00:00The Bloodletting Project of your Kapuso Foundation is a great help, especially for patients in need of blood transfusion such as dengue and cancer.

00:15That is why we are very thankful to the Kapuso people who are tirelessly donating their blood.

00:21Valeriano has been a bloodletting advocate since 2001.

00:32He was the first to write about blood donation when one of his friends was in need.

00:38But he realized the importance of it when his own mother was in need of colon cancer.

00:45Since then, he has been a pillar of the Sagit Dugtong Buhay Bloodletting Project in Evercommonwealth.

00:53He has already donated blood 12 times in our project.

00:58I just want to help people in need of blood. I also want to clean my blood.

01:06This year, he did not miss our bloodletting project.

01:11He is now with his son.

01:14My father encouraged me to help. I am happy because I am able to help.

01:21Within 28 years of the Sagit Dugtong Buhay Bloodletting Project with the Philippine Red Cross in Evercommonwealth, we have already helped more than 209,000 patients.

01:36The Sagit Dugtong Buhay is a big help.

01:39Especially now, the number of dengue cases in the country is increasing.

01:44If there is a need for blood for dengue, there are many bloodletting projects that can be done.

01:50We also met the Kapuso blood galloners who donated blood more than 8 times, including Valeriano.

01:59The patients of the GMA Kapuso Foundation, including our cancer champions, are able to get free blood because they cannot afford to pay.

02:10Because of your generosity, we were able to donate almost 2,000 blood bags.
