00:08what they thought of the result. Seemingly the result was controversial so we decided
00:12to ask the people of Preston what they thought of the winners.
00:15So what were your opinions on the Love Island final?
00:17I thought it was really good. I personally didn't expect Mimi and Josh to win but I'm
00:23really happy they did.
00:25Were they your favourites to win?
00:26Yeah.
00:27Have you got a favourite person that went into the villa this year?
00:31Probably Grace.
00:33Were you hoping for her to win instead?
00:35No, I didn't want her to win. She was just my favourite person I think that went in the
00:41villa. I thought she handled herself really well in certain situations.
00:45Yeah, so that's why she was my favourite.
00:47Do you think you'll watch it again next year or in the winter?
00:51Sometimes. I'm a bit inhibited by Love Island. I used to watch it religiously but these days
00:57I'm just looking in and out of it. I don't really watch every single episode but I watch
01:00the finals.
01:01Did the final live up to your expectations?
01:03Yeah, I thought they made it a bit different compared to previous years as well with them
01:08all sitting down and having the dinner together in my soup table so that was a bit different
01:14but yeah it was good.
01:15You did the Love Island final last night.
01:16I knew Mimi was going to win because she's the best.
01:19Has she always been your favourite in the show?
01:21Yeah, I think she deserved to win because she got her heart broke didn't she?
01:26Do I think the right people won Love Island?
01:29No, I do not think the right people won Love Island this year.
01:33I think from previous years it was a very weak selection and it was kind of
01:37you know obviously you could pick the top three but are any of them going to stay together?
01:42Time will tell.
01:43I do think, and this is going to stir the ket amongst the pigeons, that Mimi got the
01:49sympathy vote from many people.
01:51Obviously from What Happened in Casa Amor.
01:55Obviously she held herself well.

02:00I definitely think she swerved a bullet and pointed it in Joy Essex's direction.

02:08But Pretty Little Thing were very vocal in Go Mimi.
02:13So I think that kind of swayed some of the public's decision and I definitely think
02:18that they will be having a closing deal with her.

02:23Will they stay together?
02:25I think for a bit.
02:26They'll be a bit like Davide and Atkinson.
02:28They'll get their brand deals and their money.
02:31I personally would say in about three or four months that they won't be together.
02:35I think probably the ones to have the most longevity would be Kieran and Nicole
02:40as long as she calms down a bit on attention that he'll definitely get when he's out of the villa.
02:45And then obviously Sean and Matilda.
02:49Sean's nice but I just think he's really punching.
02:52Matilda's just funny.
02:54She's pretty.
02:56She's an amazing personality.
02:58She's got everything and she will have an awful lot of admirers.
03:02But definitely I don't think this year has been as strong as previous years.

03:10They won when he came in late, kind of like Josh.
03:14But they didn't stay together.
