01:26First Reading
01:28Isaiah 6 verses 1-8
01:31In the year King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a high and lofty throne,
01:38with the train of His garment filling the temple.
01:41Seraphim were stationed above, each of them had six wings.
01:46With two they veiled their faces, with two they veiled their feet,
01:51and with two they hovered aloft.
01:54They cried one to the other,
01:57Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts.
02:01All the earth is filled with His glory.
02:04At the sound of that cry, the frame of the door shook,
02:08and the house was filled with smoke.
02:11Then I said, Woe is me, I am doomed,
02:15for I am a man of unclean lips.
02:18Living among a people of unclean lips.
02:22Yet my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.
02:26Then one of the Seraphim flew to me,
02:29holding an ember that he had taken with tongs from the altar.
02:33He touched my mouth with it and said,
02:36See, now that this has touched your lips,
02:40your wickedness is removed, your sin purged.
02:44Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,
02:47Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?
02:51Here I am, I said, send me.
02:55The word of God.
02:57Thanks be to God.
02:59Responsorial Psalm
03:02The Lord is King, He is robed in majesty.
03:06The Lord is King, He is robed in majesty.
03:10The Lord is King, in splendor robed.
03:13Robed is the Lord and girt about with strength.
03:17The Lord is King, He is robed in majesty.
03:21And He has made the world firm,
03:24not to be moved.
03:26Your throne stands firm from of old,
03:29from everlasting you are, O Lord.
03:32The Lord is King, He is robed in majesty.
03:36Your decrees are worthy of trust indeed.
03:40Holiness befits your house,
03:43O Lord, for length of days.
03:45The Lord is King, He is robed in majesty.
03:49Alleluia, Alleluia.
03:52If you are insulted for the name of Christ, blessed are you,
03:56for the Spirit of God rests upon you.
03:59Alleluia, Alleluia.
04:02The Lord be with you,
04:04and with your spirit.
04:07Reading from the Holy Gospel
04:10According to Matthew
04:12Glory to you, O Lord.
04:15Jesus said to His Apostles
04:18No disciple is above his teacher,
04:21no slave above his master.
04:24It is enough for the disciple that he become like his teacher,
04:28for the slave that he become like his master.
04:31If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul,
04:35how much more those of his household.
04:38Therefore do not be afraid of them.
04:41Nothing is concealed that will not be revealed,
04:43nor secret that will not be known.
04:46What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light.
04:50What you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops.
04:54And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.
04:59Rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy
05:02both soul and body in Gehenna.
05:05Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin?
05:09Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father's knowledge.
05:14Even all the hairs of your head are counted.
05:17So do not be afraid, you are worth more than many sparrows.
05:22Everyone who acknowledges me before others,
05:25I will acknowledge before my Heavenly Father.
05:29But whoever denies me before others,
05:32I will deny before my Heavenly Father.
05:35The Gospel of the Lord
05:38We praise you Lord Jesus Christ.
06:08Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
06:11for through your goodness we have received the wine we offer you.
06:14Fruit of the vine and work of human hands,
06:17it will become our spiritual drink.
06:20Blessed be God forever.
06:39Pray, my brothers and sisters,
06:42that my sacrifice and yours may be a sacrifice to God, our Almighty Father.
06:46May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands
06:49for the praise and glory of his name,
06:52for our good and the good of all his holy Church.
06:55Through the presence of nature, Lord,
06:58which we offer in commemoration,
07:00our blessed Henry,
07:02bestow on your faithful, we pray,
07:04the gifts of unity and peace,
07:06through Christ our Lord.
07:08The Lord be with you.
07:10And with your spirit and your heart.
07:12We pray to the Father, Lord,
07:14to give thanks to the Lord our God.
07:16It is right and just.
07:18It is truly right and just,
07:20our duty and our salvation,
07:22always and everywhere to give you thanks,
07:24Lord, Holy Father, Almighty and Eternal God,
07:26through Christ our Lord.
