00:03:26has demanded the Macho Man get a world television title shot.

00:03:32There's two titles the NWO does not have.

00:03:34This title held by Dean Malenko and the TV belt.

00:03:37And can you believe it that Prince Iakea, who's

00:03:40been a great champion but is still a rookie,

00:03:42will have to go up against this veteran, the Macho Man Randy Savage,

00:03:46live here tonight.

00:03:47Yeah, right.

00:03:48We got a situation where a rookie has a big title, the TV championship.

00:03:52And it's almost a mismatch, though, for Randy Savage

00:03:56to get in the ring with this guy.

00:03:59Randy Savage just wants to add this belt to the collection

00:04:01of the New World Order, Tony.

00:04:03It's a disgusting thing.

00:04:04Yeah, you know he doesn't care if he's a television champion, right?

00:04:07They just want to hoard the titles, basically, is what it is.

00:06:08possibly a career-ending injury

00:06:10where he will require neck surgery.

00:06:18And then we do understand this is an unconfirmed report,

00:09:21Good to be bringing you the action of World Championship Wrestling.

00:09:24As we said, later on in this telecast here tonight live,

00:09:28the NWO, by winning the main event at Uncensored

00:09:31not too long ago, will get their chance at a title.

00:09:35Ted DiBiase said, yeah, we want the Macho Man

00:09:38to go after the World TV title.

00:09:40Even though Prince Siaké is a youngster, a rookie,

00:09:43and even though he is the champion,

00:09:44he's got to be considered an underdog,

00:09:46not only because of the Macho Man,

00:09:48but because of the NWO.

00:09:49Well, of course, DiBiase's taking advantage

00:09:51of a situation where he knows the experience level

00:09:54is all in the favor of Randy Savage.

00:09:56Again, Tony, I don't think something Macho Man cares about,

00:09:59but they definitely want to add the gold

00:10:02to the collection of the NWO.

00:10:04Who really has the upper hand in our sport

00:10:06when you talk about teams?

00:10:07WCW, NWO.

00:10:09Cards and letters, telegrams, phone calls

00:10:12flooding into the offices of WCW

00:10:14certainly sting by the appearance he made

00:10:16last week on this program.

00:10:18And in Uncensored has given, really, WCW a trump card.

00:10:25back on the 16th of this month.

00:10:27It was Mortis against Glacier.

00:10:29Let's go to the footage right now.

00:10:31And what a match.

00:10:32This is immediately following the match.

00:10:33Gets his hand raised high in the air.

00:10:35There you see James Vandenberg.

00:10:37We talked during this match about the differences

00:10:39between Glacier and Mortis.

00:10:41Glacier, of course, has the martial arts skill,

00:10:44but Mortis, a pit fighter,

00:10:47trained in the blood sports of Malaysia,

00:10:49took him down, and then this gigantic man

00:10:52out of nowhere comes in.

00:10:54One of the most awesome athletic specimens

00:10:56we've ever seen, Larry.

00:10:57Yeah, and this is the mystery.

00:10:58I know nothing about this man or Mortis that much.

00:11:02He came out of the woodwork, Tony,

00:11:04at the orders of James Vandenberg,

00:11:06and they just nailed Glacier here,

00:11:09two against one.

00:11:11Well, they kicked him.

00:11:12There's a front kick that time

00:11:14with everything conceivable.

00:11:16And I tell you, as great as Glacier is,

00:11:19as undefeated as he is,

00:11:21he cannot knock that two down,

00:11:23especially of that size.

00:11:25Especially when you don't know they're coming.

00:11:27That's right.

00:11:29Speaking of Mortis, he is making, now,

00:11:31his WCW Monday Night Show debut.

00:11:35And, you know, when you hear him talking,

00:11:37we've heard from James Vandenberg,

00:11:39we've heard from Mortis,

00:11:40they know something about Glacier.

00:11:42There has been a kind of good relationship

00:11:46in the past across.

00:11:48And we still want more on the story,

00:11:50but there is no denying

00:11:52that this man is a confirmed athlete,

00:11:54a great fighter.

00:11:57How do you like it, Glacier?

