00:00In Venezuela, the candidate for the Great Patriotic Pole, Nicolás Maduro, assured that
00:16revolutionary forces are the only ones that can guarantee peace and stability in the country.
00:23In Nepal, a plane carrying 19 passengers crashed during take-off, killing 18 people.
00:28In Palestine, Israeli occupation forces killed at least 11 people in different raids in the
00:34occupied West Bank.
00:42Hello and welcome to From the South, I'm Luis Alberto Matos from the Lesos Studios
00:46in Havana, Cuba.
00:47We begin with the news.
01:01In Venezuela, the candidate for the Great Patriotic Pole, Nicolás Maduro, assured that
01:04revolutionary forces are the only ones that can guarantee peace and stability in the country.
01:10Candidate Nicolás Maduro visited the people of Maracay in the state of Aragua, where he
01:14was received by the crowd awaiting his arrival, raising flags and banners as a token of their
01:18support before the presidential elections to be held on Sunday, July 28.
01:22During this visit, the candidate for the Great Patriotic Pole assured that the map of Venezuela
01:26will be painted red, because today, more than ever, the people will come out to defend their
01:31convictions and the project of the homeland.
01:34In this sense, the candidate for the Great Patriotic Pole assured that the extreme right
01:37only intends to privatize all the institutions and companies of the country, as well as to
01:43destroy Commander Hugo Chávez Fría's great nations.
01:54It is time to open the door to permanent peace.
02:02It is not time to improvise, new pretenders, new demagogues, it is not time to open the
02:08door to the monster of savage capitalism.
02:14To come and privatize everything to the people, do you want a savage capitalist president
02:18to come and privatize education, privatize the right to education, privatize petroleum
02:34of Venezuela and give away the oil to the foreigners, privatize the right to housing,
02:39to eliminate and destroy the missions and great missions of Chávez?
02:51During his visit to Valencia in the state of Carabobo, the candidate for the Great Patriotic
02:55Pole qualified his great mobilization as the greatest mobilization in the history of the
02:59party, assuring that this was a sign of a great victory that will be achieved this coming
03:03July 28.
03:04On the other hand, Nicolás Maduro said that if the far-right tries once again to undermine
03:09the peace of the country by generating scenarios of violence in the presidential elections,
03:12this would be the last mistake they would make, affirming that he would be in charge
03:16of doing justice.
03:28Because Maracaibo today took to the streets to tell the fascists, you in Venezuela will
03:33not pass.
03:38And I say it from Valencia and I say it from Maracaibo, if you eat the light on Sunday
03:42you will regret it for 200 years, if you make a mistake to harm the people it will be the
03:47last mistake the fascists will make.
04:07There will be justice, there will be dignity.
04:10And I tell you, we are going to win, we are going to win very well, we have the strength,
04:15we have the power, we have the people, we have the one time ten times seven.
04:24We now go live to Caracas with our special envoy Yunus Soner.
04:28Hello Yunus, what's the latest that you can tell us from Venezuela?
04:36Hello good afternoon from Caracas, Venezuela.
04:39Today is a special day here in Venezuela, it's a holiday because it is the 241st anniversary
04:47of the birth of Simon Bolivar, the great liberator and founder of Venezuela.
04:54And of course for us here in Tel Azur it is also a birthday, it's our 19th birthday and
05:00not by chance that it falls together with the great liberator's birthday here at the
05:07same date.
05:09So this day is a holiday, it's a free day for all employed people, but there is still
05:15important activities going on.
05:17First of all there is the Plan Republica, the republic plan that has been set in motion
05:22with the deployment today, with the ceremony today officially.
05:27And with this deployment, according to official numbers, 388,000 soldiers will take service
05:36all over the country to provide security to voters, to provide security to voting centers,
05:44to ballot boxes.
05:45They will guarantee peace and stability during the voting process.
05:50This is, for those who don't know it, a usual measure.
05:54This is always done here in Venezuela since years, so it is not a reflection of a certain
06:00instability but a fundamental character of the election schedule.
06:07And we also participated in the press conference of the Minister of Defense who said repeatedly
06:13how the armed forces, how the national Bolivarian armed forces of Venezuela are looking to this
06:20job of protecting the ballot boxes and providing security to the citizens while casting their
06:27votes.
06:28On the other side, the president of the National Election Council, Elvis Amoroso, made some
06:33statements.
06:34Amoroso said that he states a media campaign, an international Western media campaign, targeting
06:42Venezuela's electoral system, trying to discredit it.
06:46And Amoroso claimed that this campaign, this media campaign is, I quote, paid with money
06:52robbed from the Venezuelan state.
06:54Hereby Amoroso clearly refers to the sanctions and to frozen assets that Venezuela had abroad.
07:02So the government's plan is, the state's plan is functioning well.
07:06The soldiers are being deployed.
07:08The plan republica is in March.
07:11But we noticed that on Western media campaign, on Western media front, there is increasing
07:18attacks that come, of course, along with the opposition's rejection to sign an agreement
07:25with the other candidates, with the two oppositional candidates refused to sign the agreement to
07:33recognize the announcement of the National Election Council once the election has finished.
07:40So there is on Venezuelan side stability, but we see increasing attacks on media front
07:46from the Western part of the world.
07:50Thank you, Junius, for the latest information, as always.
07:54Well, that was Junius Nørh reporting live from Caracas on the latest development as

11:13The Ukrainian diplomat also valued as highly positive and significant the active role of
11:17China in the promotion of peace and the upholding of international order.
11:21In addition to a peace plan, both parties addressed bilateral relations.
11:31China believes that all conflicts must be settled at the negotiating table and all disputes
11:35should be resolved by political means.
11:38Recently, both Ukraine and Russia have shown their readiness for negotiation.

