00:00Tomorrow, Comalec will accept the petition for those who are ready to submit their petition following the issuance of the initial and partial list of qualified voters for the 2025 elections.

00:18As of now, the Commission on Elections has clarified that even though they issued a partial and initial list of qualified voters for the 2025 elections,

00:29the petition can still be rejected or questioned. According to Comalec spokesperson attorney John Rex Laudianco,

00:37it appears that they are still open or that they will accept if a petition is submitted to disqualify or remove the name of an aspirant from their official list of candidates.

00:50Here is his statement.

00:53We are encouraging our countrymen, aside from this, in declaring as a no-issuance candidate, there are two types of cases.

01:02First, the petition to cancel or deny due course to the COC so that those who have a question can submit their petition.

01:10Another example is the removal of the name of KOJC leader Apollo Kim Uloy from the list of qualified candidates as senator next year.

01:20Comalec said that it can still be appealed and questioned in their office.

01:25Also, even the candidates who were requested by the local government can submit their petition if there are complaints.

01:32According to Comalec, as of 5 p.m. yesterday, they received 246 petitions, including those who submitted their petition for the local position.

01:43Meanwhile, yesterday, Comalec said that out of 183 petitions that their COC submitted to the senator, only 66 were included in their list.

01:54For the 117 that were not included in their list, they still have a chance to explain to Comalec why they should not be declared as a no-issuance candidate.

02:03The commission also explained that they have a right to declare as a no-issuance candidate to those who filed for the COC.

02:14But we have seen that based on their intentions in filing for the COC, based on their statements when they filed for the COC,

02:23first, they might not be able to fully understand their intention in becoming a senator because their promises are not in line with the work of this senator.

02:36Others, we can see that they just want attention and they can be seen on TV and online.

02:43Aljo, Comalec promised that before November ends, they will issue a final list of candidates for the 2025 election.

02:53Because in December, they will target the printing of balotas.
