Partly cloudy skies with a chance of rain showers likely across the Philippines

00:00As of now, the wind from the east is blowing here in Visayas and Mindanao

00:07and there are only localised thunderstorms in the remaining part of our country.

00:12Based on our latest satellite animation, as early as this morning,

00:15there are areas where there is strong rainfall,

00:18including the parts of Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro Region, Soxhagen and Davao Region.

00:23This is the effect of the combined thunderstorms plus the easterlies.

00:27And if we can notice from our latest satellite animation,

00:30the low-pressure area in the east of Luzon has already experienced a strong thunderstorm.

00:34This is in the Tropical Storm category with the international name of Shanshan.

00:38This is contributed by Hong Kong.

00:40As of now, the distance of this Shanshan storm is 2,140 kilometres

00:45east of central Luzon as of 3 in the morning.

00:48It will remain far from our land and there is no direct effect on our country.

00:55For today, the day of Thursday, a large part of Luzon will experience a cloudy sky.

01:00The fair weather conditions for today, which is accompanied by a hot and sunny afternoon,

01:06and then when the afternoon arrives until the evening,

01:08there are still places where there will be thunderstorms or rains that will last for two to three hours.

01:15It is still very hot today because of the easterlies here in Parting, Cagayan and Isabela

01:20where our air temperature is up to 34 degrees Celsius.

01:23The 33 degrees Celsius is still possible here in Parting, Ilocos,

01:27in a large part of central Luzon, parts of Calabarzon and Bicol Region, as well as Metro Manila.

01:33While in Baguio, the temperature will remain cold from 17 to 25 degrees Celsius.

01:39For our countrymen in Palawan and a large part of Visayas,

01:43there is still a part of cloudy, sometimes cloudy sky.

01:47Before noon, there are also areas here in Palawan where there will be rains

01:51while most of the rains in Visayas last until the evening, especially in Negros and Panay Islands.

02:00Our temperature here in Parting, Palawan is possible up to 32 degrees Celsius

04:15While the fair weather conditions are expected here in Northern and Central Luzon, as well as Metro Manila.

04:20For the next three days, there will still be some clouds and sometimes sunny skies here in Northern and Central Luzon.

04:26It's just a bit hot, especially in the coastal areas where there are frequent rains and landslides.