00:11:59This man spelled the end of your career.

00:12:03James Vandenberg said it's gonna be

00:12:04the end of Glacier's career.

00:12:06Well, that's big words, but again,

00:12:08Mortis, not as disciplined as Glacier is,

00:12:11but again, when you have two men,

00:12:12one hitting you from behind,

00:12:14you're not aware of,

00:12:15it makes a big difference.

00:12:17You know, I do know one thing,

00:12:18and I'm sure Mortis realizes this,

00:12:20as well as this big guy,

00:12:21whoever he is, James Vandenberg,

00:12:23and really any wrestler in our sport

00:12:25that when Glacier can hit you

00:12:27with that standing side kick,

00:12:29or what he calls that cryonic kick,

00:12:31then it wipes out if he's on target.

00:12:33And he has been on target 99.9% of the time.

00:12:38Yeah, he's got good extension.

00:12:39That's what he's doing.

00:12:40This is, uh...

00:12:42This guy's, this could be an interesting match.

00:12:44And Jerry Flynn again, he was the kickboxer.

00:12:47He's in there basically with Mortis,

00:12:48the pit fighter.

00:12:49So again, you're gonna have a lot

00:12:51of martial arts background

00:12:52in both of these individuals.

00:12:55Get that head out of the way.

00:12:56So, you know, who can, I mean,

00:12:58who can succeed here?

00:12:59Is it the guy who's been a pit fighter,

00:13:01who's schooled in all forms,

00:13:03and just a basic brawler

00:13:04who combines those styles,

00:13:06or a great technical kickboxer

00:13:08like Jerry Flynn here?

00:13:09Who can succeed?

00:13:10Well, usually the technician will overcome.

00:13:14But then again,

00:13:15who's gonna get the first good shot in?

00:13:18Catch as catch can right here.

00:13:20No question about it,

00:13:21he tried a spinning hook kick

00:13:22to Jerry Flynn, and that time

00:13:24Mortis moved out of the way.

00:13:25He left it open.

00:13:26He brought that left arm up

00:13:28and kicked him right in the rib.

00:13:30Back leg front kicks to the rib cage,

00:13:34and now shooting Mortis in.

00:13:36Shoulder block.

00:13:37One thing that we've been so impressed about Glaser

00:13:39is how he has taken his martial arts skills

00:13:41and has adapted and has also combined that,

00:13:44and now is a college professional wrestler.

00:13:46Oh, my goodness.

00:13:47Nice spinning back kick there,

00:13:49and he couldn't cradle him up enough.

00:13:52Now a full-on dragon twist by Jerry Flynn

00:13:55up into a top wrist lock.

00:13:56Flynn will be better off.

00:13:57Go more to wrestling.

00:13:58The goal to what Mortis is not that familiar with.

00:14:01Forget the pre-fighting.

00:14:02Take him down on the knees.

00:14:04There's a nice move.

00:14:05A back kick, and he tumbled through on that.

00:14:08Mule kick is going right through with him.

00:14:12And can hit first now.

00:14:35Well, that is not smart at all.

00:14:39Look at those front leg back kicks that time.

00:14:41Combination both legs and a reversal.

00:14:47And a spin wheel kick caught him and brought him down.

00:14:55Mortis, though, showing a lot of tenacity here.

00:15:20with elbow drops and knee drops as well.

00:15:29the NWO after yet another title in this telecast.

00:15:34And there's a stomp to the head,

00:15:35and bringing up the NWO,

00:15:36that brings up another point about the NWO

00:15:39that we want to bring up.

00:17:50This must be the maneuver of coming here that James Vandenberg told us about,

00:18:25We first heard him talk right back on about the 10th of March.

00:18:30And in a span of 14 days, this man has become quite a contender in our sport.

00:18:36And obviously with one purpose, and that's Glacier.

00:18:38Well, you just saw the kick.

00:18:40That was the beginning of the end for Jerry Flynn.

00:18:42Ran into disaster.

00:18:44Got caught here in the flatliner.

00:18:46And Mortis, this time, pulled the weight over the shoulders.

00:18:50Looks like Flynn may just add a dash of rigor.
