00:00Systematic Aviation Services Sindiran Berhad, the first company to provide seaplane services

00:07in Malaysia, faced another setback when an aircraft owner barged into a hangar and seized

00:12its plane.

00:13According to sources, representatives of Oriental Sky Sindiran Berhad, its lawyers and a pilot

00:19moved to secure the Cessna 208EX with registration number 9MORS on Tuesday despite the SAS management

00:27ordering hangar staff to stop them.

00:29Oriental Sky had a leasing contract allowing SAS to operate and maintain its amphibian

00:33aircraft.

00:34However, they had to reclaim the plane due to issues with its fuel quantity indication

00:38system.

00:39SAS has been unable to fix the problem since its only licensed aircraft engineer for the

00:44Cessna 208 model left the company a few months ago without a replacement.

00:49One associate, Oriental Sky, told SAS to return the aircraft after aviation authorities refused

00:55to renew SAS's Air Service Permit and suspended its Air Operations Certificate.

01:00The aircraft's owner said these licenses were vital for their operations and maintenance

01:04contracts, the source added.

01:06Due to SAS's inability to renew its ASP and the suspension of its AOC, the company is

01:12unable to offer any form of passenger service.
