00:00Will the Philadelphia Phillies finally figure it out? They have lost four
00:05straight. They were blank yesterday at home in their midweek series opener
00:09against the Miami Marlins. You heard that from Donny right side. He is heated. So we
00:14asked Jack McMullin to try to figure it out and make sense of it for us. The
00:19Phil's close to a $2 favorite at home tonight against Miami. Total is 9 minus
00:25190. That exact money line price as of this moment on FanDuel. Jack, how
00:30desperately does Philadelphia just need to win this baseball game against the
00:34Fish? Very. Like I'd say on a one through ten scale, we're looking at an eight or
00:39a nine. Like this feels like if you don't stop it tonight, what are we doing
00:44here? It's the Miami Marlins. You just got shut out by the Miami Marlins
00:48last go-round. Now they send Tyler Phillips to the mound and Donny, you can
00:53fill in a little bit. I'm sure he was really good until he wasn't. And he was
00:58an awesome story. But again, this guy had an ERA close to five at Lehigh Valley.
01:03They needed a warm body to make a spot start. It went really well. They gave
01:07him another. It went really well. They gave another. It went really well. And
01:11then it didn't. He scares me a little bit. But you know what? Like the guy on
01:17Miami side, Edward Cabrera, scares me too, because he struggles to find the
01:21strike zone in its entirety over the course of some starts. Now, some he'll
01:25go, you know, five innings, two hits, no runs, and he'll punch out eight and
01:28he'll scatter his 23 walks. But you know, if they're patient, I think that
01:32works in their favor. My question tonight on the fills is what version of
01:37Tyler Phillips do we get? I have no idea.
01:41Yeah, here's the tough part to jacket like they come home from that road trip,
01:44which they were under 500 had a great series against the Dodgers, terrible
01:47against Arizona. Rob Thompson basically said, You know what? Could it be good to
01:49get home? Taiwan Walker shows up on the mound and the fans are on edge. What do
01:53you need? Just give me a clean top of the first inning to get the good vibes
01:56there. He was terrible in the first and the booze were raining down right away.
02:00And sometimes you see that cluster and it's not as if you have your stopper
02:03exact wheel on the mound today. We'll see what Phillips has. Let's go to
02:05another game. 6 40 p.m. Eastern tonight, Chicago Cubs and the Cleveland
02:09Guardians. Tyone and Cobb favorite here for Cleveland minus 1 38 price playing
02:13good baseball. They look like they were free falling a little bit here, Jack,
02:16but a couple straight wins certainly right at that ship. Any thoughts today
02:19between Cobb and Tyone with the Cubs and the Guardians? Yeah, I mean, Cubs
02:23are playing good ball right now, and it seems like the vibe is is really good
02:26in Chicago, which which is great because it was, you know, kind of in
02:29the basement a couple weeks ago. I think even a week and a half, two weeks ago,
02:32right around the trade deadline, like, Okay, you know, what are they doing?
02:35And the East Sock Parades deal was totally a shock because we were like,
02:39Wait, hold on. They're buying. How does this make any sense? And now it's like,
02:43Oh, okay, they're buying. They're fully in the National League wild card
02:47picture. Tyone has been a steady presence all year. He has been one of
02:51the more underrated steady presences in all of baseball on the mound. And what
02:56I mean by that is even Naga was so good, and then he had some blow up starts.
03:00Steel was hurt for a little bit. You had so much volatility on this pitching
03:06staff. You know, the bullpen has been a real concern the entirety of the season.
03:10One of the steady guys you mentioned the word stopper with Zach Wheeler. I'm
03:13excited that he gets on the Hill tomorrow. But like Tyone has effectively
03:19been the poor man's stopper for the Chicago Cubs. So I like that Cobb had a
03:25really rough go of it. His first outing with Cleveland. So, um, you know, I guess
03:31I lean Chicago here on the road.
