00:18week.
00:19First up, in central Lancashire, Dark Moon Comic Fair heads to Preston's Fishergate
00:25Shopping Centre on Saturday, October 19th.
00:28Running between 9am and 4pm, attendees get the opportunity to shop, socialise, discover
00:34new things and play games.
00:37The event, which is free, is perfect for fans of comics, manga and anime, tabletop and video
00:42games, pokemon, sci-fi, fantasy, horror, marvel, dc, dark horse, books, collectibles, pop culture
00:52and more.
00:54Over on the Fylde Coast, the award-winning Light Pool Festival will be back in Blackpool
00:59from Friday, October 18th to Saturday, October 26th.
01:04Across the eight days, Blackpool will become an artistic playground where outdoor spaces
01:09and iconic buildings come alive with mesmerising lightworks.
01:14Spectators can expect to enjoy a spectacular programme of light-based art installations,
01:19live performances, 3D projection shows and family-friendly activities.
01:24All the events are free.
01:28Up in Lancaster, Litfest Autumn Weekend starts on Friday, October 18th and runs until the
01:34following Friday, October 25th.
01:38Following a successful festival in the spring, Litfests say they are delighted to be back
01:42with another inspiring selection of events for members of the public to enjoy, with a
01:46special focus on writers from the North West.
01:50Events are held at various venues across Lancaster city centre, whilst some are online only.
01:56Tickets for most of the events are £5 to attend in person and £3 to attend online.
02:04Over in East Lancashire, one of the country's favourite ever comedians, Jimmy Carr, is performing
02:09at King George's Hall on Thursday, October 17th.
02:14His brand new show, Jimmy Carr Laughs Funny, promises to be fast-paced and full with edgy
02:19one-liners.
02:21It will also be 90 minutes of solid jokes, as there is no interval.
02:26Jimmy is putting on two shows in one night, the first being 7.30pm to 9pm and the second
02:339.30pm to 11pm.
02:36Tickets are still available for both shows and they cost £37.
02:42Finally, just outside of Lancashire, the Wrestling Wren at Leigh Sports Village is
02:48holding a spooktacular Halloween breakfast with Mickey and Minnie Mouse at 9am on Sunday
02:54October 20th.
02:56The event includes pancakes or cooked breakfast, music and party games, spooky crafts and a
03:03best dressed competition.
03:05Tickets cost £10 and are available by calling 019 426 01832 or from the pub's website.