07:28For he is the true and eternal priest
07:30who instituted the pattern of an everlasting sacrifice
07:33and was the first to offer himself as a saving victim,
07:35commanding us to make this offering as his memorial.
07:37As we eat his flesh that was sacrificed for us,
07:39we are made strong,
07:41and as we drink his blood that was poured out for us,
07:43we are washed clean.
07:45And so with angels and archangels,
07:47with trolls and dominions,
07:49and with all the hosts and powers of heaven,
07:51we sing a hymn of your glory,
07:53as without end we have lived.
07:55Holy, holy, holy Lord,
07:57God of hosts,
07:59heaven and earth are full of your glory.
08:01Hosanna in the highest.
08:02Blessed is he who comes
08:04in the name of the Lord.
08:06Hosanna in the highest.
08:08Today we will pray the second Eucharistic prayer
08:10and a quote from John.
08:12Listen, John Barr, in the year 344.
08:14John said,
08:16Christ is present.
08:18The one Christ who prepared
08:20that holy Thursday table
08:22is the very one who now prepares this altar.
08:24For it is not a man
08:26who makes his sacrificial gifts
08:28become the body and blood of Christ,
08:29but he who was crucified
08:31for us Christ himself.
08:33The priest stands there
08:35carrying out the action,
08:37but the power and grace
08:39is of God.
08:41This is my body, he says.
08:43This statement transforms the gifts.
08:45You are indeed holy, O Lord,
08:47the fount of all holiness.
08:49They have only ever been
08:51pierced when you prayed,
08:53and by sinning,
08:55you are resurrected like the people.
08:57So listen, they become for us
08:59the body and blood of Christ.
09:01At the time he was betrayed
09:03and entered willingly into his passion,
09:05he took bread and,
09:07giving thanks, broke it
09:09and gave it to his disciples,
09:11saying, take this, all of you,
09:13and eat of it,
09:15for this is my body
09:17which will be given up for you.
09:24In a similar way,
09:26when supper was ended,
09:27he took bread and,
09:29once more giving thanks,
09:31he gave it to his disciples,
09:33saying, take this,
09:35all of you, and drink from it,
09:37for this is the chalice of my blood,
09:39the blood of the new and eternal covenant
09:41which will be poured out for you
09:43and for many
09:45for the forgiveness of sins.
09:47Do this in memory of me.
09:52The mystery of faith.
09:54Save us, Savior of the world,
09:55for by your cross and resurrection
09:57you have set us free.
10:00Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial
10:02of his death and resurrection,
10:04we offer you, Lord, the bread of life
10:06and the chalice of salvation,
10:08giving thanks that your blood was worthy
10:10to be in your presence and minister to you.
10:12Humbly we pray that,
10:14partaking of the body and blood of Christ,
10:16we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.
10:18Remember, Lord, your church spread throughout the world
10:20and bring her to the fullness of charity,
10:22together with Francis our Pope,
10:23Louis our Bishop,
10:25and all of your people.
10:27Remember also our brothers and sisters
10:29who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection
10:31and all who have died in your mercy.
10:33Welcome them into the light of your face.
10:35Have mercy on us all, we pray,
10:37that with the blessed Virgin Mary,
10:39Mother of God,
10:41with the blessed Joseph, her spouse,
10:43with the blessed apostles,
10:45and all the saints who have pleased you throughout the ages,
10:47we may merit to be courteous to eternal life
10:49and may praise and glorify you
10:51through your Son, Jesus Christ.
10:53Through him, and with him, and in him,
10:55O God, Almighty Father,
10:57in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
10:59all glory and honor is yours
11:01forever and ever.
11:03Amen.
11:05Amen.
11:07Amen.
11:09Amen.
11:14As the saviors from man
11:16informed by divine teaching,
11:18we dare to pray.
11:19Our Father, who art in heaven,
11:21hallowed be thy name.
11:23Thy kingdom come,
11:25thy will be done
11:27on earth as it is in heaven.
