00:00Jadon Filadjiani-Bedais, a possible transfer snub to Everton, looks like he's on his way
00:11to Aston Villa. Another way that Aston Villa have got in there, maybe it's their Champions
00:18League pull, obviously Unai Emery as well, the sort of good things they've done. They're
00:22going to have that pull and Everton sometimes might have to just accept that in the next
00:28coming seasons that these players could go there instead. What's the latest about him?
00:33Do you think he's also got a fantastic future, only 22 years old as well.
00:37Could be a brilliant signing for Aston Villa and Everton might feel a bit hard on that.
00:42Yeah, I think so. I think it turned into a little bit of a saga in truth. At one point
00:50it was reported that he was going to be off to a two-a-two with Jacob Grieves in a double deal
00:54and the whole owner come out and said they're the favourites at the minute and obviously
00:58registered interest. Crystal Palace were linked and then obviously Aston Villa had the right to
01:06match any bids that have been accepted after selling them only a year ago and he decided to
01:12go back to Aston Villa. It looks like Moussa Diaby might be off to Saudi Arabia, so a bear has opened
01:18up in their squad and as you say, it's just funny because if you probably compared Everton and
01:23Aston Villa, they're probably maybe two similar-sized clubs, Aston Villa and the European
01:28Corporate. In terms of league titles, there's not too many clubs in England who've won more than
01:34Everton, but that's just the nature of the landscape now. Everton are in transitions,
01:42definitely. Hopefully the worst is behind them, obviously bringing the new owner in,
01:47Sam Freak and the Freak Group, but this is the situation Everton are in and Aston Villa have
01:51accelerated exceptionally since they were promoted back to the Premier League. They've
01:56got a greater ownership model and you know Emery coming in has made a profound impression, so it
02:04is a blow for Everton because they do need wide players, make no bones about it. They've only got
02:08two senior options under contract at the minute, Dwight McNeill and Jack Harrison arriving back
02:15and they were the mainstays last season on both flanks, but both probably played too much
02:21football for my liking. They look fatigued at times and Everton need to bolster the wide options
02:29because there's no-one else in the current squad. James Garner's played there in the past,
02:34Ashley Young's versatile fairness, but is he regarded as a full-back now on both flanks
02:41rather than being a winger? I don't know, I'd be interested to see what Sean Dyche's got to say
02:45about that, but definitely some more pace out wide is needed for Everton and someone a little
02:52bit more direct.