03:34Yeah, the Cubs had one for straight entering this series. The Guardians
03:38looking for a midweek series sweep with a victory today against Chicago. Same
03:43story in an A. L. Central duel between Minnesota and Kansas City. Only a couple
03:48of games of day baseball on this Wednesday. This is one in the twin
03:53cities where yesterday the twins got to Seth Lugo in a big way. 13 to 3. The
03:58victory for Minnesota Lugo, who was so great for most of the year for K. C. Has
04:03now lost five of his last seven starts. Minnesota looking for the series sweep
04:09today against Kansas City. A virtual pick of Jack. Actually, a little bit of
04:12movement. Minnesota now a slight minus 1 10 favorite minus 106 on the other
04:17side for the Royals. Total of eight. Will Minnesota sweep or will Kansas
04:22City avoid the sweep and pick up a victory? The good news about Kansas City
04:27is even when Lugo lays an egg, they can turn to another all star and Cole
04:31Reagan's today, and that is very welcomed, especially for this Kansas
04:35City Royals lineup that knows they just need to scratch across a couple. Twins
04:40are going with a spot start today. I don't know exactly who it's gonna be.
04:43Give me the all star over a spot starter. Give me Cole Reagan's over
04:48whoever the twins run out to start. But I've been Zebby Matthews yesterday
04:51making his major debut. That guy did not walk anybody in the minor leagues. It
04:55was 97 innings, seven walks for Zebby Matthews, and he got up more of the
05:00same. No walks yesterday against Kansas City in a 13 to 3 win for Minnesota
05:08KC. Just a one game advantage over the Red Sox right now for the final A. L.
05:12Wild Card spot. Jack McMullin. We sincerely appreciate this great half
05:17hour. Thank you, my friend. Our number three up next on TV.
05:26Again, we are not rooting for injuries. We are not glad to see this news. Just
05:31rather marveling at the idea that Craig Mish kind of predicted this based on
05:36knowing Jazz Chisholm and his injury history in Miami. Now in New York,
05:41Brian Hoke, who covers the Yankees for MLB dot com, sharing out yesterday.
05:46Jazz Chisholm Jr is likely headed to the I. L. With a left U. C. L. Injury
05:52Club is attempting to determine the severity and if surgery will be needed.
05:57Of course, Craig yesterday said that when he saw Jazz Chisholm get injured
06:01earlier this week to be a little bit skeptical, despite the fact that Jazz
06:05said he would be fine and be back in the lineup the following day. Craig,
06:10how did you come to know this? What do you make of the injury situation for
06:15Jazz Chisholm with the Yankees? Yeah, so having like insight or inside
06:20information on the injury here is not accurate. That's not something that I
06:24had. But, uh, you know, it's funny. I had somebody watching our show yesterday
06:29telling me, Oh, like you nailed it like spot on. Here we go again and again.
06:34This is no indictment on jazz whatsoever. But in knowing his track
06:39record for being a someone who diagnoses his own injuries, he's
06:46batting 100 or less. And, you know, that's just a fact. I mean, jazz has
06:52has been hurt in the past. A lot of freak injuries, including, by the way,
06:57the one that just happened, which is no indictment on him. But what has
07:01happened in the past and continues to happen is after the game, jazz says I'm
07:06good and I'm gonna play tomorrow. And the last few times this has happened,
07:10he's been out for the season. And so that's why when I saw this happen last
07:15night or two nights ago, whenever it was, the text started coming in. Did
07:19you see this? You see this? I'm like, Oh, boy, like, here we go. Uh, and
07:22again, not rooting for this. In fact, I'm rooting for the opposite for jazz.
07:26I want him to play 157 games this year and hit 40 home runs, which is probably
07:30what he would have done. But it just goes to show you that players cannot
07:35diagnose their own injuries. They all want to play. He wants to be in the
07:39lineup every single day. But the moral of the story is, unfortunately, guys,
07:44that this is a player that for another season is looking at a potentially
07:49extended absence. We don't know that yet. But if he does need U. C. L.
07:53Surgery and we don't know that yet, that is gonna cost him this season and
07:58maybe somewhat into next season as well. So fingers crossed that that
08:02doesn't happen, but maybe just a lesson to be learned when a player after a
08:07game says he's good and he's gonna play the next day. You should be skeptical
08:11of that. Absolutely. Specifically with the hamstring injury, Craig, I just
08:15cramped up a little bit. Yep. Seeing about a month, month and a half on that
08:18time stretch. The tough part about that for jazz Chisholm is if it was for the
08:21Marlins again, we don't want to see injuries. The Marlins aren't making the
08:24playoffs. He was gonna play a big piece in that New York Yankees lineup. So
08:27wait on that final outcome here on that injury. If we are taking a look at the
08:30National League, that wild card race is heating up. Why? Because the West just
08:34got really good. The Diamondbacks, the Padres and the Braves. If the season
08:38ended right now would be in that wild card race. But my goodness, Craig, the
08:41Diamondbacks and the Padres have really hit the gas pedal as of late.
