00:00Careful management is needed to prevent congestion and inefficiencies
00:07in operations at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang.
00:11This is what transport consultant Wan Agil Wan Hasan had to say following the return
00:16of jetliners to the airport, adding that a well-coordinated approach was necessary
00:21to ensure better services for travelers.
00:24He highlighted the importance of improving transportation links, like the Skypark
00:28Link connecting SZB to Kuala Lumpur International Airport via KL Central to ensure smooth passenger transfers.
00:37He added that flight schedules between SZB and KLIA should be coordinated to avoid
00:42redundancies and to optimize route planning.
00:46Last month, Transport Minister Lok Siu Fook announced that jetliners would return to SZB
00:51starting August 1st, with six airlines resuming narrow-body aircraft operations.
00:56Meanwhile, economist Goh Lim Tai from University of Malaya said the move would bring economic
01:01benefits, including increased revenues for airlines and airport operations.
01:07Goh added that the return of jetliners to SZB would enhance Malaysia's aviation market
01:12competitiveness by offering more flight options and improved connectivity.
