Highlights from Tuesday's Cowboys practice: Cropper, Stephens, Harvey & more

He highlights wide receiver Jalen Cropper who's making a case to make the 2024 squad, if tight end John Stephens might end up as the backup to Jake Ferguson and more.

00:56The kid was impressive the first couple days of camp, and then he kind of slowed down a

01:00So today, it looked like an impressive day from some of the clips that came out, Brian.

01:05And when they put him on the move, he's especially good, because he could separate.
01:10He has a feel, as you mentioned there, Wooley, that when he runs routes, it's like he's going
01:16full speed.
01:18It's not like any hesitation or slowing up or, oh, I'm worried about running into somebody.
01:24He knows where he wants to go, and he gets there.
01:27And I'll tell you what, he got some work with the ones today.
01:31So he's been like a ones or a twos and that kind of thing.
01:36But I've been kind of impressed.
01:38I mean, they throw the ball to him on the out.
01:40It's a first down.
01:41They throw him the ball down the field.
01:42It's a catch in the middle of the field.
01:43They throw him the ball down to the end zone.
01:46He's separated from Jordan Lewis.
01:49By the way, Jordan Lewis did have a good day today.
01:51I know I was kind of talking about him getting caught up for a defensive holding.
01:56But this Cropper kid, they're going to have to figure out, and we'll see more practices,
02:01preseason, how many numbers they keep at wide receiver.
02:06Because this kid right here is making them, it might be one of those things like, you
02:09know, we talked to Steven Jones, and I'm going to try and grab him tonight too.