08:46Yeah, the Padres won again last night, and I think that we gotta at least
08:51mention the fact that San Diego is not a team that goes into the postseason
08:56this year if they make it and you look at three or four pitchers who can be
09:00dominant. Maybe we're changing our opinion of that last night. My gosh,
09:04Michael King was just incredible. Six innings, no walks, 10 strikeouts. Is he
09:09guys? Is he gonna front this rotation? Is he starter number one for the Padres
09:14when they go in Joe Musgrove? What happened to him? You Darvish? What
09:18happened to him? I mean, it may be King, so that certainly changes the dynamic
09:22there. But you're right, Donny. The Diamondbacks are playing great baseball
09:25as well. Everybody can't make the postseason. Someone's gonna get left
09:29out here. I don't know who it's gonna be.
09:32You see, the odds very strong in favor of both the Padres and the
09:36Diamondbacks. We've been on fire since the all star break. They are four games
09:41up over Atlanta. The Braves have a two game lead for that final and a wild
09:45card spot over the Mets. As of this moment now, not a wild card race, but a
09:51divisional chase in the American League West. The Astros have a game and
09:55a half lead right now over the Seattle Mariners. Minus 2 80 is Houston to win
10:00the division. Craig, when all is said and done at the end of 162, who is the
10:04American League West champ?
10:07Man, I guess I gotta go with Houston. After all of that, I think I had them. I
10:11think at the beginning of the season, I said, Don't write them off. Then I said,
10:13Yes, let's write them off. Now I'm saying let's not write them off. So
10:16again, I'm not your expert on the Astros this season, but they are going
10:19to get Kyle Tucker back. They talk about it every day. Verlander is
10:22getting closer to returning. I think Seattle did try. They got a Rosarito.
10:26They got some players. I don't think you can indict them for that. But
10:30Houston's track record tells you they're there. If Seattle doesn't make
10:34it, Ben, for whatever reason, I think there's gonna be some serious
10:36conversation going on with the Mariners. I don't think that's an acceptable
10:39ending to their year if they don't make the postseason.
10:44Let's get to some day baseball live right here on this Wednesday on the
10:49early line. We'll go to Minnesota for a few day games on this Wednesday.
10:53The twins will host the Royals. Craig, it's a virtual pick them. If Minnesota
10:58wins, it's a sweep over KC. If the Royals win, it could be big for their
11:03American League wild card standings. What do you like today in Minnesota or
11:06what the prospect is for both of these teams? Yeah, just kind of glancing at
11:10some of the exotics today, but correcting outcomes of these games is
11:14becoming tougher and tougher. Michael Massey, the second baseman of the
11:17Royals, has had multiple hits in two of his last three games. I saw on
11:21FanDuel, he's plus money there to get two plus hits. It's plus 250. So let's
11:26take that dart, throw it in that direction and see if we catch it. Yeah.
11:30Craig Mish, the daily bases like the days of old looking at a position
11:36player. Come on, Craig. We'll see you tomorrow. More of the early line.
11:42A Wednesday slate in Major League Baseball to break down for you here
11:48from the mind of Donnie Wright's side. A full Wednesday slate, only three
11:52games in the afternoon hours. We've got a lot of four game sets this week out
11:57in the National League that is included in Milwaukee. The Brewers host the
12:02Dodgers, L. A. A slight road favorite once again. Total of nine. Walker
12:07Bueller and L. A. Minus 1 18 on the money line. Of course, the Dodgers have
12:12taken the opening two games of this midweek set. L. A. Has won eight of its
12:17last 10 to the good times continue for the Dodgers in Wisconsin. I mean, why
12:22not? But it also is tough sometimes with the pitcher coming back off the I. L.
12:25Just showing some numbers here over the last 30 days. Nothing for Walker
12:28Bueller on the season itself. 169 batters faced. I so high weighted on
12:32base percentage high. This should be a chance from walking to get back into it.
