01:47Which is the way is gonna be led by the defense have a strong run game and not let the quarterbacks mess it up

01:53The quarterback can't turn the ball over they got to take care of the ball Gardner Minshew has been given the keys to the car
01:58At least immediately to start off as a piece at the first quarter of the season
02:02That's first four games man, and they're tough games, right?
02:05You've got the Chargers on the road the Ravens on the road
02:07You're back home for Carolina and the Cleveland Browns are at the house, too
02:10So, I mean it it's gonna be it's gonna be a tough war games
02:13And they're gonna really learn a lot about this team by the time that first four games are over
02:19But you know as far as just like even this game this evening, man
02:22I mean the the back-end guys the young guys
02:24They're gonna be playing their tails off not only for a spot on the Raiders roster
02:28But one of the other 31 teams in the National Football League, so I mean there's still a lot to play for tonight
02:33But yeah, there'll be no starters being played and probably some of the second, you know team guys won't be playing either
02:38So you mentioned the guy Gardner Minshew, what did you make of him winning the starting quarterback job here?
02:43Obviously Aiden O'Connell won some big games last year probably the biggest
02:47I mean he didn't play well in it
02:48But biggest one of the year was obviously in Kansas City on Christmas Day against the Chiefs
02:52Which in fact is the last time the Chiefs lost a game ended up winning a damn thing after that
02:57But I went into this offseason
03:01Just wanting a quarterback if I'm a Raider fan. I wanted to draft a quarterback in the first round. It didn't happen
03:06I don't think anyone expected Michael Penix to go in the top 10
03:09Then Lana cutting up and getting him after already signing Kirk Cousins Bo Nix
03:13I don't think that was ever realistic for them. But now you got a no Connells the backup. You got Gardner Minshew
03:19What are the expectations for the team realistically this season Q?
03:25Well, I'll tell you this man. All the warm and fuzzies are over right? I mean AP already earned the job
03:29So that's done that you know that that that hey is in the barn at the reps
03:33So now it's all about winning games. And how are you gonna do that again? I may go back to the defense
03:37It's expected to be very strong top 10 for sure
03:40It should be top 5 if they're gonna go where they need to go now, can they be top 5?
03:44That's the question right? I mean they've got some some really good players along that defensive line
03:48But what we've seen through two preseason games folks so far if they can't stop the run and again
03:53I don't want to overreact to preseason games
03:55You know how that is, right?
03:56Don't get too high or too low
03:57But you give up a buck 42 to Minnesota and a buck 32 to the Dallas
04:01It doesn't matter if you can get to the quarterback if you can't stop the run ain't gonna worry about throwing the ball
04:05They're just gonna run the ball down your throat
04:07So that's an area of concern that I have
04:09For the expectations for the long haul this season, especially with the Chargers and the Ravens being the first two games of the season
04:15They're gonna want to run the Rocks as well
04:16So you really got to make sure that you shore that up?
04:19But you know Gardner Mishu is a guy that's got a little bit of mobility. I was like you
04:23I was hoping that the Raiders were gonna be able to draft the quarterback
04:26Honestly, the Raiders really wanted Jaden Daniels. There was no way Washington was coming off that number two spot
04:30Let them trade him obviously AP has a lot of history with him going back to Arizona State
04:35And then I thought Michael Pennix would be QB do and then as you mentioned Atlanta took him at number eight
04:39So they went and got the best player available on Brock Bowers
04:42He's a guy that the Raiders all training camp all preseason. I found a way to get him involved in the offense
04:47So that's something to get excited about but I mean, you know Gardner Mishu is gonna have to prove why he's still around in the league
04:54He's gonna have to prove that he can not make mistakes
04:56Get the ball to the playmakers hands so they can make plays and make yards after the catch
05:00That's what it's all gonna be about in this look at the offense
05:03So I mean the expectations they win a games last season AP is trying to find a way to get to the playoffs
05:08You're gonna have to get nine ten wins to get to the playoffs. So you look up and down that schedule
05:12You find ten wins. That's what the Raiders have to do

05:31So what the question from 49er fans because for whatever reason Devante Adams always involved in trade rumors
05:36What is his temperament been like this training camp? Where's his mentals at when it comes to this Raider team?
05:41Where's Devante Adams at right now Q?
05:43Yeah, he's been actually really good
05:45You know, and of course everyone's talking about the receiver DACA with Netflix
05:49And of course remember that was you know
05:51That was filmed last season while he was actually going through everything that he was going through
05:55But you know
05:56Obviously that was a question that we were all gonna ask for a training camp and and he was asked when the Raiders were there
06:00At Costa Mesa and I was there for all 17 days and he wasn't even there for all 17 days because he you know
06:06Went back to Vegas for the birth of his baby boy, which was awesome
06:09But I mean he seemed like he was you know, even kill he sound like he was chill
06:14Looked like he was excited about this quarterback competition. He already had a relationship with Aiden O'Connell
06:18He had mentioned that he wanted to get some more rest with Gardner Minshew
06:21And I mean he just kind of he kind of looked like he was going about his business in a business like type way
06:26Like he wasn't too loud about anything. You know, you just he just was there
06:31I don't want that he stood out in a major way
06:33Like he was that guy that was just super pumped up and fired up
06:36He just kind of went about his way
06:37Like he was getting involved in the offense learning the offense trying to lead a little bit
06:41That he had familiarity with look at the and then he left and you know
06:45We really haven't heard too much from him since I mean he's been at practice
06:48But didn't participate in any of the preseason games, you know, there was a

06:53He said that he didn't think he needed to be playing in the preseason game and then a piece that everyone who's healthy
06:58It's gonna participate in the game and then the next day the body was that practice in a jogging suit
07:03So he wasn't healthy anymore. So, you know how that goes. I mean, he's a superstar
07:08So I really think that the Vontae is gonna go as this as the beginning of the season goes, right?
07:12If the Raiders get off to a hot start
07:14I think he'll be good to go and there'll be no problem if they don't get off to a hard start
07:18That's when everything is up in the air and like, okay, how how comfortable and how happy is the Vontae Adams?

07:48Where do you see this 49ers squad potentially within the landscape of the NFC if they don't have Brandon Iuke? I
07:57Mean, I don't think they're one of the best teams in the NFC and you know
08:00I say that knowing that the NFC is not as strong as the AMC, but they are still strong
08:05I mean, I mean, let's make no mistake about it. Like I I know Brandon

08:10I know how you averages, you know, just under 24 yards to catch and you know, he's a big play maker
08:15But so with the Mac so can Devo be so can George it'll be I mean, you know
08:20You got a lot going on there with the 49ers
08:23So I'd look at you know around the landscape of the NFC and I look at the Niners. I look at the Lions
08:27I think the Eagles are gonna have a resurgence
08:29I think that they're gonna bounce back from whatever ailed them last year Dallas is Dallas
08:34But we know what happens in the postseason with the Cowboys. I'm not really thinking about them too much
08:38But you know, I think that there's those three teams right? I mean the Eagles the Lions and the Niners
08:43I I think you know, maybe the Rams can step up and do something, but I'm not 100% sure
08:47I was actually shocked by what they did last year. But you know, they still got Matt Stafford
08:51They still got Sean McVay. He's a hell of a coach
08:53So I don't want to take too much away from them
08:55But I mean like that the Niners as far as I'm concerned you guys could probably correct me if I'm wrong
08:59I think this is the year that that runs got to be completed, right?

09:05And then that that money is coming down the line man Brock Purdy is already looking at his new place to be living sooner rather
