00:00We're in luck this morning, the dogs have found a fresh track and have treed a female
00:05mountain lion.
00:06It's a mature female that hasn't been collared before and this presents a great
00:10opportunity for research.
00:20Well the cat's just up above me, I'm going to stand here to try and discourage it from
00:24running down the valley.
00:25I think it's going to run down the valley anyway, they're just about to dart it from
00:29up there, they've got a nice shot of about 12 or 14 yards, she's right at the very top
00:33of the tree.
00:34Let's see how this goes.
00:35Come on, come on, come on, come on.
01:03Well the dart went in, we didn't want her to go to sleep in the top of that tall tree,
01:07so we shook the trees a little bit, she jumped down, ran over this ridge and has gone to
01:12sleep in this little tree right here.
01:15So Chase is just climbing up, we're going to take a rope and lower her down and find
01:19a nice little platform to process the cat.