12:35But sometimes you are just riding the hot team right now, and that's the Los
12:39Angeles Dodgers and Frankie Montas on the mound. Not great against lefties,
12:42not great against righties here going up against the lineup. Hear me out on
12:45this. Frankie Montas, a right handed pitcher over the past 30 days. This
12:49Dodgers lineup one through five. Oh, Tony bets Freeman Hernandez and Lux.
12:53Take a look at these Iso power numbers here. Granted, Mookie bets is just back.
12:57He only has three at bats here, but he is at a 1000 Iso power number because
13:02he did hit a home run there against a right handed pitcher. Look at Otani
13:04though. 66 at bats. 3 86 Iso. Freddy Freeman, 42 at bats. 1 89 Iso. Tasker
13:10Hernandez, 71 at bats a 2 99 Iso and Gavin Lux 65 at bats to 81 Iso all
13:16highway to don't base percentages. They should do damage. You look at that
13:19cheap price and yes, it is a public side on the Dodgers. I understand that
13:23and you're going into say, Well, I don't know. I'm gonna get out of Walker
13:25Bueller, but I don't really care about Walker Bueller. It's what that Dodgers
13:29lineup can do to Frankie Montas is what I'd be worried about. I think it's a
13:32cheap price and why not roll with the Dodgers again?
13:35Shohei Otani, two straight days of a home run against the Brewers. He now
13:39has 37 to lead all of the National League DRS. I was looking this up
13:43today, researching some stats to see where Otani ranked to see where Tarik
13:47Scouble was in terms of his E. R. A. And you know what I learned? Otani is
13:52tied for the second most stolen bases in Major League Baseball. There's a
13:55huge gap between Ellie de la Cruz, who has the most 59 for Cincinnati, but
14:00Otani is tied for second with 33 stolen bags this year. Did you know
14:05that? No, did not know that. And the guy does it all this way. Imagine next
14:09year when we talk about the MVP race, when you're gonna say like this guy's
14:12gonna be at E. R. A. Of 2.50 ceiling bases, hitting 40 bombs, batting 300
14:18and you said like how much money can we renegotiate and send his contract
14:21higher? At this point, he's been every like you're talking about a guy who's
14:24a D. H. Making that big of an impact on your team all the way around. He's
14:27phenomenal, man. He really is. It's minus 1900 now for Otani. It might be
14:33minus 1900 opening day on Otani for 2025, knowing he is going to be back on
14:39the mound as well. And Mookie Betts has returned and upped his average from a
14:43301 that he had when he was the National League MVP front runner to a
14:48308 into games back. But I was told that if a guy won the MVP award, he
14:54wouldn't open up as the favorite the next year. Yeah, I've been told on this
14:58network. If Otani was actually in the American League that he would be so far
15:02behind again, the narrow judges. No way he could win that. Go figure.
15:07A lot of confusing narratives. By the way, Walker Buehler makes his first
15:11start since the middle of June, a guy who had basically missed two full
15:15seasons in M. L. B. After undergoing Tommy John, he made eight starts from
15:20May to June. It was a struggle. He was one of one and four with a 584 era
15:27after nearly two months on the I. L. Once again, the Dodgers, of course,
15:31hoping for greener pastures starting today in Milwaukee. Robbie Ray for San
15:36Francisco has only made four starts this year, making his debut in late
15:40July. Not bad, though. Two and one with a 398 era to earn runs or less in
15:46three of those four starts. San Francisco a home favorite today against
15:51Atlanta. Both of the first two games of this set have gone to 10 innings. The
15:55Braves have won by a single run. Our guy Grant Holmes, though, on the other
16:00side for Atlanta against Robbie Ray.
16:03Now, see, we missed it up here. Like we're told like Ray Day. Shouldn't this
16:05be Ray Gunn? I mean, come on, man. Let's keep into the topics right now.
