00:00Good morning to all. This is the latest weather update for Tuesday, August 27, 2024.

00:09Let's first look at our latest satellite image.

00:12At the moment, we are not being monitored by a typhoon or a low-pressure area

00:16that could possibly affect any part of our country today.

00:20Southwest monsoons and high winds are still raging,

00:24especially here in Southern Luzon and Visayas.

00:28If we look at our latest satellite image,

00:31we can see thick clouds in the areas of Southern Luzon and some parts of Visayas.

00:37Here in the western section of Luzon,

00:39we expect that there are high chances that we will experience a rainy season

00:43in Mimaropa and other provinces.

00:47For the rest of the country, although we can see thick clouds,

00:53it is mostly offshore or in the ocean,

00:56but there is a high possibility of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

01:05It will still be hot in the afternoon,

01:07especially here in the areas of Northern and Central Luzon,

01:10especially in Visayas and Mindanao.

01:12There is a possibility that we will experience sudden or sudden rain showers

01:17when it comes to the afternoon and evening.

01:19In the coming days, we expect that the effects of the southwest monsoon will continue.

01:24There is a high possibility that the rainy season will continue

01:28in the eastern part of our country,

01:31possibly until the coming weekend or before the end of the week.

01:37There will be a rainy season today here in Luzon,

01:40as we mentioned earlier, the effects of the southwest monsoon

01:44or high winds, and we expect a rainy season.

01:47Today, here in Metro Manila,

01:49as well as other provinces in Cavite, Batangas, and the whole of Mimaropa.

01:55In the northern part of Luzon,

01:57there is a high possibility that we will experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

02:02It will last for 15 minutes to 2 or 3 hours.

02:06Here in the areas of Northern and Central Luzon,

02:10we still expect that it will be hot in the afternoon,

02:14and there are still chances of sudden or sudden rain showers when it comes to the afternoon and evening.

02:20As for our temperature forecast for the surrounding cities here in Luzon,

02:24for Lawag, our maximum temperature will reach 32 degrees Celsius.

02:29For Tuguegarao, it will reach 33 degrees Celsius,

02:3217 to 23 degrees Celsius for Baguio.

02:35Today, here in Metro Manila,

02:37the temperature will reach 24 to 32 degrees Celsius.

02:4129 degrees Celsius is the maximum temperature for Tagaytay.

02:44And for Legazpi City,

02:46the temperature will reach 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.

02:51In the northern part of our country today,

02:54in the areas of Palawan,

02:55we expect rain showers in the afternoon due to the effect of the southwest monsoon,

02:59as well as in some parts of Western Visayas and Taantike.

03:03And in the northern part of Visayas and Mindanao,

03:06generally, fair weather conditions will continue,

03:09from cloudy to cloudy skies.

03:12We expect that there will be chances of sudden or sudden rain showers

03:16that will be more common in the afternoon and evening.

03:20As for our temperature forecast,

03:21for the surrounding cities here in Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao,

03:26we expect a maximum temperature of 31 degrees Celsius

03:29for Kalayaan Islands and Puerto Princesa.

03:33For the surrounding cities in Visayas, Iloilo, Cebu, and Tacloban,

03:38our maximum temperature will range from 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.

03:44For Cagayan de Oro, it will be 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.

03:48For Metro Davao, it will range from 26 to 34 degrees Celsius.

03:52And for Zamboanga, the temperature will range from 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.

03:59As for the condition of our ocean,

04:01we still do not have any gale warnings for now.

04:03We will only have gale warnings until the right time of the gale

04:06that we will experience in our ocean.

04:08That is why our countrymen will be able to travel far,

04:10especially those who have small sea vehicles.

04:13We are just being careful with the plans to travel far.

04:15We are hoping for the rainy season,

04:17especially here in the ocean of Palawan and also in Maisulusi.
