00:00Okay, Brooke, here we are.
00:03We're fishing for GTs, giant trevally, in the gap between the Mushangula Peninsula and
00:08Inyaka Island.
00:10And the way we're going to be doing that is drifting along the reef edge there on the
00:13incoming tide, and we're going to be throwing these drop shots, which is a lead jig head
00:17with a plastic tail on the end.
00:19We're going to be casting that out, letting them sink, and the idea is to give it an action
00:23so it looks like an injured or dying bait fish.
00:26And because giant trevally are predatory fish, they're drawn immediately to that sort of
00:30vulnerability of the fish, and so their instincts kick in and hopefully they'll jump on.
00:36Okay, let's do it.
00:37Let's try.
00:38This is my very first time fishing for giant trevally, and hopefully we can get one on
00:44board.
00:45We can measure it, we can tag it, and then we'll let it back into the ocean where it
00:48belongs.
00:49This is so difficult.
00:50You'd think it would be easy bobbing at all these waves, but it's actually quite hard.
00:58You have to keep your balance, and you have to make sure that your rod doesn't go into
01:02the water.
01:03This is actually quite fun.
01:04It's like a roller coaster.