16:08Getting popped. You missed that one year. But if we are taking a look at
16:12Robbie Ray last 60 days, X. Fit minus numbers. Very good, Ben. At a 91. But
16:17how about this? His last 84 batters that he's has faced Iso power number
16:20against 2 39. Waited on base percentage against 3 35. So not all that
16:25fantastic. But he does have high strikeout rates. That's always gonna
16:28bump up your analytical numbers. But why overcomplicate yourself in this
16:31game here today, Ben? If I tell you we're in San Francisco, the ultimate
16:35pitcher's ballpark. Two lineups that leave a lot to be desired. Two previous
16:40games. Hey, they're not scoring that many runs. Are we just gonna say we're
16:43gonna break out and score runs today? No, I don't like the pictures all that
16:46much, but I think those pictures could handle these lineups in that ballpark.
16:49I don't think we get the eight runs we're going under today again. We've
16:53got extras in both games and we haven't had more than seven runs. That includes
16:58last night's 43 victory for Atlanta. The Diamondbacks looking for yet
17:02another sweep yet another win here as of late trying to sweep the Rockies. It
17:07actually has been close against Colorado. Both of the first two games of
17:11this set decided by just a lone run. Jake McCarthy, the hero last night in
17:15the desert to RBI single to walk it off for the Diamondbacks in the bottom of
17:20the ninth. Jordan Montgomery gets the start today against Colorado minus 1 90
17:25in favor of the D backs. Will it be a perfect 3434 Arizona in the midweek?
17:30This is what makes it tough here. Look at that huge price point minus 2 15. If
17:34you want the dog prices to plus 1 80. You look at that Arizona Diamondbacks
17:37lineup. It sets up really well against anybody, particularly right handed
17:40pitching everybody outside of Kevin Newman off the charts. I saw off the
17:44charts waited on base percentage, but we do know Major League Baseball is
17:47fickle. It's about that starting pitcher on the mound. If you're just
17:50looking at a pedigree name, who has it? It's gonna be Arizona, which is why
17:53the heavy favorite. But if I told you over the past 60 days, Tanner Gordon
17:57has a 94 X fit minus, but a 6.15 E. R. A. Y. Once again, the R. A. Minus takes
18:03it to the league average and make sure that all pitchers are equal depending
18:07on what ballparks they're pitching in, which is why Gordon has that elevated
18:10number. If you flip it over, take a look at Jordan Montgomery at a 25
18:13pitchers today on my card. He's actually number 22, a 1 22 X. Fit minus
18:18and also in E. R. A. Of six. So if you're getting a little frisky out
18:22there and you want to take an underdog because you feel you might have the
18:25better picture on the bad team, that's the Colorado Rockies in this game. I
18:28say this because you can't do that. Arizona's red hot. Like, why would you
18:32go against a bad team against Colorado? Just a few days ago, we had a minus
18:353 40 price on the least heel of the New York Yankees. And we told you also he
18:40probably wasn't the better pitcher in that game, and he was it. And they got
18:43bombed. Are we saying Colorado's gonna win by 10 runs today? No, but I do
18:46think they might be sneaky today. Now you cut and clip it in the final score
18:497 to 1. Colorado got wasted. That's what you get. But I'm just trying to
18:52present some facts here, where sometimes you just look at the teams
18:55and say should be a blowout victory. That's why that line is so high and
18:58say, Wait a second, maybe you should just take a total or look to the dog
19:01here. Yeah, completely agree. When you look at Arizona, though, five straight
19:06wins, nine wins in their last 10 games, 13 wins in their last 15 San Diego.
19:12Like Donny mentioned, two straight victories for the Padres. Also nine
19:16wins in their last 10 games. It's crazy to see what these two teams are doing,
19:20running away with the top spots in the National League wild card race and
19:25giving the Dodgers some chase in the National League West. L. A. Has to keep
19:28winning, still have a 3.5 game advantage. Can the Reds or the Red
19:34Birds, that being the Cardinals, try to keep pace around the National League
19:37wild card? It's going to be difficult, but the Cardinals, a minus 118
19:41favorite today in the great American ballpark against Cincinnati. Total of
19:459.5. What do you like in Cincy? I think they should be favorite in this game.
19:49You take a look at Kyle Gibson. Decent over the past 60 days, been 95 X fit
19:53minus an E. R. A. 4.35. It's a little bit higher, but his X fit number not
19:57as expert. Minus 3.89. Very manageable. Get a decent Cincinnati lineup in
20:02there. No question. But also you're looking at the pictures. You're right.
20:04Emilio Emilio Pagan is going to be on the mound on the season. 90 batters.