14:38West Bank during the last 24 hours.
14:40In this sense, on Wednesday, a 16-year-old teenager was killed after being shot during
14:44clashes with Israeli soldiers in Calandia Refugee Camp, north of Jerusalem.
14:50On the other hand, a large contingent of vehicles of the occupation army also stormed family
14:54residences as part of their policy of collective punishment of the Palestinian population.
14:59Meanwhile, six people were reported wounded by bullets and two by beatings by Israeli
15:03soldiers.
15:04All the rest of the deaths occurred during assaults in the localities of Tubas and Turkarem.
15:14On Wednesday, a relative more the death of Abd al-Nasir Sarhan, 23 years old, who was
15:18killed by the occupation army during a raid in Tubas, in the northern West Bank.
15:23In this sense, Lokomiya pointed out that the young man was a customs officer and was shot
15:28by Israeli troops while on duty, without posing any threat.
15:31Should be noted that 589 Palestinians, including 142 children, have been killed by Israel since
15:37the beginning of the Genocidal War in Gaza on October 7th amidst the intensified incursions
15:42in the occupied West Bank.
15:48Parallel to the attacks of the occupation army, Israeli settlers intensified their attacks
15:51against the Palestinian population in the occupied West Bank.
15:54In this way, on Wednesday night, a group of extremist settlers set fire to homes and vehicles
15:59in the town of Uwara, south of Nablus.
16:02In the meantime, Lokomiya denounced that the escalation of attacks comes just days after
16:06the International Court of Justice ruled as illegal Israel's decades-long occupation
16:10of the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
16:17On the other hand, the Israeli occupation army perpetrated several air raids in different
16:21areas of the Gaza Strip on the 292nd day of the beginning of the Genocidal War against
16:25the Palestinian population.
16:27In this way, Lokomiya confirmed airstrikes on civilian populations in the Zirak Refugee
16:31Camp, in the center of the Gaza Strip.
16:34In addition, attacks were also reported in Al-Bureij Camp and Yunis, Gaza City and Rafah,
16:40while in the north of the devastated Palestinian territory, five people were also killed and
16:44several injured after the bombing of a house in Havalia.
16:47In this regard, medical authorities reported that 39,090 Palestinians have been killed
16:53since last October 7.
16:59This is not the first or last time the occupation army has committed crimes against humanity
17:04against the Palestinian people.
17:07At approximately 11 o'clock, we were informed to evacuate the area, and a house was bombed.
17:13After a few minutes, the house was bombed along with the surroundings, and a number

17:3940,000 in Gaza, a total of 34 children have died due to malnutrition, while 17,000 others
17:45live without one or both parents.
17:48In this context, the US-Jewish doctor Mark Berkmutter declared on Sunday during his return
17:54to the United States that Israeli snipers deliberately fired on Palestinian children.
18:01Definitively, I have two children that I have photographs of that were shot so perfectly
18:07in the chest I couldn't put my stethoscope over their heart more accurately, and directly
18:12on the side of the head, in the same child.
18:15No toddler gets shot twice by mistake by the world's best sniper.
18:19And they're dead center shots.
18:22In the United States, activists from Jewish Voice for Peace gather at Capitol Hill calling
18:26for an end to arms transfers to Israel ahead of Netanyahu's speech.
18:32Hundreds of demonstrators suddenly flooded the Rotunda of a congressional office building
18:36staging an unexpected protest against Israel's military actions in Gaza.
18:41Capitol Police swiftly designated the area of limits and detained numerous protesters
18:45who remained.
18:46This demonstration occurred on the eve of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's
18:50scheduled address to Congress, an invitation extended by leading lawmakers from both major
18:56political parties.
18:57Netanyahu's administration has presided over a nine-month genocide in Gaza.
19:07In this context, U.S. lawmakers say they will boycott Benjamin Netanyahu's speech in Congress.
19:12Several Democrat congressmen announced that they will not attend the legislative chamber
19:25In this regard, Senator Bernie Sanders stated that Netanyahu is a war criminal and that
19:33his extremist right-wing government should not receive one more cent from U.S. taxpayers
19:38to continue the inhumane destruction of Gaza.
19:40Also, Representatives Rashida Tlaib and Senators Patty Murray, Tim Kaine, Chris Van Hollen,
19:46among others, will take part in the boycott.
19:54President Biden has prioritized the safe return of all hostages.
20:03Prime Minister Netanyahu has not.
20:05He continues to put his own political survival first, above the interests of the people of
20:10Israel and the U.S. citizens.
20:12Mr. President, I renew my call for an immediate ceasefire and the return of all hostages.
20:18On Wednesday, the French government confirmed that the opening of the Olympic Games will
20:35be held on the Seine River.
20:37In this regard, President Macron said that the security checks had been carried out after
20:42months of hard work.
20:43Furthermore, he assured that the same plan for the opening ceremony would be maintained
20:47where more than 200 participating delegations will parade along the river waters aboard
20:52barges in the presence of more than 300,000 spectators.
20:56For their part, the French authorities confirmed they have activated the anti-terrorist perimeter,
21:00restricting access to the ceremony area.
