you learned from me that I've told you?
52:57For example, reining in my passion.
52:59I've done that and I've actually applied myself during this time.
53:02Yeah, no, everything can say it.
53:04Lord Trigger, I am somebody who...
53:06Next task, I want to be the project manager
53:08and I'm going to show that I have leadership skills.
53:10Stephen... Lord Trigger, I... No, no, I'm...
53:12I want to be the next project manager to do an excellent job.
53:15You're not going to be the next project manager
53:17because I think you are a lost cause in this process.
53:20Stephen, you're fired.
53:24Thank you, Lord Trigger.
53:33CLOCK TICKS
53:40Ella, I made you project manager
53:43in a task which was the nearest to what you want to do with me
53:48when we go into business.
53:50And you failed.
53:52No, I... It's an unforgivable situation.
53:55Please, Lord Trigger, please give me the chance to prove
53:57that I can do this in future.
53:59There is no smoke without fire.
54:02Why they always make you the timekeeper
54:06is because people don't have much confidence in you.
54:09And if people don't have much confidence in you,
54:12I'm wondering why I should have confidence in you
54:15as a business partner.
54:18Sarah, you're fired.
54:21Oh, thank you for the opportunity.
54:30I've got to get on with this process with the candidates,
54:35some very, very good candidates that are left.
54:38Let's get rid of the no-hopers.
54:40No chance.
54:42Don't waste my time.
54:44I understand that, Lord Trigger, and I promise you
54:46I have the absolute hunger to learn from this and improve.
54:49I'm absolutely passionate about this process.
54:51I will do my ultimate aim to prove to you
54:54that I can be your business partner.
54:57The thing is, I'm afraid to say...
55:00Please, Lord Trigger, please...
55:02..you do not have the acumen for this.
55:04I do, I promise you I do. Please let me...
55:06Ella, you're fired.
55:08Please let me say, Lord Trigger, I promise you I will prove it.
55:11No, I'm sorry, you are fired. I wish you well.
55:15Please, Lord Trigger, I promise you... Yeah.
55:17I promise you I will learn from this.
55:19I promise you, Lord Trigger, I will learn from this.
55:21There's no turning... I've made my decision, OK?
55:23You're fired.
55:28HE SIGHS
55:42I've been in business long enough now to work out
55:45the people that had no chance of becoming my business partner,
55:49and those three certainly had no chance.
55:58When I saw Stephen and Sarah leave,
56:01I thought I might have been given a chance to prove myself.
56:05I was in complete shock to be fired as well.
56:09I think my passion got misunderstood by Lord Trigger
56:12as not being able to get along with other people.
56:14In reality, I'm very easygoing
56:16and I'm very easy to get along with other people.
56:19Unfortunately, that didn't come across.
56:21I think Lord Trigger looked at all of us today and thought,
56:24you know, we're not suitable business partners,
56:26which is, you know, fair enough.
56:28I don't think Lord Trigger is, you know,
56:30a suitable business partner for me.
56:34PHONE RINGS
56:39Hello?
56:41Hi, Lord Trigger.
56:43This is just to let you know that you may be waiting
56:46for some of your colleagues to come back from the boardroom,
56:48or they're not coming back.
56:50I've let all three of them go today.
56:52I've been telling you all along
56:54that I'm not going to put up with any deadwood in this process,
56:57and today demonstrates that quite clearly.
57:00OK?
57:01OK, Lord Trigger, I'll let the other guys know. Bye.
57:04OK, so he's let all three go this evening.
57:08And he said to remind you guys
57:10that he's deadly serious about performance
57:13and he will remove any more deadwood.
57:15We're going to start to perform.
57:18Now, 12 candidates remain.
57:21Lord Sugar's search for his next business partner continues.
57:29Next time...
57:31I want you to create your own coach tours.
57:35Day trips.
57:37Three men went to Mo...
57:39Went to Moa Meadow.
57:41Nightmares.
57:43We've only got rid of five at full price.
57:45There's more of us than there are on this tour at the moment.
57:48And then...
57:49Flannel is for the bathroom, not the boardroom.
57:52The wheels come off.
57:54Clean your act up and stop being a clown.
57:57You're fired.
58:01And all that same time, 9 o'clock next week.
