00:00By the numbers, the economy is doing better than it has been in recent years.
00:05But as we know, sentiment always lags the actual numbers.
00:08Do you think between now and then, between now and November, rather, sentiment will change
00:13when it comes to the economy?
00:15Voters will feel more favorably to Biden because they're saying, hey, OK, my wallet feels a
00:19little better.
00:20These kitchen table items are a little bit cheaper.
00:24Yeah.
00:25So, I mean, let's think about the metrics.
00:28When we say the economy is better, oftentimes we look at the, you know, the stock market,
00:32the employment rate, things like that.
00:35If you think about older voters, many of whom are retired, in this survey in Wisconsin voters,
00:42just a data point to spot a light on this.
00:46You have, I mean, just make sure I get it right, 64% of voters, 50 plus, say that Social
00:53Security either is or will play a major role in their future, in their retirement.
01:01These are folks who are not really thinking, you know, less about sort of the stock market
01:07and more about the check that comes in the mail every month.
01:10And will it be there for me?
01:12And so, yes, I think there is time for the environment to change.
01:18We've got, like I said, just under four months to the election.
01:21And so that's certainly a possibility.
01:24But older voters are, you know, many of them fixed income and are pretty much know their
01:31financial situation.
01:32They know how much things cost at the grocery store.
01:35They know how much the rent or the mortgage is, you know, for those who are paying it.
01:39So I think, you know, those types of fundamentals, you know, are not likely to change between
01:46now and the election unless there's a dramatic change in, you know, for example, everyday
01:51prices of goods.