20:08He's faced. He's a right handed pitcher. Lefties have really gotten the best of
20:12them, but we don't have many of bats over the past month for him. So if you
20:15just look at the roll the dice and say you just don't like the Cardinals, okay,
20:18I understand it. But theoretically, for me, the better picture on the map will
20:21be from the Cardinals perspective, and I'll go that route. Slight favorites
20:24here. I agree with that.
20:26Yeah, the Reds looking for the sweep over ST Louis since he has 13 straight
20:31dating back to their weekend set. The Cardinals have lost the first two here
20:35also lost their finale over the weekend. Three straight losses for ST Louis. So
20:40at the moment, the Cardinals 3.5 games back of Atlanta for the third and final
20:45NL wild card spot the Reds 4.5 games out of that wild card chase at the
20:51moment. Cincinnati has won six of its last nine. ST Louis has lost eight of
20:56its last 12. Not where you want to be at this moment. More about FLB coming
21:01your way next. Cleveland looking for a series sweep at home over the Chicago
21:06Cubs, the Guardians and the Cubbies in the third and final game of their set.
21:11When you look at the numbers for today, Cleveland a minus 1 42 Moneyline
21:15favorite line working in their favor. 8.5 is that total. Will it be a
21:21perfect three for three for the Guardians? Or can the Cubs scratch out
21:24a victory in the land? Yeah, it might be a toss up here at this point. You got
21:28Jameson Tyone on the man. You're gonna take on Alex Cobb. Alex Cobbs only had
21:3121 batters had his face, so not a large sample size to try to dip into. But if
21:36we're looking at the opposite side with Jameson Tyone, I think we might have
21:39some opportunities for some RBI chances for the Cleveland Guardians. If we're
21:42looking at Tyone's numbers over the past 60 days, they're not bad. Ben 96
21:46exit minus right around average era under four decent exit and Sierra
21:50numbers. But in the middle of that lineup, Jose Ramirez, Josh Naylor, both
21:55batting from the left hand side. Why is that the problem against Tyone? His
21:58last 46 batters he's facing the left side. How about this? An ISO of 3 33 and
22:02a weighted on base percentage of 4 38 against Ramirez and Naylor in the
22:07middle of that lineup. A toss up game. I think at least one of those two guys
22:10can get an RBI, which will put you into the plus money.
22:14It's a good look. Another RBI prop. Perhaps John Kenzie Noel plus 1 72
22:19home runs for ribbies in the opener against the Cubs. A home run last night.
22:24That was the game winning run for Cleveland. The Guardians have now won a
22:27couple of games in a row, 3.5 game advantage over Minnesota for that
22:32number one spot in the American League Central. The Guardians at 71 and 49 best
22:36record in the L tied with the Dodgers for the best record around MLB. Speaking
22:42of the twins and the Royals, one of the few day baseball games that we have on
22:46the card on this Wednesday. It is a slight pick them or a virtual pick them.
22:52Probably better said today in case. Oh, wow. Now we're actually moving back.
22:55It's in Minnesota. It was minus 1 10 for the twins. When we asked about this
23:00game with Craig Mish, it was minus 1 12 on our graphic earlier in the day. Now
23:05it is swung back to Casey at minus 1 12. Maybe because of Craig Mish's pick for
23:11the day. Michael Massey, a couple of base knocks for Casey. I think it's
23:15actually good look by him too, because you're looking at Louis Varland on the
23:18mound. Not a great picture. 148 batters he's faced on the season. Nobody has
23:21problems with Ben left handed batters. So if you key on some of those and say,
23:25all right, if the wind is blowing in, though, from right field at double
23:28digits, that doesn't help left handed batters. You're basically looking to
23:31pull home runs and that might be a little bit of a hindrance, but there's
23:33still is close to 80 degree temperatures today in Minneapolis. But
23:36if we are looking at Massey against right handed pitching over the past 30
23:39days, 68 bats, he's had been a 200 iso. You'll live with that. You take a look
23:43at Vinny Pasquantino, 75 at bats against right handed pitching over the past
23:47month, a 214 iso power number and MJ Melendez here, another left handed
23:51batter with 34 bats against right handed pitching over the past month, a 267 iso
23:56power number. So for me, it's hard to trust some of these guys, which it's
