00:04presentation showcasing new dive destinations and inviting potential investors to expand
00:10the country's dive tourism sector.
00:12This event featured 12 Filipino diving suppliers bringing the latest information about Philippine
00:17diving and special products to diving enthusiasts in China.
00:22Philippine Ambassador to China Jaime Flor Cruz said this is a good opportunity to expand
00:27the country's image in China as a destination for divers promoting different diving spots
00:32and tourism activities.
00:34In the meantime, Tourism Operations Officer Ernesto Teston said the Philippines is the
00:39center of marine biodiversity and part of the coral triangle, emphasizing that there's
00:45no better way than to experience the beauty of the nation.
00:49Earlier this year, the DOT noted dive tourism in 2023 contributed more than 73 billion pesos
00:55to the economy, almost twice the 37 billion pesos revenue generated from the industry