24:00not a cop out because you're going to get plus money on any RBI props you
24:03have. And as I said, left handed batters might struggle a little bit with that
24:06wind blowing in from right field. But those three guys got some really good
24:09numbers against right handed pitching and a right handed pitcher, Louie
24:12Varlin, struggling with lefties. That's the side that makes the most sense to
24:15me. Forget about the side in the total. One of those two guys or even three of
24:18them can get RBI chances here for the Kansas City Royals. Casey's all star
24:24Cole Reagans will be on the bump. Seth Lugo, also an all star, but struggling
24:28as of late. He's lost five of seven, got the loss yesterday, got hammered by
24:32Minnesota in the 13 to 3 win for the twins. Cole Reagans, on the other hand,
24:37has won four of his last five starts. Casey, a game up on Boston for the
24:42final American League wildcard spot. Minnesota in that second spot, looking
24:47up at the New York Yankees. And again, Cleveland, a 3.5 game lead in the
24:51American League Central. The Houston Astros, winners of seven in a row,
24:56looking for a sweep against the Tampa Bay Rays. Maybe not a sweep. This might
25:00be just the second. Anyway, looking for an eighth straight victory for the
25:04Strohs in Tampa at the Trop. Houston, minus 126 on the money line. The over
25:10under is eight. Will Houston make it eight straight? Eight in a row. They're
25:14gonna get it done today. Take a look at the Lattell on the mound. Average
25:17pitcher at best. Last 94 batters that he's faced a 1 93 iso power number
25:21against and a weighted on base percentage of 3 44. Not a huge
25:25strikeout guy. But if you take a look at that Houston Astros lineup starting
25:28to come to life, who would think in a lineup like, you know what? We don't
25:31want to go with Jose Alto that he actually doesn't have very good numbers
25:33against right into pitching over the past month. But you know who does?
25:36That's Bregman. That's Alvarez. That's Diaz. That's Singleton in that lineup.
25:40Sometimes you just gotta ride that hot team, and that's the Houston Astros
25:44right now. I think the pitching matchup is basically gonna be a wash, but the
25:47Houston Astros playing much better baseball right now than the Rays. I'll
25:50go with the Astros winning their eighth straight game and taking care of
25:53business down at the trial.
25:55Eight in a row would, in fact, be a midweek series sweep over the Tampa Bay
25:59Rays. Ben, just trust your gut. Plus 5 60. That's the home run prop price for
26:04Alex Bregman, who has hit a home run in four consecutive games, of course,
26:10including the first two here at the drop for Houston. The Astros have a
26:15game and a half lead in the American League West minus 2 80 now a stronghold,
26:19at least from the oddsmakers position to win the division. What does Seattle
26:24have to say about that? The Mariners got lambasted yesterday, 15 to 1 in the
26:28Motor City. Tarek Schuble getting the better of Seattle and George Kirby for
26:33a second consecutive start on the side today for Seattle, though they are the
26:38favorites. Minus 1 44 in the Motor City to bounce back from yesterday's defeat.
26:43Total at eight. Will Seattle do that? Will Seattle bounce back with a win
26:48today over the Tigers? I believe they will do that today, and sometimes you
26:52don't want to step on that mound and say to yourself, Oh boy, they just
26:55scored 15 runs against the previous pitcher, who was a very good pitcher
26:58yesterday and now me having to shut it down. But I think that's gonna happen.
27:01Brian Wu Tang, as they like to say out there for the Seattle Mariners on the
27:05mountain. Look at his. Look at his numbers. Been 260 batters faced on the
27:09season in 0 88. Iso power number and a weighted on base percentage of 2 35. If
27:13you just take a look at the last 30 days, which included 90 batters. Oh,
27:1791. I saw what a weighted on base percentage of 2 28. He's been really
27:21good. I think the Mariners bounce back in a big way today and pick up the
27:24victory brisky. Not really a great pitcher on the mouth. I do think the
27:27ends bounce back and pick the W up after getting embarrassed yesterday.
27:31The Mariners did sweep the Mets over the weekend. Also won their final
27:35midweek game last week. They were on a four game win streak entering
27:40yesterday's matchup against Terrence Scoble and the Tigers. That, of course,
27:44coming to an end, trying to force a rubber match game on Thursday. Some day
27:49baseball in Detroit.
